  • Hopper's remodeled my bathroom in June 2013.  He replaced a fiberglass shower stall with a tile one, removed an old compressed wood vanity and formica top and replaced it with a wooden vanity and marble countertop.  He also removed the old medicine chest and replaced it with a very nice wooden one.  As with all remodeling projects, there were surprises.  When he tore out the fiberglass shower, he discovered that all the wood underneath was rotted.  That had to be replaced first.  Nate takes setbacks like this in stride, and perseveres until the job is done right.  He even met me at Home Depot to help me pick out tile and vanities and faucets.  At every step of the way he asked me my opinion about different things.  I am very tall, and  he took great care to make sure that the shower stall hardware and vanity height were customized just right for me.  He raised the vanity about 2 inches off the floor so it would be high enough for me.  I was also very pleased with the artistic license I allowed him to take in designing tile patterns and selecting colors and designs both in the shower stall as well as on the floor in front of the shower.  After everything had been finished, he textured and repainted the entire bathroom.  What a perfectionist!  I love my bathroom!

  • This was a huge job, and Erhart Construction handled it well from beginning to end. Jerry did the initial inspection that confirmed the damage we suspected and contacted the SIP company to file our claim. He met their engineer at our house, took core samples for them, and did all follow-up with the company --no small amount of work! And this was all done before we signed a contract that guaranteed him the job.
We received a partial settlement from the SIP company since the damage was their fault. However, since their warranty only stated that they were liable for the actual product they replaced (not for any damage that resulted because of their negligence), our portion was substantial. Jerry did a great job of walking us through the process of what needed to be done and helping to eliminate unnecessary items so that we could stay within our budget. He fielded an enormous number of questions and "what if's" and reworked his entire plan for doing the project at least three times before we came up with something that we all felt was suitable.
By the time work began on this project, our family had re-located (due to job situation), and my mother was left living in the home. I felt completely comfortable leaving Erhart Construction in charge of the job, even though we were moving across the country. Jerry was great about returning e-mails and calls in a timely manner and kept us in the loop on how things were progressing.
He notified us about unexpected issues that arose (like the moldy bathroom sub-floor) and gave us different options on how to resolve those issues. He allowed my mom to pick up materials for things she was particularly interested in (like bathroom tile, light fixtures, etc.), which enabled us to save some cost on materials (she got a full pallet of tile for less than $100!) He upgraded the shingles on our roof to a higher quality and increased the R-factor in our roof by putting more toward materials than toward labor. He also re-used materials that were still in good condition whenever possible -- another factor that kept our costs within budget.
Since we still live across the country and are currently re-locating out of the country, I haven't seen the finished worked in person. Jerry sent photos with the final statements that document all of the work completed, and they look great! My brother, who visited there recently, was awed by how good it all looks and the attention to detail. And my mother, who's lived through the whole process, is extremely pleased with the end result.
Overall, we couldn't be happier and will recommend Erhart Construction to everyone who asks.

  • Bryan was a referral from a friend and I called him to do some work on a rental property that I have in Stevensville. He was extremely responsive coming out the next day for a estimate. After the estimate, I hired Bryan immediately because of his expertise and courteousness. Bryan send pictures of his work to my email because I am a out of town owner and needed the work done without supervision. His work was very good as I was able to recently go and look at the work. Bryan is very trustworthy and went the extra mile in all the work he accomplished, he even carried out all the trash without nit picky charges. I will use Bryan for drywall and painting as long as I own my beautiful home in Montana.
