  • Good to work with on the front end and one reason I chose them over another company was Zac said they could start in 2-3 weeks. After they got a deposit in July it took over 8 weeks to get started. Had several weeks of "it should be any day now". Finished work in Oct. after first snow. Good work and reasonable price but dont have high expectations on them doing the work when they say. Other roofers said it would be 6-8 weeks as I didn't start getting bids until June. Maybe if you get a bid in March or April they will do it in the summer. Better yet make them commit to a "work complete no later than" date in the contract. All roofers I talked to wanted a significant deposit up front and there seems to be more demand than supply. Might request deposit be returned if work is not in progress by a week or two before completion date. I wanted to leave the will hire again box blank and just let you read my review, but it was required I check one. Since I shouldn't need a roof again for decades and this wasn't a great experience I checked no. The only real reason I wont hire a contractor again is if they do poor work and/or charge too much. Otherwise I try to to be flexible for skilled trades in demand.

  • The roof took a week which was good, clean up missed some things and since we are a daycare kinda nervous about that. The gutters the gentleman did a great job on the removal and replacement on that was great.

  • I had the best experience with Brian (the owner).  He called me promptly after my friend referred Rhino Roofing to me.  He brought over many samples of the shingles I could possibly choose from.  He gave me an estimate the same day he consulted with me.  He explained what fire and ice shield meant and he took the time to explain all of the charges on his estimate.  I was impressed with his customer service and how quick he returned all of my phone calls.  I never felt like I was bothering him or asking him too many questions.  The roof is looks amazing and his crew were respectful and cleaned up well.

To further attest to Rhino Roofing's workmanship.  I was getting an estimate for a deck I am having built, and the deck estimator is a structural engineer that works for a big local company.  The structural engineer was at my house for four hours discussing the deck but also observing the roof work that was being done.  He said to me, "just so you know, those guys up there on your roof are doing everything right.  They are doing an exceptional job."  That made me feel even better about my decision to use Rhino.  In the end, the deck estimator wanted to recruit Rhino to do roofing jobs for his company and asked me to connect them.

Overall a great experience and to know that Rhino was doing a good job from someone else was very reassuring.

  • In April 2015, ACJ Remodeling -Joseph Ashley installed a full-deck 5/8-inch plywood roof, an Owens-Corning Total Protection Roofing System, new soffits, fascia, gutters and leaders on my brother's 1900-era house in Richmond Hill, Queens.  Joe Santillo is the owner of ACJ Remodeling - Joseph Ashley.

On October 28, 2015 a driving rainstorm produced a leak in the ceiling of the bay window.  The next day my brother called Joe to report  the problem.  Within a week, two of Joe's men arrived to inspect the bay window roof.  The roof was sound.  They discovered that the leak originated in the trim beneath the 2nd floor window ABOVE the bay window roof.  The rain came in through that trim, ran down inside the wall and onto then through the ceiling.  In short order, Joe's men repaired the faulty window trim.  There have been no leaks since.

Joe Santillo stands behind his work, and more.  I'd be happy to recommend ACJ Remodeling - Joseph Ashley to anyone.

  • After Tom completed work for me earlier in the year, he was the first person I thought of when I needed additional work done at my town home. I was preparing my place for sale and had several issues that I needed resolved in a short time.  He was able to come out to provide a bid for the work within a few days.  His bid was significantly lower than bids from other contractors. He was able to fit the work into his schedule within a few weeks.  Once completed, an inspector came out and approved of the work that was completed.  The sale moved forward successfully!  Aside from doing good work, Tom is professional and kind.  I recommend him without hesitation!

  • 1.  He is  pretty busy, so you need to call earlier in the season than I did, but he told me fairly how long the wait time would be and he stuck to it.
    2.  I had concerns about my very expnensive landscaping aroung the house, and some special plants and roses I had brought in from my mother's South Dakota home  when she passed away.  Those things can't be replaced.  They took careful steps to protect the plants, and even had to do quite a bit of tree triming I had not consider would have to be done.
    3.  I was also very impressed by how neat they were each day, and the fact that they cleaned up so well you would have never even known they were here at all.
    4.  The most impressive thing that they did though was the amount of nails used on the shingles. The  50 year insurance that came as part of our deal required 4 nails per shingle.  They got to experience firsthand the kind of wind we have out here, and they used 5 nails per shingle and on some spots more.  We went up to check after they left for the day on the second day, and they did all that was promised.
    5. There was some kind of mix up on my address on getting the 50 year insurance, but it came, and if anything happens to this roof, it is covered.  We had this roof completely done in 2002, and it was guaranteed.  The contractor disspeared and we had no recourse when the poorly done roof failed.  This time, we have that covered.
    6.  We are very pleased and would highly recommend A&B Roofing.

  • This was a terrible experience. The representative came out before the agreed time. When we arrived home from work we waited 40 minutes after the agreed time and then were finally able to reach him. He told us we were wrong about the time and when he arrived we were not there. He did not try to call us at any point about his error. He left our gates open and let our cat out into the unsecured front yard near a busy street.  He was angry and rude but did come back to our home to discuss and estimate. When he arrived he had a terrible attitude. He presented 3 different options then told us how bad the first two were. After more than forty minutes of little more than bashing two options we asked about pricing. He gave us a range that had a six thousand dollar difference but never clarified the differences in the top and bottom price. When we tried to wrap it all up he kept saying "why, what's wrong?" and "Is there a problem?". He was hostile and rue the entire time. He acted like he was superior to us a s people and we should be lucky to be in his presence. He literally looked down his nose at us. We have a 3500 sq foot two story house so the job was not small. In the en when we said thank you and good night he immediately said that he could drop three thousand dollars off his bottom price if we went with the cheapest product. He left in a huff and we could not get him out of the house fast enough. We have no idea what the quality of the work or product offered by ABC are like but the customer service is terrible. we were so discturbed by the erratice behavior of their representative that we added another lock to our back door.

  • What a nice guy !!!!  He told me based on the weather predictions, the situation should resolve itself in the next few days.  He could send a couple of guys out but it would cost $300-$400 and he wasn't even doing it to his own house.  Said he was sure it would be okay.  Thanks for being honest and reassuring !!!!!!!

  • They were very responsive.  In fact they came to our house and provided us with an estimate the very day we called.  All calls were returned promptly.  The quality of the work was first rate.  There were no bargains but prices were fair. The materials were of top quality, the expertise and professionalism were the highest level.   We feel we received good value for our money.  When we have another project we will use them again.

  • The new rain gutters look good and work as expected. The provider also installed the gutter along a part of the roof that a previous installer had left out due to the challenge of working around phone and cable wires.
I didn't use the rain barrel in the recommended location because it was too late to move the irises. The temporary location collected rain water from a much smaller roof and still filled up more often than expected. A second and third rain barrel would actually have worked out quite well.
The only complaint is with the design of the rainbarrel. The spigot is near the middle of the barrel which is good for filling a bucket but the barrel never drains entirely unless you tip it. Half a barrel of water is very heavy and that's a lot of water to go out of an ordinary spigot. Leaving the barrel half-full all summer makes for a mildly stinky barrel of water.
There are barrels on the market with spigots much closer to the bottom making drainage easier. They have a drawback to though. You would have to build a small scaffold so the barrel would be a couple feet off the ground. Otherwise, you can't get a bucket under the spigot.
Both kinds of barrels have threaded spigots so you can hook up a hose and run it out to a tree or bush.
I preferred to keep the old gutters but hauling them away along with any other cleanup comes with the price.

I figured I got a good deal and would purchase from Quality Seamless Gutters again.
