Shelley is an experienced and friendly hygienist whom I highly recommend. She asks if there are any new problems or issues with the teeth and makes constructive suggestions and demonstrates how to improve my dental cleaning habits.

My regular dentist was out of town so I went to Mr. Stokke.  They did get me in right away, took an x-ray of my abscessed tooth, and started me on antibiotics and pain medication.  I went the next morning for the extraction and was it ever a circus.  I had told everyone in the office, included Mr. Stokke, that I had a SEVERE phobia of extractions and he assured me the tooth would come out easily.  Turns out, it did not.  He pulled, poked, twisted, and prodded my tooth and mouth tissues for over an hour before he finally got it out.  He was practically in my lap at one point.  They tried loud radio music in my ears and nitrous oxide but nothing helped alleviate my phobia and panic.  It was quite possibly the worst dentist experience I've ever had.  When he finished, he threw his dental instrument down on the table and stomped out of the room without another word to me.  I made arrangements to make 50% payment that day with promise to pay remainder in 3 weeks.  When I got to my car, I noticed in my mirror that my face was extremely swollen from his efforts to get my tooth out.  Also, everyone else in the office including other patients heard what was going on in my exam room during the procedure; very humiliating.

About 2 weeks later, I received a letter from his office full of misspelled words, very poor English grammar, and saying I needed to find a different dentist for any future work and that they expected the balance of my bill to be paid withing the week.  I was flabbergasted!

I did NOT pay the balance, sent him a letter in reply to his poorly worded letter, and asked that he refund the $100 I'd already paid him for such poor service performed.  They sent several letters in reply but I did not open or answer them and returned them all at his expense.  He eventually placed a bad debt report on my credit report!!!  I did rebut this bad debt report on my credit report saying I wouldn't pay for poor service.  This man is a horrible dentist, unprofessional in my opinion, and deserving my negative critique in this matter.  I do not recommend this person for dental services when there are far better dentists available.

My experience with Dr. P****** is nothing but wonderful.  He is the most gentle and caring dentist I've ever encountered, especially since I have a SEVERE phobia of having teeth extracted.  The 2 eyeteeth he extracted were (unexpectantly) extremely difficult to remove and he had to use surgical incisions to remove them both.  He was patient, took his time doing the procedures, and my phobia did not kick in at all.  The last time I saw him, he extracted 3 upper front teeth easily (in about 5 minutes total time) and I tolerated it very well much to my amazement (because of my extreme phobia).

My son, who has never had dental work done other than x-rays and cleanings, had to have several cavities filled using local anesthesia.  Since this would be his first time having oral "shots" for anesthesia, I told my son his experience would be nothing but positive with Dr. P******, which turned out to be very true.  My son's experience with Dr. P****** was a positive one and will most definitely not cause any kind of phobia with dentists due to Dr. P******'s gentle nature in his chairside technique, something I feared for my son because of my own previously horrendous experiences with prior dentists earlier in my life.

My only "complaint" is that it takes days/weeks to get an appointment since he is always booked up.  Also one is badgered a bit about paying the bill that very day of the dental work performed, understandable as most dental offices ask for the same thing.  He does offer a 5% discount if the bill is paid the same day service is provided.

I heartily recommend Dr. P******  for your family dentist.  He's great!!!

Dr Crowl has been my dentist for years. I have been going to her since my very first dental appointment. She is very friendly and helps to explain any work that has to be done. I have had numerous cavities filled by her, I have not had problems with the work that she has done on me. Her staff are very friendly and have wonderful bedside manner! I would definitely recommend her to a friend or anyone really.

She has been our family dentist for the last 4 years since we moved to Laurel. I had to find a Dentist due to having some pretty severe pain on my molars. I called around to various Dentists who were listed in the area and few were taking new patients. I took a chance with her because she is right here in Laurel. I cannot say i have ever been more pleased with a Dentist. She and all of her staff have treated my family well. I suffer from migraine headaches and when i go in I don't even have to ask for something to cover my eyes. Even my two young boys have never been afraid to go see them as they have always been so gentle. I would recommend her and her staff to anyone who asked.
