I had called and made an appointment to have the oil and lube job done the next day and my son would bring the car in and wait till work was finished.  Even with an appointment, he waited over 2 hours before they got to my car.  They also found 2 other problems and fixed those as well.  They told my son that the car needed new wiper blades and he said okay, even though they were supposed to call me if other problems were found.  I also had just replaced on wiper blade which was not given back to me.  However, they gave us a break on the total bill, so I said nothing.  Bill was paid there in cash and a printed receipt was given to us listing in detail all work performed, cost of parts and labor, etc.  I would use them again since they knew GM autos and knew the correct motor oil to use.
Of note, my son is a huge fan of Hummer vehicles, which this business is a dealer for (today they no longer carry Hummer).  So I bought him a Hummer T-shirt off a rack in the hallway.  Again, after paying cash, we got a printed receipt..............of someone else's bill for a minor car repair.  I didn't catch it for about a week but was surprised to see this receipt belonging to another person whose name, address, and phone number were all printed at the top.  Since it was a minor thing, I shredded the receipt and said nothing.

My car died while at another Laurel business some 4 blocks away.  I called them from the other business and asked if someone could come over and take a look at my car.  The technician was very nice and said they normally don't do that but he did come over in approx. 15 minutes.  He could not get my car started and said it would need to be towed to their business for diagnostics.  I asked if he would give me a ride back to their business and he did, saying they don't have insurance for customers to be in their work vehicles.  They ordered a tow truck from a local service provider which did eventually tow my car to the service center.  During the wait for the tow truck to arrive, my blood sugar dropped.  I asked if someone could get me home quickly but the younger technician became exasperated with me and said they aren't covered by insurance for that.  I found that odd since in the past, they have given me a ride home AND picked me up during previous use of their services.  I finally said I REALLY needed to get home due to symptoms worsening, and this young man stomped his feet, looked disgusted with me, loudly dropped the tool he was using on another car they were working on, and took me home (4 blocks away).  It was snowy and icy that day and he deliberately spun his tires, driving angrily, taking turns too fast and letting his car slide wildly all over the side streets.
When they called me later that afternoon to say the car was ready, they refused to come get me.  I had to ride my bicycle down there to get the car, something difficult for me with my physical disabilities and poor balance.  I asked if I could leave my bike there, drive my car home, and return the next morning with my son and the cash for the entire bill.  I was allowed to do this.
Next day I had my 19-year-old son with me and we returned.  The 2 technicians (the nice one who came to get me previously where my car died and the young man who was visibly rude and disgusted with me) were both there.  They saw me pull up with my son and the young one looked surprised to see us.  When I said we were there for the bike and to pay the entire bill, he came into the office with us, handed us a bill for fuel pump replacement with an attached smaller bill for the tow service.  We paid the entire bill in cash, got the receipt, and my son rode my bike home while I drove the car.
A few days later, the station owner called me and said I needed to pay the towing bill.  When I said we paid that when we paid the fuel pump bill, he said he couldn't see where we paid it.  I went down there in person with my receipt and showed it to him, saying my son would also gladly come in and verify we paid both bills in cash.  I then told him about the awful behavior of the younger man towards me.  He was mortified and said he's heard other complaints about this guy.  I don't know if this young man was fired but Mike apologized profusely about the entire incident.  I haven't been back there since but would consider using them again if I don't have to deal with that young man if he's still working there.  I must emphasize that this business has provided me good service in prior years and the station owner is very approachable and professional and takes pride in his business.  It only takes one bad employee to ruin things and the owner can't take action if he doesn't know about that, which is why I spoke up.  The owner was not at his station the 2 days I was there.
Of note, we took my car to a large Billings service center a week after this for an oil and lube special they had.  When they put my car up on the lift, we were told there was a hole in the automatic steering fluid line and a torn left front boot cover.  I find it odd that these things weren't noticed by Laurel Service Center when they had the car the week before, but we paid to have it fixed in Billings.  I can't prove this angry young man did this damage but I do find it coincidentally curious.

I bought a 1987 Toyota 4x4 on Ebay from an individual in Orgeon. I had the vehicle shipped. When the Toyota arrived I discovered the 4WD did not engage. I called Willard 4x4 because they had a good rating on Angies list. I told them the problem and they gave me an estimate for a worse case scenario. I also called my regular auto repairman, who is across the street and their estimate was double what Willard's was. Well I took the pickup to Willard's to do the repair. They called the next day and told me they would have to order some parts and they may not be available because of the pickups age. Well to make a long story short they had to fabricate some of the transfer case linkage pieces, because they were obsolete. Now, the bottom line. It was half the cost of their original quote and it works great. In fact it needs a tuneup and I'll be taking it back to them next week. I would highly recommend them. Kerry
