Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Helena

Initially we went with Lowes who hired a contractor for our bathroom remodel. The whole experience was a complete nightmare. Homeworks was hired to demo the bathroom and fix the multitude of major issues. They were quick, incredibly great to work with, and the new bathroom was done properly with an outstanding end product. We will be sticking with Homeworks for all future projects.

I have had great experiences with BLK! The projects have been done with quality and professionalism. BLK communicated well with me throughout the process. They took pictures, explained options, offered different price points for different levels of extensiveness and kept me in the loop. They made sure I understood how the work was being done and how the work would solve the problem I was having. They communicated clearly when unexpected things came up. I felt listened to and valued throughout the process. They provide excellent quality work and I will continue to use them. Like many contractors, it took longer to complete the work than was originally stated. They were very response when I asked for updates.

I have had good experiences with BLK! Both projects were done with professionalism and quality. BLK took pictures throughout the process, explained options, offered different price points for different levels of extensivity and communicated well with me. We started the project to make the bathroom ADA functional for me (Disabled Veteran) because of my back injury. I was having issues stepping over the the bathtub lip when I got out of the hospital due to a re-injury of an old Army injury. We wanted to make the bathroom a little bigger to widen the door for a walker, when needed. Remove the tub and just have a shower with a bench seat for access. We also wanted to improve the aesthetics in the process. We also decided to redo our small kitchen in the process and a couple of smaller projects to get it all done at once. We told the installation office our budget was $30,000. By the time is was all said and done we were told that it was going to be $40,000 in order to make it happen. I filed for a VA grant for the bathroom to help pay for the difference and we did it. From the start of the project Lowe's was horrible. They didn't coordinate the supplies and shipments correctly with the contractors, they didn't bother to verify the supplies when they came in, items were damaged, not what we ordered, wrong sizes, the Lowe's installation employees didn't do an initial checklist like they were supposed to, and coordination of projects was extremely disorganized causing major delays. When the new appliances came they had upped the appliances to high end costing appliances and we quickly found out why the budget was inflated. It was our fault for not verifying the final purchase of appliances and to be honest by the time the appliances came we were so sick of the delays and problems we just wanted them done. The contractors Lowe's hired did well on most things except for the shower. The shower leaked through the wall and floor right from the get go. This project started last year around April 2016 and our shower issues are still going on today. We have filed seven requests for repair. The grout the contractor use failed several time cracking and breaking apart. The window seal job they did around the tile wasn't down properly and the water started pooling in the wall and came streaming out the outside of the house, through the wall, into the floor and into the basement. The current issue Lowe's is ignoring now because we requested that they hire a new contractor, completely replace the shower and the potential water damage they cause and pay for the hotel during the periods it takes to fix the issue. It has been a complete nightmare. Lowe's management has constantly promised resolution, they promised it six times with no resolve. We keep seeing turnover and promises of the issue being fixed, but it still has not been fixed. We highly discourage using Lowe's in Helena Montana for any projects.

Jim Burgess showed up the day after I contacted him and gave the area a walk through, providing insights/advice as to how the work would proceed and what would work, considering the concepts we had in mind.  He was able to fit us in due to a rescheduling of one of his other jobs and the crew showed up as promised and finished on schedule, with little disruption of our lives, considering we were having two bathrooms remodeled!  They did great site prep, and were conscientious about leaving the area clean each day.  His team had great attitudes and were willing to explain their work and checked in with us as they started significant phases of the project.  They made changes where they could and only charged us for the significant modifications to the original plan.

All in all, we were very pleased and felt we got a quality product that exceeded our expectations.  In fact, we then asked Jim to GC a whole house paint later in the year because we grew to trust his judgment, honesty and candor.

I'd recommend Home Works to anyone.  If they say they can do the renovation for the amount and within a certain time frame, you can take that to the bank.

They were just fine. They were friendly, competent, and were easy to work with. We needed to change plans, and do some innovative stuff as they went along, and they were very good. The price was more than I expected.

Excellent remodel of primary bathroom in 1880s duplex unit - new fixtures, flooring, tile work, sink & cabinet, painting, installed fan, new lighting, wainscoting, etc. Have followed up with a few minor repairs (promptly, no added charges). Professional, friendly, good teamwork, well managed project. Excellent results.highly recommend.

The remodeling project went over what Terry hoped would be the deadline date.   He completed this 'pain in the you know what' project and did it with out charging any more than what he quoted on the estimate.  The only extra charges were for the extra supplies needed.
TD Construction will treat you fairly!

The professionalism and his great sense of humor kept us both going down to final end result to this home improvement project.   It is  beautifully down and I could not be more pleased.  I will recommend this construction company highly.
    Thank you once again, Terry.

We started out wanting a new kitchen with cabinets from Ikea and an addition to the bedroom to accommodate a second bathroom.  We wound up adding  a complete remodel of the main bathroom, re-plumbed the whole house and had the sewer line replaced.  We also had new sheet rock in the kitchen and main part of the house.  Terry was easy to work with and always willing to accommodate our expanding project.

I'm not sure what my favorite project is because everything turned out great.

We have already hired him again to replace the windows and door on the front of the house.

I have used Homeworks for many projects in two different homes the last seven years. This project went very well. The workmen are skilled and professional. Every day they clean up their work area before leaving. I cannot say enough great comments. These guys ate very very good. Would I hire them again? In a heartbeat!!
