    My wife is a breast cancer survivor who received treatment at St Peter's Hospital and the Cancer Treatment Center. This included surgery, and follow up chemotherapy over a 4 month period. An unexpected diagnosis, followed by tremendous uncertainty and fear. And to be honest, thoughts about whether she should seek treatment outside of our community.
    But with each visit, her confidence grew in her surgeon, Dr. John Galt, and oncologist, Dr. Thomas Weiner. Her surgery and follow up went perfectly. The hospital staff and nurses were extraordinary, with a level of care and concern that would rival any facility, anywhere. Even the billing office, which has had it's challenges in the past, did a great job.
    But the physicians, staff, and volunteers at the Cancer Treatment Center go far beyond any words we can find to describe them. The level of care and support they provide cannot be learned. It comes from inside. And we are not speaking of only certain individuals, but the entire team. And while they certainly can't make all of the pain, anxiety, and fear disappear, this group excels at providing something all cancer patients cling to...hope. We will be forever grateful to this dedicated team of professionals for helping us through this terrifying ordeal.
    At times, our hospital is criticized for perceived shortcomings. And maybe some of that criticism is deserved from time to time. I can only speak to our experiences. For my family, we are thankful that our community has access to this type of quality healthcare, and hope that Helena continues to support St. Peter's in its efforts to continuously improve.

    I have seen this provider for everything. She is absolutely wonderful. She is one of the few medical providers that actually listens to your concerns and addresses them accordingly. Though my issue most recently was a relatively minor one, even to me, she was attentive and took the time to explain why she was giving me two different medications instead of just one. (As a side note, the addition did exactly what she said it would do). I have been seeing this provider for more than three years as my primary care physician and have been extremely satisfied with each and every appointment I have had with her. I'm not sure I could say the same thing about any other doctor I have seen. If you are looking for a new primary care provider, she would be at the very top of my list of reccomendations.

    Please note that the business is called Urgent Care Plus not Helena Urgent Care.  The address is 39 Neil Avenue, Helena, MT.
    On 11/21/12 my college aged son was seen by Dr. Pujol, at Urgent Care Plus, regarding some sleep difficulties he was experiencing during his first semester as a freshman.   My wife and I were concerned and she accompanied our son to the appointment.  Dr. Pujol was quite helpful and prescribed a sedative at 1-2 capsules every night dosage.  The prescription had three refills.  Dr. Pujol also stated that using Urgent Care Plus would be appropriate for continued care for our son.  This was welcome information since we had recently relocated to Helena and my son was away at school for long periods of time.
      
    Over the course of the remainder of the semester my son found that it routinely required 2 of the 5 mg capsules to aid
    him to go to sleep.  Even though he did not use it on weekends and had a refill remaining on the first prescription we
    decided to return to Urgent Care Plus to see if we could get a 10 mg prescription for two months, which would last until he would return to Helena for his spring break in early March.  We met with Dr, Dea on 1/4/13.  Dr. Dea stated that he did not refill these types of medications and we needed to have a primary care physician who could provide continuity of care.  While he did
    refill the prescription he was condescending, condemning, and rude.  It was like we were being treated as a drug seeking patient and I was shocked. 
    What Dr. Dea told us was not only in direct contrast to Dr. Pujol?s information, it was delivered in a amazingly poor fashion.  The nurse came in afterward and tried to soften it a bit, saying that we could continue to be seen at Urgent Care Plus. While her effort was appreciated it did little to change our extremely negative experience.
    I subsequently wrote a letter describing our experience to Dr. Mark Ibsen, who owns Urgent Care Plus and did not receive a reply.

    Even though I scheduled the appointment only to transfer prescriptions from another provider in another part of the US, Nurse Beverly asked many questions to determine if there was still a need for the medication in the current dosage. She also reviewed side affects of each medication and asked questions to determine if I had any.
    She was very knowledgeable about my medical provider and how to order medications through Express Scripts.
    I would definitely visit with Nurse Roope again.

    I had surgery on this date and spent one night in the hospital. I was extremely impressed with every nurse who helped take care of me. They were all very professional, friendly and caring. I had problems during the night with nausea from the anesthesia and my nurse came immediately when I called her and assisted me through a very uncomfortable time. The hospital room was large and decorated nicely and very clean. My stay in the hospital was as pleasant as possible given the circumstances.

    Poorly.  While the PA was adequate the front staff was brusque and insisted on full payment up front even though we are insured.  They didn't even bother to look into our insurance, they wanted to be paid before we could see a doctor.  The PA (not a doctor) was OK but didn't seem to know if the prescribed antibiotic was safe for her in the first trimester.  Whole experience made us feel like we would have been better off waiting to see the regular doctor.

    They were really good. I had some problems with some of their equipment, so I wrote to them and made some suggestions. They responded and thanked me, and said they would implement some changes. I was surprised by this. I would go to St Peter's Hospital again.

    I thought Helena Urgent Care provided excellent care and were attentive to the patients needs. They will see you quick, have reasonable pricing and have excellent service. Specifically my son went to seen them and they took really good care of him.

    I cannot say enough nice things about every single one of the people who work at the Cancer Treatment Center. They are caring, committed and skilled, and they take time to make sure you understand what's happening and what your choices are. They ease your body during treatment and nurture your Heart during every encounter. Their new facilities are beautiful and comfortable - great job, designers!

    I'm a regular visitor to the lab and diagnostic imaging areas, and those folks are pretty great, too. However, I've had a couple of encounters with folks in diagnostic imaging who had to stick me more than a few times to insert an IV, and gouged around in my body in the process - one of my least favorite experiences in life - that's the only reason the bedside manner rating was less than perfect (no other category seemed to fit, either). Those folks were appropriately apologetic, and those experiences are not the norm, especially when you consider how many needles have been poked into me during the last few years!!!

    The billing/administrative staff are also easy to work with. Their computer system was confusing, though, and I wound up with a whole lot of different billing accounts that I could never keep straight because the charges were being moved around between accounts, accounts were combined, etc. The staff was pleasant and supportive when I asked for clarification. I understand they've since made improvements to that system, so this is probably a non-issue these days.
