  • DO NOT HIRE, this man is dangerous, and is a want to be contractor, the quality of work is what a armature would have done on his worst day. WORK TO BE COMPLETED : Bathroom remodel to include complete tile work, on floor ceiling and walls. Shelf added in shower area, and soap dish, with cove cut out for further storage. A medicine chest, sink, toilet installed, all provided by client. Recess lighting and exhaust fan installed by Big Sky Country Builders (BSCB) 2nd bathroom floor recovered with laminate floor of client’s choice. ADDED WORK: Kitchen floor tiled, grouted and sealed due to being income property job must be concluded prior to 1 Feb 18. $3500 deposit was made on 27 Dec 17. The house had been completely repainted on the interior by a different contractor with the exception of the bathroom. Estimated damage incurred from BSCB to walls, ceiling and floors of other rooms came to $600. Damage includes but not limited to, door frames marred, gouges in drywall, numerous scrapes, paneling missing and shelving being stained by equipment and materials being laid upon them. John Martin assured me it would all be corrected prior to him departing the job. It was not. BSCB cut water lines to remove toilet to lay flooring in upstairs bathroom, failing to shut off water resulted in flooding of upstairs bathroom leaking to downstairs through walls and under floor. Water ran approx. eleven hours prior to client discovering it. I had to call John Martin at 5:30 in the morning to have him come and fix it. BSCB attempted to dry out walls and downstairs floor with large fan, walls seem to have no further damage, however floor in downstairs has swollen and requires replacement as the possibility of mold could exist. Est. cost is $450. All tile sealed with wrong product creating a dull hard film on all ceramic tiles in kitchen and bathroom. This required 20 hours of work to correct. Est. cost $325. Electrical installed in the bathroom by BSCB is not up to code, no ground wire attached to light switch inside of bathroom, possibility of someone using that switch with wet hands is high being in a bathroom area, the result could be shock or death due to electrocution. Work did not end until 2 Feb 18. I honestly got tired of dealing with them and said they were done, I just wanted them gone. I could not move in occupants until 1 Mar 2018 due to BSCB not being complete prior to the 1st of the month. Loss of a months rent $1300. With the continued repairs of the rest of the house that BSCB caused it took several hours of my time to correct. Only to find out the job still wasn't complete. The upstairs bath was removed to lay the floor, then when put back into place the shower leaked and the drain leaked, again all to the downstairs. The quarter round that was placed over the new floor was not painted or nail holes filled, the heat vent was just laying there. The pedestal sink was removed from the room as well to lay the floor, when placed back in it was not secured to the wall, just balanced on the pedestal. The tile work in the other bath was subpar at best, white subway tile without hardly in grout lines is fairly easy to do (I have done it). However BSCB couldn't seem to do it without it looking like a basket weave. Title poked out nothing was flush. There are holes where no grout was added. Did I mention DONT HIRE? The kitchen floor was put down by removing baseboards then laying the tile. No baseboards were put back into place, no touch up painting was done, overall the job was done halfway. Now lets talk about their work space, nothing but a mess for over a month, debris left to walk on while working ground into the laminate flooring causing scaring and dulling. Because the house was unoccupied John Martian thought it was a good place to store an other projects supplies in the garage for a month. also old flooring that was removed from the home was placed in the garage with nails pointing up so you had to step over it as you came in the door or get a nail in your foot. Did I mention HE IS DANGEROUS. No safety equipment was provided for his workers, and the amount of dust created because he cut concrete board in the living room instead of in the garage as agreed made it unbreathable. John Martins solution...pull a window out of the wall without knowing how to unlatch it and break the window. Once these problems were brought to Johns attention, he would say he would fix it, he never did, John thought the job in another town was more important so he was rarely at the job site, and had his workers send pictures from time to time to check their work. I was there twice a day, everyday, taking pictures, and trust me, mine tell the story. Now lets talk billing. John came up with some good numbers had he done the job he said he would when he said he would, but he didn't, so I disputed the bill. We agreed a 1500 dollar discount would be in order. I was wrong, didn't know that until a week later. On the invoice John sent on the bill due date was 5 Mar 18, he sent the invoice on 12 Feb, John consistently harassed me to pay the bill before the due date. Right down to the 3rd of March where he threatened me by saying he would put a lien against me. My answer each time was the due date is the 5th of March. As the saying goes, "If you are dishonest, then you believe everyone is dishonest." So basically he accused me of not paying my bills. I did, on the 5th as agreed. Each time I spoke with John I learned more about how he doesn't know much about contracting, examples would be, wrong product on ceramic tiles for sealing, not knowing how to tile, not knowing the lien laws. I held up my end of this project, I would have a hard time pointing out any ends that John Martin held up. Basically, I have learned, don't hire John Martin.

  • The remodel was nice but he didn't want to wait for the tile to be installed,  before putting in the hood
fan. He installed it anyway. I explained it would need to be removed. He charged me for the double installation.

He said in order for him to do the job efficiently I would need to have everything for my kitchen at my home.  When I asked if he would be calling the cabinet company to arrange to have the cabinets delivered.  He said I should do that.  I know now, he was taking advantage of me.

A light globe was broken on my ceiling fan and the stairwell sheet rock was damaged and needed to be repainted.  An employee of his removed the brackets from $500 vertical blinds and he said I was nickel and diming him when I said I
would be reducing his final payment by those items.

He didn't want to do a final walk through when the job was completed.  I sent him a text message and asked if we could meet and he was down right rude and insulted my occupation.  I have worked for the bigest investment Firm in the NorthWest for the past 32 years calculating performance and fees and he out right called me a bean counter.

    Shaw Morgan is very unprofessional.

  • We were so happy with Alisa and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dimensions to everyone looking for new cabinets.  She helped us design a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a laundry room.  She pointed out things to consider when picking layouts and cabinets.  She offered options if we wanted to upgrade but always kept our budget in mind.  She always responded to emails and phone calls quickly.  We compared 3 other places for our cabinets and none of them could touch her prices.  And to get such great service was a huge plus.  The cabinets came in exactly when she said they would.  One of them was damaged during shipping and she immediately ordered a replacement.  She even delivered the cabinets herself and checked on the installers to make sure everything was going well.  After installation she was helpful in getting us additional accessories and helping us with some adjustments to the doors.  I don't have one single complaint about Dimensions or Alisa.  Great variety of products, great prices and the best customer service in town!

  • Bart did a wonderful job remodeling both bathrooms.  He showed up on time every day; commuted in from 40 miles away!  However, when it came time to finish his "punch list" not only did he not show, he never called either.  Disappointing, because I was going to call him to have him redo my mom's upstairs bath.  Now I'll have to find someone else.

  • My kitchen remodel was something I was dreading and had put off for years, knowing that it would be either miserable doing the work myself or stressful working with a contractor. Was I wrong! In the hands of Fini Construction, my remodel, start to finish, took just over a month (it would have been quicker but for my work schedule), and I couldn't be happier with the results. Dave launched my original kitchen - cabinets and linoleum from 1951 - into the 21st century with all new custom cabinets, new flooring, trim, and awesome attention to how the space would be used. The design process was highly interactive. We went over concepts, looks, and three sets of drawings before we landed on the new configuration that would maximize my very limited space. Dave made sure I was completely satisfied and had all my questions answered before he began the work. He's an awesome cabinet maker, and he quickly built the cabinets and countertop in his shop, waiting on the tear-out until he was ready to install the rest so that the process would be as painless for me as possible. The tear-out went smoothly as did the installation. He took unexpected setbacks - a vent and some duct work that needed to be rerouted in order to accommodate the new cabinets - in stride. After his work was done, I asked him to come back to make some adjustments to the countertop as the spec sheet for my new range didn't reflect its actual dimensions. He graciously returned to do that work in order to make sure I was satisfied with the project. I had worked with Dave before on some small projects. I am very glad that I chose to work with him on this major project. I highly recommend him for his eye to detail and professionalism.

  • Benigno did an excellent job at a really competitive price. He and his crew helped me with a fairly difficult and involved renovation of my row house. They added a bathroom on the second level and extended the flooring to close off a loft and complete a second bedroom. They handled electrical work, plumbing, drywall, tiling, and flooring installation very professionally and with a professional finish. Overall, great job.
