  • I took a friend's truck to Mr Tune Up to check out the brakes. After taking off the wheels and looking at the front and rear brakes, the owner of Mr Tune Up told me that he broke a wheel stud taking the wheels off and I would have to pay for it. He said it would just be a few bucks. I told him that was bad business since he broke the part and that he should have to pay for it. My friend had recently changed the tire and observed a tire company put on a new tire on that wheel and there were no problems with the wheel stud. The owner had a very aggressive body language.
The owner then said that the front brakes and rotors would be need to be replaced. He said it would be $373 for both. I asked him if we could just replace the brakes and not the rotors since we couldn't afford it now. He said that'd be a bad brake job and seemed very angry and stormed off. His attitude was terrible. I opened the shop door and told him I'd just like for him to fix the wheel stud that he broke and put the wheels back on. He did and still seemed very angry.
He then charged me $38.95 just for taking off the wheels and looking at the brakes. It was a terrible experience. Do not take your vehicle to this business.
We ended up taking the vehicle to S and D automotive in Great Falls after that. The guys were very friendly, only charged $240 for the same repair including brakes and rotors, and did a great job.

  • on the manifold exhaust part did a good job, but charged me for the parts I supplied
, the second concern was a glow plug problem not getting the right amount of juice to start after the battery system drained down . I was there everyday and they did not work on it lots of days. they were always recharging the batteries in the mornings saying they did not understand why the "NEW BATTERIES" were dead, but kept recharging them. they did not look into this matter for if they had like Carnahan's service did my whole problem would have  been addressed
. the bill he charged me for was wrote up a week and a half in advance and I paid the bill before the work was finished
the owner went to a family reunion and my motor home was put on the sidelines and I was treated as if they did not care since they got money. I took a friend over to get the motorhome the day I was suppose to go to Florida to pick up my father's ashes because they hadn't finished fixing it. we worked on it for about 4 hours and the more frustrated I became , I went to the office and complained but they said they had jobs lined up to complete for that day. I replied with what about mine, I was there before those jobs were added to their roster and I paid in advance. the service sucked and their attitude was the same.
other problems started appearing that were not issues. so, with the fuel, they drained the tanks, which were full, they made a comment on how much fuel I had in the tanks,. the fuel tank always stayed on a quarter tank at all times. empty or full. this problem was supposedly fixed but after my short trip to my daughters and being stuck on the highway 2 times I will explain further. small problems kept arising, the fuel tank in the rear was disconnected 2 times by them and the first time I brought it to their attention they plugged it back in under the dash.  the second disconnect was the day I took it from their shop and Carnahan's explained how it was connected , which was under the bottom near the rear fuel tank. these things worked fine before I took the motorhome to them.
the next light to pop up was the .rear oil sending unit which worked before I took it to them . .I had fleet deliver the motorhome to Midas to finish the exhaust system and while it was in their shop I paid them for a new oil sending unit to be fixed also. fleet picked up the motor home and I told them I had the oil sending unit fixed. the next time I checked on the motorhome, I was told the oil sending unit was bad and they replaced it trying to charge me for it again. I knew then and there I was being scammed.
I took it out of the shop when they said it was fixed and tried a short trip to my daughters. the nightmares started. I got stuck on the road twice on this trip. Found out my rear fuel pump to the back tank was disconnected and that the fuel tank they supposedly fixed , not the rear one, was not reading correctly. it now reads from half to full so at half tank it is really empty and I could not get my fuel from the rear tank. after a friend came and helped me for a couple hours we got it running and stopped to fuel it a few miles down the road. I proceeded to fill the tank and fill the rear by chance that it was not refilled by fleet... which it was not and 300.00  dollars  later was disappointed with being took for a ride by fleet.
to address the bill problems. to fix the exhaust manifold I was quoted 145.00 by another shop and didn't mind the 178.00 charge but they charged me for the exhaust pipe gasket I supplied, charged me for a convex mirror I supplied and 714.00 for fuel gauge problem that never works right and finally glow plug suppose problem 267.81 for disconnect and bypass glow plug inhibitor, this unit does not have a glow plug inhibitor or glow plug inhibitor switch. I was suckered, swindled, suckered. I complained about the bill but the owner was at the family reunion and when I complained in office and to his dad who is a partner nothing was done. I fell I have a right to complain and I tried to take it to small court but was thrown out due to not the right court system. I don't want to keep putting money after a bad service.

  • When I called for an appointment for my oil change and the weird noise pro-craft got my car in with in a couple of days - working around my work schedule.
I dropped my vehicle off and they nicely gave me a ride back to work. I was worried that the weird front-end noise would be something awful and expensive. It apparently took 3 of them (1 driving and 2 hanging out windows on either side of the vehicle) to figure out that the noise was from my un-rounded hub-caps. Strange and weird, but no problem and no charge!
They even offered to take me for a ride with and with-out the hub caps to prove it to me in case I did not believe them. They were ready to stand behind their word all around and even spend more time at the end of their day to show me. VERY NICE!!!
They checked out the brakes and other things on the car to make sure it was all safe to drive. Then they washed my car so it was really ready for our vacation.
Very nice and very professional. I am definitely going back!!

  • They checked everything on the vehicle and gave us a detailed report of what they found.  They also gave us an estimate of what it would cost to do the repairs they suggested.  Their information helped us feel comfortable with the price we negotiated for the vehicle.
