  • A long neglected water heater was finally attended to and we quickly realized it was about to give out any day.  Wanting to avoid the expense and terrible inconvenience of a crisis, I called Elkhorn at a friend's suggestion.  Steve assessed it over the phone as best he could, and sent Luke out within a few days.  Luke was incredibly easy to communicate with, discussing what he expected to run into and what he expected to have to fix.  He listened to my appraisal as well; after all, as the home owner I did have some information to contribute. Then he went to work.  He was awesome!!  Put in the much needed new water heater, added some filters to prevent the same problem. and straightened out a mess of pipes.  He truly left my utility room better than when he arrived.  CRISIS AVERTED!   I would highly recommend Shedhorn Plumbing to anyone.  I haven't got the bill yet, but unless it is ridiculously high, I am happy to pay it.

  • He was very efficient and courteous.

He recommended not replacing the water line to the refrigerator that had been recommended. He explained that for our usage the existing copper would last longer than the flexible. Thus saving us both labor and hardware costs.

  • Great service from estimate to installation and cleanup. I originally called them for a repeating slow/clogged bathroom sink, and rust and metal taste in kitchen sink water. They referred me to someone that specializes in snaking pipes for the bathroom sink, because it would save me money.

I had asked them for two estimates, one for replacing all galvanized plumbing (home inspection prior to purchasing the house in 2006 had pointed this out) and one for just getting the kitchen sink plumbing replaced. I also asked for a quote to replace the hot water heater (11+ years old and acting up), and to move the shut off valves for my washer from the basement to the first floor next to the washer.

The quote came in at $3500 for everything, using pex to replace the galvanized steel. They were thorough and professional in providing the quote (no charge) and scheduling the job. We allowed 2 days to get the work done, with no water over the first night. They were on time and very polite, walked me through everything they were doing, and answered all my questions. They finished at noon on the second day. Clean up was excellent both days. I have two dogs and not a scrap of anything was left in the yard that they could get into. Clark's even discovered that the faucet to the outside for my hose was failing and replaced that. They showed me a different option for placement of the bathroom drain pipe, which, combined with the vent, should alleviate the drainage issue that kept occurring. They also showed me how to replace the inline vent cap should it become necessary, how to tell, and what to get, so I wouldn't have to call a plumber.

Clark's Plumbing and Heating did not require any money down. I received an itemized bill about ten days after job completion, for LESS THAN the estimate, even though they added a few little items like the frost free hose bib. I rated the price as and quot;goodand quot; because this is my first time dealing with plumbing renovations, and I have nothing to compare it to, so wasn't comfortable selecting excellent. Although it is on a par with pricing for other renovations I have had done on the house.

Todd Clark and his employees were a pleasure to work with. They have also done work at my place of employment, and for my employer at his house. That's who referred me to Clark's Plumbing and Heating. I will definitely use them for any future plumbing issues.

  • They were not prompt and I was totally over billed for the time that was put in on the project. They took the copper for their benefits and replaced it with PVC.

  • They were professional, polite, and very prompt. I think they showed up about one half hour after I called. I would give them an A Plus for responsiveness if I could!
