"We hired
to install a tile shower in our master bathroom, ceramic tile floors in our master bathroom, ceramic tile floors in our kitchen/dining" area, and more ceramic tile in a hall bathroom. We worked with Sandy
, who said she owned the store but as we learned later does not own the store. Once we chose the tile for both floors, the crew came out and began work. They kitchen floor was not laid properly. Sandy's work crew refused to pull up the existing laminate floor and instead laid the ceramic tile over the existing floor. This has caused issues and the tiles are moving, popping out, and the grout is coming loose. Secondly, the shower tile was installed unevenly and subsequently has a topography that is easily noticeable. Also, her workmen built the tile out unevenly with the wall and then left the job without building the drywall out to the tile. Phone calls were made to Sandy
and she lied on three different occasions that she had contacted her contractor to finish the job and that he was not calling her back. Meanwhile, our hall bathroom was not completed and, as it turned out, was not completed by
. Sandy
then refused to refund us our money for the hall bathroom tile and the work that was not installed. She did, however, continue sending us bills. We contacted Sandy
through text as well as phone calls to remedy the situation by giving us our refund and to discontinue sending us bills for work that was not completed. Sandy
then treatened me over text message that if I continued contacting her that she would file a lawsuit against us for saying that we sexually harassed her. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they assisted us in getting in contact with the real owner of
located in
, Illinois. The real owners of the business and the Better Business Bureau assisted us in cleaning up the mess that Sandy's crew made, had our carpets cleaned after Sandy's crew walked on them with grout on their shoes, and gave us the refund we deserved. I do not recommend
for any flooring work. Sandy
lied to us several times, her crew was unprofessional, did lousy work, and did not leave your home secure once they finished working for the day, and did not finish the job that we paid them to do. There are other quality places in the Bloomington/Normal area for your flooring needs.

"Wanted to get estimate on flooring for 5 rooms. Did not return phone calls for 10 days. Finally reached through main office via pager. Scheduled an appointment to" come to my home. Cancelled 1 hour before appointment via email and rescheduled for following week. Never showed for rescheduled appointment. No phone call and no email. Truly unprofessional. Obviously my money will be spent elsewhere as they don't care about potential customers.

How to choose the right carpet for your home

One highly rated provider shares important considerations homeowners should make when choosing the carpet for various rooms in their home.

Carpet and rugs

Wood or tile floors are good in some rooms, but most homeowners prefer to install carpeting in living rooms and family rooms, especially when children are small. Here are tips on the types of carpeting available and how to pick the right one for your home.

If you're looking for eco-friendly flooring, research the composition of the flooring, as well as the adhesives and glues.

Most  reputable carpet stores should be able to help you, they know what is available. and should be able to find a good carpet for a good price. sometlmes they will buy overruns that are a good value. Also,   make sure they do use a power-streacher when they install the carpet! Pat All Carpet Repair

Carpet with pad purchase cost $10-20 for really economy cheap stuff, $20-30 for normal brands, and $30-50/SY (square yard) for high-end carpet, to $100 or more for custom or gold thread and such.

Installation cost does not change much depending on what varpet is installed - generally about $10-20/SY.

So, for normal medium-range carpet I would assume $30-50/SY.

1 Square yard = 9 Square feet

Carpet Installation reviews in Columbia Falls

We stopped at Carpet One based on Angie's reviews and there was
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
, the same lady we had purchased carpet from a dozen years earlier at a different company. She is delightful to work with and very knowledgeable, making good suggestions on where to spend and where to save money. She ordered samples which showed up a few days later. After we made color decisions, the guy showed up to measure and was very prompt. When we got the estimate we were surprised that it was several thousand $$ cheaper than a competitor who was quoting the exact same carpet. One of the apparent differences was the computer program used by Carpet One to

out and make efficient use of the carpet when cutting, splicing, matching patterns, etc. The biggest piece went from a family room, down the hall, into a bedroom, around the corner into a closet, and down the stairs off the hallway to a landing at the bottom. There was lots of cutting and seaming to make it look like one big continuous piece, and I challenge you to find where the seams are. Seams were required where the rooms were wider than the 12' carpet roll width and in the doorway from the hall to the bedroom. When they were done, the largest remaining piece from that was about 18" by 36" long. Wow. The other company was going to order about 350 more square feet of carpet to do the same job.
They were supposed to start at 10:30 and when it was past noon, we called
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
. She assumed they were already there. She followed up and said they would be there mid-afternoon. They finally showed up about 3pm due to delays at another job. Understandable, but a phone call would have been appreciated. They worked until 8pm that evening. They arrived after 10 the next morning and worked until about 7:30pm that evening to finish the job. The installer's english was difficult to understand, but they worked hard, never stopped for breaks or to eat, were very attentive to every little detail, asked a few questions as to how we wanted a couple of things done, and very polite. They did a beautiful job and I am a perfectionist.
I love walking barefoot on my new carpet. Very happy with the process and the result.
- Kirk L.

Great work! The job was completed quickly. I am very happy with the quality of the carpeting and the installer did a great job.

I was specifically looking for quality remnants because this was a new house (to us) and we were planning on doing a lot of remodeling and would be replacing the carpet again afterward the projects were over. In the meantime, the carpet that came with the house had to be thrownout. So, I still wanted good quality but I did not want to spend twice for it. I went to almost 15 different carpet stores from Homestead to Ft.

. I found that
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
has the best selection of quality remnants. But, I was not expecting to be treated so exceptionally well and the service to be so extrodinaraly professional!
From the moment I entered the store they where professional, patient and helpful throughout the entire transaction. I was treated no differently based on the fact that I was NOT buying full price. I was buying remnants for 5 rooms including halls and closets. I first met
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
at the West Ft.

location. But when I did not find everything I wanted there he referred me to the North Miami location. He followed through with me from that location and I was not handed off to someone else. It took me hours and multiple visits to make my selections, and he endured me with patience and respect. They sent someone to do the measuring to be sure what I was selecting was the correct size. They held the carpet for me for approximately 1 month until the house was repainted and ready for installation. They where more than accommodating.I made multiple calls for scheduling and overtime followed up promptly and professionally.
The installers where just as impressive and professional (and they spoke English) They took their time to make sure that each carpet selection was for the correct room. Their cutting and installing was prompt and perfect. They took their time to do it right the first time and not have to come back and went out of their way to be sure I was satisfied and happy. We were short for 1 large closet. They called the office and made arrangements to come back and finish up. It took another week but I didn't have to do any followup or worry about them returning. The office and

kept me update and informed every step of the way.

Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
was the sales consultant at the
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
Land location. He was knowledgeable, professional and just nice. He made the whole process of buying carpeting very easy for us. He came within 30 minutes to take the exact measurements for the carpeting and promptly ordered it all for us. The installers that work for this location were just great. Two gentlemen that worked very quickly and did an excellent job. My walls and floor boards were completely untouched with any damage. I had seen this Company ad in the newspaper for awhile and am very pleased that we did our business with them.

I have used R&N Carpet Service before.
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
is very knowledgeable abut everything to do with carpeting. I originally asked him to correct some bad installation issues with my upstairs carpeting and he did such a good job diagnosing and repairing the installation form another provider, that he would be the person I called for all my carpeting needs. I decided to rip up and install all the carpeting in my basement. I called
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
and he came over and showed ne quality carpeting at a decent price. His people (3) showed up on time and immediately got to work pulling up the old carpet and padding. They worked exceedingly hard and if they took a break, I never saw it.. Well before finishing to uninstall the carpet,
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
showed up with the new carpet and padding. They proceeded to carry out the old carpet and padding. It was bound in 4 foot lengths, just as I asked them to, since these were requirements of trash people for pickup. They then proceeded to install the new carpeting and padding in a flawless but efficient manner. The entire job, including cleanup, and furniture removal, restoration, took about 7 hours. They asked me to come down and look at the carpet and make sure the furniture was returned to its' original position. I was very impressed with their professionalism and work habits.

and hs crew will continue to meet all my carpeting needs in the future.

Rich provided excellent service and workmanship, from the initial consultation through to the final installation work. My wife and I were on a tight deadline to get the nursery ready, and Rich was able to get the installation done *the day after the consultation*! They had plenty of selection, both in types of carpet as well as color. Rich was able to quickly help us settle on a carpet that works perfectly for the room.
The actual installation went very smoothly - Rich and his associate
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
both worked quickly and masterfully to get the carpet properly stretched and joined with the hallway carpet. The whole process took only an hour, maybe even a little less.
To top it off, Rich and
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
even carried some heavy furniture into the room afterwards! Especially given the reasonable price,
Columbia Falls Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
exceeded my expectations - would definitely recommend.

The guys showed up earlier than expected which was a perfect. Took no time at all to install the carpet. The office staff was extremely helpful when we were looking for the carpet. Overall great experience and would use again in the future.
- meghan L.

This was a very pleasant experience. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and helped me select the right carpet for my needs at a cost that was 35% less expensive than the cost of two competitive quotes. Discount Carpets was able to schedule the job quickly, the installer arrived on time, and was extremely courteous and competent. I will definitely recommend them to friends; well done Discount Carpets ??
