The contractor did an outstanding job for us. The owner was punctual and very efficient. The quality of workmanship is as good as I've ever seen, and cleanup was great. Very professional. We would hire them again.

First I will say that when I first tried to contact them through their website, I never got a response. Then I tried through Angies list here as they had a coupon for setting up an appointment, there was not only no response but no coupon either. So i eventually called them and it took several tries because the phone number at the time went direct to the owner of the company who was traveling out of state working on repairs and it was a horrible connection so it took a few calls back and forth to get the information down. He did his best on that and eventually I had someone come out to look at the items and was told no problem and that a bid would be forthcoming. It took quite a bit longer than I expected and they wanted my paperwork and stuff so I give them that and then they had to work with the insurance company about some of the roofing material which they did with only slight delays. At this time is getting close to the cold part of the year so we were rushing to get it done before winter. I get my estimate and surprise its only the roof bid, which made me fairly uneasy and so I asked them and was told they wanted to keep the two items (insurance and other repairs separate on the bids) to make the paperwork easier. I was uneasy but went ahead with it and they came in and did the roof in two half days because of the weather and they did a fantastic job and I have no issues with my roof. That part of the job was great and efficient and everyone was happy. I was told by office staff that they PROMISED they would get out and finish my other work after the winter months were over. Fast forward a couple months and I start trying to contact them about coming in and giving me a bid for the rest of the work the PROMISED they would do. I get no response to emails for two months and finally I end up emailing the owner of the company and the guy who came into the field to work on my house and they tell me the office person who I was working with is no longer there but they will get the new person onto it and all will be well. That was 6 months ago. I have called and emailed through personal email and their website and phone calling to the point of it just being embarrassing of me begging to talk to the person in the office to get a written bid. Finally I had sent the final email saying they had five business days to get me some kind of response or I was going somewhere else. SO at the very last minute on a friday at like ten minutes until they close i get a small apology email with some puzzling questions as I had included all previous information in previous emails about what needed to be done and what had been done and what promises were made. Fast forward another month and a half of me sending two last emails begging for either a written estimate or just telling me that they were too busy. Thats all I asked, I needed a yes or no so I could either go ahead and wait for them or look for someone else. So here I sit with no answer and them basically avoiding me. Their work is excellent, The people are friendly when dealing with them in person and the field man is fantastic and he went above and beyond to try to help me but I have NO IDEA what in the world is going on in the office because they could care less about small jobs or even professional courtesy it appears to me. My advice is if you have one big project to call them otherwise go with someone else for your small projects because either they are too busy or there isn't enough profit in a small job, Im not sure but it took me a good 8 months or more from the time my roof was finished until today when I have finally had enough and will be looking for a different contractor.

    Testimonial for:

    Mr. Rich Naylor ? My
    Handyman Service

    Briefly, about myself,
I bought my first home in May 2002.
Since that time, I?ve done on average, one ?Home Improvement? project a
year. Some were minor improvements, others were major renovations. Personally,
    I?m not very handy myself. My motto is;
?If it can?t be found in the Yellow pages, it can?t be done!? I do like quality and I?m willing to pay for
it. As a rule, I always try and get at
least three bids. Generally speaking, one never calls back. One is ?out of the
ballpark? expensive and the third one is usually who I go with, or get a fourth
bid. Sometimes it works, other times?.
    not so much.

    In the summer of 2015,
I began in earnest, the search for a contractor to build an all Trex deck.
After the usual frustrations, I stumbled onto Mr. Rich Naylor, My Handyman Service
from a personal recommendation. From the outset, Rich was engaged. He?s a very good ?listener? and took copious
notes as to all my wants and needs. He
then put together a very detailed bid complete with drawings. As we moved forward, he worked with me to cut
costs, but not corners. He was very
receptive to my ?budget? and never felt annoyed or put out with my constant
questions and concerns. He said, ?This
is what we do!? He made insightful
suggestions and perceptive recommendations all the while, mindful and working
to keep costs under control. He has a
keen eye for detail and aesthetics. He?s
conscientious. He?s a man of integrity.
That said, Rich was not the cheapest or least expensive guy in the
field. In the end, I do believe I got
the most ?bang for my buck? with My Handyman Service!

    Using the Trex product
requires much research and a ?learning curve.? There are an overwhelming amount
of decking, railing and lighting packages and combinations to choose from with
a myriad of nuances to sort out. To add to the challenge, I insisted on having a
very intricate bench designed and built in and around an existing pine tree at
45 degree angles and added a fireplace from a separate vendor. Rich helped me navigate all of it down to the
smallest details including an access door in the deck floor to an existing
    basement window.

    When all was said and
done, approximately two weeks, my wife and I?s new deck was nothing short of
breathtaking and a place that complements our house. We are pleased to
entertain friends and relatives and feel like our new Trex deck is a showpiece
with all the ambiance, charm and cozy comforts of home.

In short, we love it! We are anxious to share and show off our new
deck to anyone who wants to see or talk about it. We enthusiastically recommend
Rich Naylor ? MHS for any deck needs you may be considering. We are anxious to discuss this reference in
    person.

    Sprague Construction Roofing, LLC
My neighborhood experienced two damaging hailstorms in the late part of summer of this year (2013). Nearly every house in the neighborhood needed roof repair or replacement. The two hailstorms were about a month apart, which meant that repairs done after the first storm had to be re-done after the second storm. Sprague roofing company was in very high demand, and many customers had signed up for their services before I did. Therefore, I ended up at the end of their work list (due to my own tardiness, not theirs), which meant that the repairs would have to wait for late spring of 2014. You cannot do very much outside work in Billings, MT, in the winter due to low temperatures. Based on my interactions with them, and their good reputation for their work, I am confident that they will come through with a good job on my home. I have a complete, signed contract from Sprague, ready to be executed in the springtime.

    Walker Construction
Walker was very nice and professional - his quote was fast and his price seemed fair. However, the job drug out for 8 months or so and some of the work seemed rushed as if he were spreading himself too thin between jobs. The wood is very poor quality and some finishing touches were neglected. Unfortunately I would not hire him again or refer anyone to his company. It was not a very good experience.

The job went well.Bruce kept me informed of  the time and what he would be doing on that date. He did everything he said he would do, and then some.  I found Bruce to be an honest man and excellent to deal with.  I was pleased with his work and I would definitely use him again.

Pinnacle Remodeling and Artisan Concrete Concepts
This job was supposed to have taken 2 to 3 weeks maximum and it took 3 months and is still not finished, they have to come back in the spring to finish the pergulia and sealing the cement.  Our yard and sprinker system were damaged extensivley and we had to argue to get them to fix it, it was finally done.  The owner was always late and he had one worker who did a great job but was not trained to do all work alone. The owner was very non chalant about the time lines, very cavalier attitude.  He was rude to our dog sitter.  He had a key to the house for electrical emgergencies and was coming in when we were not home and using the bathroom as well as his worker, we had to take the key back.  We talked to several construction owners who thought that the behavior all the way around was unprofessional.  We had to be nice so we could get the job done.  We spent over $1000.00 in dog care because of the extended time they were taking. There was something that went wrong pretty much evey day they were there and we would not use or recommend this company again.
I am getting upset all over again thinking about this whole ordeal.
We do want our names to be left out of this review.  We know he is fairly new but needs to learn how to be more professional and to accuratley estimate time lines.  He had mentioned several times that other clients were mad at him about how long he was taking to do a job.

He and his brother both work together.  I would call them to do general construction.  They did a perfect job.  It was like watching an artist at work with that concrete.  I would use them again in the future.

Bob is extremely honest & professional. He is meticulous about the quality of his work and his prices are very reasonable. He stays in touch every step of the way throughout a project and completes the work in a very timely manner. He even makes things right at his own expense if a subcontractor screws up! I would recommend his services to anyone for any project, large or small! You cannot find a better contractor!

    ProEdge Contracting
I called Kyle and he came out to the house and took some measurements.  He spoke with me about the different materials and products so that I could make an educated decision on exactly what I wanted and a day or 2 later called me with a bid on the project.  His bid was more than reasonable and a bit unexpected compared to some of the others I had already received from other places.  I agreed to the bid and had him order the materials for half down.  I gave him the rest of the payment on completion.  He was great to work with and extremely knowledgable.
