  • They had to come out a second time cus it was leaking but more importantly is that it cost so much more than every other plumbing company that I called after to see if the pricing was right.  Over $200 to have a hot water facuet installed is ridiculous.  Especially when you are providing the faucet and 99% of the material.  But what are you going to do after the work is done?  You can not tell them to undo it.  So I was a good sport and paid the bill but I do not intend to use them again.

  • UPDATE (September, 2013):  
    After calling to tell him the issues I was having with the bathroom, Paul came back out and adjusted the water pressure to my house, which fixed the problem with the gurgling kitchen drain.  Also, he added several layers of Teflon tape to the shower head seal, which was quite stubborn and desperately wanted to continue leaking.  He offered to look into fixing the couple of cosmetic issues I have, and will likely take care of those in the future.

    He also gave me a quick quote on replacing all of the windows in my house (they're still original from the late 50s/early 60s and are not efficient at all), which was much less than I feared it would be to upgrade them to the high efficiency sort.  I wasn't aware that he did windows, so I was pleased to hear it.

    ORIGINAL POST (August, 2013):
    He gave me a quote on the spot for middle-of-the-road fixtures and whatnot, which was nice, since it was less than I was worried it would be.  I live outside of his usual range of work, so it was really nice of him to agree to do the work at my house - he certainly could have turned the work down.  Due to scheduling issues with business meetings he had in Hattiesburg (a 45-60 minute drive from my house), there were a few days that he couldn't show up to work on my bathroom, but I didn't always know in advance if he would be at my house on any given day.  After a little over the week, the bathroom was done.  Despite having "cleaned up," there was still dirt and grouting in my new shower and all over the new tiles in that bathroom.  The wood floor in the bedroom leading to that bathroom is more damaged now than before, and there are lingering water spots from him using a wet rag to try to mop up the floor in that room.  (These floors are really old, and the seal isn't very good anymore.  Haven't had them refinished yet.)  Plaster was left all over my sink and floor and cupboards in the kitchen as well - he used my dishes to mix grouting and all manner of other substances for the bathroom job.  Overall, I'm happy that the bathroom is done, despite the fact that he removed the pressure regulator from my shower head (the pressure is really high here, so it's painful for me to stand under the shower head now) and the shower head leaks from having a sub-par seal (my husband is going to have to redo the seal himself).  I'm pretty disappointed, though, because I was really hoping to use him for my other bathroom (needs much less work, mostly cosmetic) and my kitchen - seeing the state of my home during and after his work, I wouldn't use him again.

  • I called initially for a bathroom sink fixture due to an old one dripping.  They changed the fixture and drain.  The drain kept leaking underneath the sink and ruined the inside of a vanity cabinet.  One person could not locate the sink problem so he called in 2 more employees who worked for hours just to change a fixture and drain.  After 3 trips, they finally got that right.  It was on older model sink and they were not sure how to make the new drain fit the older type sink...it was a trial and error type process for hours.
    I then had the inside workings changed on the toilet.  I thought easy enough job for the business owner, Mr Steven Zugg, but I was wrong.  Late one night a few days later, I went in the bathroom and stepped in water.  The turn off  valve was leaking so I called and his partner, Tyler Powell, came out...never mentioning an over-time charge.  I thought since they had changed valve, line and all, that maybe they wouldn't charge anything if the leakage was due to their installation.  He tightened one thing in a couple of minutes, then said he would bill me.  Yes, he billed me for over $90.  I am disabled and on SSI..this he knew.  I am still paying this bill which I feel like I never should have gotten.
    Today, my bathroom floor was covered with water again.  I called, but he said "next week" and then not sure.  I need a bathroom toilet and reminded him this was not the first time the turn-off valve had leaked after their "repair".  He hung up on me.  Professional by no stretch of the imagination.  Rude and incompetent.  No understanding for the disabled and lower-income.  Need compassion...too greedy and self-absorbed.

  • They showed up exactly when they said they would and did exactly what they said they would do. They let us know if they couldn't come when they said they would. Their work was very neat and professional and they always answered the phone and answered any questions we may have had.
