I was told by the receptionist at check in to stop crying because that would make my headache worse (as if I didn't know this and as if I could help the crying-I was in pain). I then sat in the ER waiting room for about an hour and 20 minutes. Once my vitals were taken, I was put in a room, and it was nearly another hour before a nurse came in and said she was going to give me something for my pain. I said I was nauseas too and she said she would give me something for the nausea. She proceeded to give me 2 shots (only telling me what one-the nausea one- was). Then she left. Ten to fifteen minutes later a doctor came in and asked how the medicine was helping and I said it wasn't. He acted shocked. I said I just received it so he said they had been busy. He asked what medicines I was on and I told him my migraine prevention medicines. He left. Then a lab worker came in and started to take blood and said the doctor had ordered all kinds of tests. I'm aware there are drug seekers, but I see a neurologist who works for OMC on a regular basis. It is probably in my records and easily accessible that I see that neurologist. My husband tells the lab worker very politely that we don't want tests done. The doctor storms back in about ten minutes later and says if we do not want tests done he is done treating me. I wound up leaving the hospital still in pain 3 hours after I got there. Also, nobody EVER asked me what steps or medicines I had taken to try to stop my headache. They never asked what drugs I had taken that day at all to know if anything they had given would cause a reaction. They also NEVER told me what the second shot they gave me was. I assume it was some sort of pain killer, but I was never told.

If you can go to a different hospital, then I would suggest you do so.
