bill of dental healthrecomended cap and replacing old filling.  I was suprised since I had regular exams with a very good dentist bill of dental health prior to moving to west plains and it had only been 8 months since I had my last check up and had been given a clean report.  Nevertheless, I agreed to the work and to make a long story short,  the tooth that was capped became sore and I had to have a root canal done in Springfield and the entire affair cost me close to four thousand dollars.

I had a great experience overall for my first dentist visit with this provider and plan to use this dentist for my family members also.  I was seen on time for my appointment.  The office staff were all friendly and knowledgeable.  Once I walked back to my appointment, I noticed the dental procedure cubicles were spacious and looked very modern.  They had the more advanced "wrap around" x-ray machine that you can stand up and it goes around your head.  This is much more comfortable than the other kind of machines some offices use.
The hygienist started me off with thorough x-rays and documentation since this was establishing my new patient appointment with them.  The hygienist then cleaned my teeth.  I felt the she spent an adequate amount of time explaining anything and taking care of my dental needs.
The dentist then saw me and was very pleasant to speak with.  He took time to look over my information, x-rays, and ask questions before performing the exam.  The dentist was thorough in examining my teeth and making sure any questions were answered.
Before I left, the staff took care of the necessary paperwork and everything was filed properly with my insurance.  I feel confident that this dentist will take care of me for any other dental needs that arise for me or my family members.

    Vetter, Dr. Lon R
We were seeing another dentist in our area and was generally unhappy with that dentist.  After finding a review of Dr. Vetter on Angie's List, we decided to try him for dental cleaning and check-up.  Initial contact was with the receptionist who was able to find two appointments (one for me and one for my wife) together only about two weeks later.  She explained the office procedures and the fact that they did not accept our insurance but that they would provide information that we could submit ourselves.

The dental office is clean and well maintained.

Although the appointments were for the same time, they staggered us, since there is only the one dentist, taking my wife first and taking me in about half way through my wife's workup.

The hygienist took the initial xrays and had them ready for the dentist when he came to check my teeth.  The dentist began by explaining what he would be doing and then proceeded to check each tooth for cavities prior to cleaning.  He offered me the choice of manual cleaning or sonic cleaning.  I chose sonic cleaning which turned out to be a good choice since in general it was fairly comfortable.

After cleaning, the hygienist finished up with teeth polishing.  They used a tasteless polish which was okay.

The cost of the cleaning and check-up was reasonable and they did provide completed forms for the insurance coverage.  All that was required of us, was the information about ourselves and our insurance information.

Overall, this was a pleasant experience (even for a dentist visit!).

I have used Dr Vetter for something like 25 years.  I would not consider going to another dentist and hope he never retires.

Until recently, we have had no dental insurance.  He has always been good at explaining my options, including temporary ones.  (by the way, his "temporary" solutions from 20 years ago are still holding strong).  His staff is exemplary.  They keep  him on time almost always.  The only  exception is when he has an emergency, and even then they will call and let you know.

Dr. Vetter is pleasant, easy going, and VERY skilled.  You should know that he is a little bit pricey, but when it comes to dental care, I don't mind paying more for the best.  I  highly recommend him and his staff.
