Window Replacement reviews in Wentzville

    New Transitions LLC
We just had New Transitions replace a number of our windows and are again very pleased. This is our second time to have New Transition replace some windows, and we also hired New Transitions to do two complete bathroom remodels previously. We obviously appreciate the quality of their product, workmanship, and professionalism. The work is always performed efficiently with minimal disruption, and they do a nice job cleaning up afterward. Bryan is a gentleman and great to deal with.

    Window World
There is a very long story as to why we needed to replace 19
windows on our 9 year old home but I won't bore you with that. Needless to say,
we needed new windows and the search began. The research, the reading, the
TIME....website after website (manufacturer sites, consumer reports, comparison
charts, energy efficiency ratings etc.) it became agonizing. I just drove
myself crazy reading and trying to make a decision.  I think it?s only natural to want to know
exactly what you?re buying especially when you?re spending such a large sum of
money for something that can potentially impact your home?s value one way or
    the other.
My advice?save yourselves some very precious time and just go with
Window World. Our salesman was prompt and professional and most importantly
honest. The windows we ordered were the 4000 (double hung) series with
the Solar Zone Elite glass with argon. We felt we were getting a great quality American made
    product.
My husband was home for the instillation. He said that
they were on time and did an amazing job. After the final look over he signed
off and since then all is history. We also have peace of mind knowing that we
    have a great warranty.
Overall our experience was great and would do it all over again. Our only regret was that we didn?t use
    them sooner.

    Signature Exteriors
Service was great.  It wasn't an emergency, so it did take a couple weeks to fit me in, which was ok with me.  The salesman told me upfront the tornado in the area and bad storms had him really backed up.  Jeramie was the field supervisor that showed up.  Very professional, nicely dressed and sounded very interested in fixing the issue.  Overall, very pleased with Signature Exteriors and Jeramie.

    Simplified Solutions Remodeling
We found his name, contacted him. He came out immediately and sounded like he would be prompt, knew what he was doing and should be our choice to repair our house.  He stated he knew how to deal with insurance companies and wanted to try to get the roof covered too. There wasn't enough damage. He stated he couldn't start right away because he was pretty busy, which we understood. It did take him quite a while to get started ( a month or so). He came out to measure, then we didn't see him for a while. He later contacted us letting us know that our siding was no longer available, which we told him when he started this ( we had a few other quotes and already was told this, which we told him). No contact again for a while. My husband calls him, he can't even remember who we are, so after my husband refreshes his memory, he states he's waiting on siding. Finally a few weeks later a crew shows up. They remove our downspouts, redo the siding. The siding looks good but trim is left in the yard and the downspouts are not put back up. The downspout were off for most of the project. We again wait. We end up calling him, once again. He comes out to see what's left which is plenty.  He says he'll get started on the rest.
I can't remember step by step but the entire job took A YEAR to finish with him showing up at random times without calling ahead (two times while we had family over to celebrate holidays), after not hearing from him for weeks to a month in between. Each time, he did one more part, leaving the rest for later.
Once the work was done it looks fine, mostly, but he's very disorganized and it felt like we had to keep track of what needed done for him. Most the phone calls felt like he was trying to bluff us through knowing where he was on the job or even what house we were talking about. Several times he called asking to wrap up the bill and we'd have to remind him that there was still unfinished work. No way were we going to pay it off at this point without it being completely done.
He gave us a quote at the beginning of the project. We payed for part of it once some of the work began. He finally gets done and wants my husband to sign over the insurance check. He refuses and asks what we owe, the owner has no idea. My husband tends to keep very good records so he goes in to look at what is already paid and what the quote was, plus any changes. He tells him what he thinks we should owe, they agree on that and finally we are done dealing with this company. Much to our relief.
Never again.  I had other families and friends hit by tornadoes this year and I referred them to the company who fixed damage we had from this year's storm. Which, by the way, that company took care of my friend's house before mine was even finished, and mine was damaged the year before theirs, with about the same type of work.

    Mod Glass
St. Charles Glass & Glazing gave me a quote that was double the cost. We felt they kind of topped up things for a woman because I was the one who was home. They responded right away. The type of glass he suggested we needed which was very expensive was not what the other companies said we needed.

Fresh Finish Masonry Inc. dba AAA Brick Mailbox
Doug is extremely professional, timely, and kept me informed every step of the way.  The two custom brick mailbox pillars were completed on time with a custom engraved address number in the limestone on both sides.  Doug poured the foundation and used levels to ensure that the pillars were of identical height and aligned with the street.  After completion Doug followed up with me on several occasions to ensure that we were satisfied and asked if there was anything else he could do for us.  I would use Doug at http://www.aaabrickmailbox.com for any masonry work in the future.

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of St. Louis
The service was excellent and the windows look great.  This was the second home in which we had Champion windows installed.  We were very satisfied with our previous experience and this was the determining factor in going with Champion a second time.  They produce a quality product and stand behind their work.  Their windows cost a little more than other companies but the product is quality and I have found them to be a reputable company which gives me peace of mind.  The windows are performing well and the comfort of our home has improved substantially.  If I replace additional windows in the future, I will definitely consider Champion.

    Inst-I-Glass of St Louis
They arrived at my home, setup their ladders, removed the cracked window and created a new one, then installed it...just a couple hours and they were done.  Very professional and punctual, and completed the entire repair service on site...no waiting.

    Amazing Siding Corp of Missouri
I must commend Paul Birner the owner of Amazing Siding.  I went to their website and requested some information on siding our historic home with James Hardie products that are approved materials for maintaining the US Classification for Historic Homes  something that my wife and I were interested in upgrading to.  We drove Paul and his team out to another Historic Home in our area to review our desired result.  James Hardie even sent out one of their Regional Installation Specialists  and a professional photographer to document and review our very special project with Paul and team of installers.   Two very experienced Certified Installers on James Hardie installations with years of experience worked six days a week for 3 full weeks tearing down three layers of our 160 year old Historic Farm House and then adding five new layers of insulation, wood siding,  foam board, a fiber moisture barrier  and the Hardie Fiber Cement product developed specifically for our location in Saint Louis, Missouri.  We choose the 4" clapboards and Hardie ran a special manufacturing run to accommodate the work order. Our two installers, reworked bay windows, reinstalled new light fixtures, trimmed out our windows with an Historic Window Casing managed to correct the many flaws that have developed over the last 100+ years.  They were a pleasure to work with.  They showed up on time, worked clean, were very accommodating and friendly to my wife and our dogs! I can only give Paul Birner and Amazing Siding the credit for doing an excellent job of recruiting great craftsmen and over seeing our project that now will be around another 160 years I am sure.  Great Job Amazing Siding and James Hardie!
    Thanks,

    Window World
We had some issues with them and we are not really happy. I spent $4400 on that work. The installation was not good. The window was pretty good for the price I paid, but we have air leaks and they have not put it in properly. It was a husband and wife team and I did not want to tell them anything. It was a cold time and we had cold air coming in and we had frost building in the house. We have called them but they want to send out the same team and I don’t want that to happen. Dealing with them was ok. They were ok with the installation dates. The product was ok.
