Chris was amazing! Very professional, friendly & explained everything he was doing. I was happy that he spoke directly to me, as my dad & real estate agent were present, and he could have easily just spoken directly to them, as they know more about homes & what he was doing than I did. I felt valued by his speaking directly to me. I had a termite & sewer lateral inspections done as well & the contractors that MPI had show up were excellent as well. All the gentleman spoke with me, explained everything they did, any issues they found, etc. The inspection was at 9am and everyone was either a few minutes early or right on time. I was encouraged to ask questions & Chris even said I could follow him around while he worked (although I chose to walk around the home myself & really look at it & take measurments).

The morning of move, nobody had called or shown up by 9am. I called the office and received a call back, they arrived about 9:25 with one man short, which only left 4 to do the work. I had conveyed to Mike (who gave me the quote) that we had an assembled treadmill in the basement. He said it wouldn't be a problem. He also told me that bedroom furniture that only had clothing didn't have to be emptied; they would just shrink wrap it closed and move it. The movers said they knew nothing about shrink wrap and they had to be emptied. The movers also fought me several times about the treadmill because it was a difficult item, even though we had disassembled it as much as it could. The movers were pleasant, but as they day went on, the professionalism went right into the toilet. They were bickering and fighting with each other all day long. Finally after 12 solid hours, I sent them home even though they only got 1/2 of the basement done. I didn't blame the workers for some of their frustration; they said they are never given any information about what to expect when they arrive at a home. That combined with being one man short made for a frustrating day for everyone. I was given an hourly discount because I was promised 5 movers, but it didn't make up for the fact that I had to spend another 1/2 day moving items that should have been moved by the moving company. Compared to other quotes I received, the price was much better, but in hindsight, the other companies spent a good 20 minutes with me so they knew exactly what the contents of every room had so they knew what to expect. Also, there were quite a few furniture pieces that were scratched and dented because they weren't wrapped appropriately. Yes, Anchor did pay for a repair person to come out, but I had to take 1/2 day of work to deal with that. We also had many more items that were damaged, but not shown to us by any of the movers. Cheaper is not always the better option.

Wes was early - great! a wealth of information and never seemed rushed. The report was easy to understand w/ lots of pictures. Because of some things he found I and my realtor were able to eliminate future problems. Yay! I have already recommended 7 Oaks to a co-worker and cousin! Great company!

They showed up semi promptly, they were all very courteous, but they stole some stuff from me. He said he would check in to it but I can not get them back on the phone. A few items were damaged as well.

Could not have asked for a better moving experience. Four very professional and personable guys showed up on time (called 20 minutes ahead to let me know they were on their way), got everything moved out of my 3-level town house in Creve Couer area and into my villa in Wentzville in a little less than 6 hours. Very reasonable rate too. I will definitely call on them again if I ever need a mover. The movers names were Cornelius, Matt, Jerry, and William.

Went well, minus coming early and doing portions of the inspection without client present. Missed a lack of insulation over custom modifications previous homeowner had installed in kitchen. Wouldn't be so bad but I mentioned concerns with one portion of the ceiling and was reassured he had checked out the attic areas and documented it was all in good shape. Also was unhappy that the report was delivered to my realtor instead of myself as I was the one hiring and compensating the inspectors not my buyer's agent. On top of that now I'm getting multiple telemarketing calls from a 'partner' they have my information to without my consent.

Initially Ryan came over and we spent more than an hour discussing the issues. We decided on the verbal report as I felt his information was more suggestions rather than detailed specifications. If I needed detailed specifications then the cost would have been more. I was fine with what he did. Ryan gave me the confidence I needed to take the job to the next step. However, after getting three quotes from contractors, I still had some questions. Ryan sat down with me and we went over the information I had. He made some suggestions and has helped me feel confident in my final decision.

They quoted $165 for the first two hours and $50 each after that. They showed up late, there was supposed to be three guys only two showed up. I had five rooms in my basement that needed to be done, I had a china cabinet that had my crystal and china, they were supposed to pack all of it including the drawers. They said it would take them four hours and five at the max. I went ahead and hired them. They took over three hours just to pack the top crystal. I did it on my own I did it in four by myself and I know I was being extra careful because its my stuff.

I told them what needed done in the other rooms and what didn't need packed, I took something and placed it on top of another piece of furniture and told them not to pack this stuff but that they needed to pack the stuff in the two side drawers anyways, they packed half the stuff in one side drawer and the other not at all.  They didn't do my china whatsoever, just the crystal. I had a bunch of mugs in the dining room, which they did the majority of the mugs but they knocked two or three on the floor and just left them.

Other stuff they were supposed to pack they didn't and stuff they weren't they did.  I had two cats that died recently and I was saving their ashes for my finial place to release their ashes, they packed one of my cats. It totally upset me.

They were supposed to pack two bed rooms and a office and another smaller room that had books. They left half that stuff undone. They went thru my papers in my office, I told them to leave the drawers alone. They emptied my drawers and went through my paperwork threw it all over the place only packed half the stuff on the deck.

I told them I would appreciate it if they took the bedding off the bed and pack it. They ended up piling things on the bed on top of the quilt I wanted packed.  I repeated myself over and over again. They took forever they were here for over nine hours. I am trying to get some of my money back and will report them to the BBB. As far as customer service goes, a F. I cant get hold of the owner or anything. The two guys that showed up were nice they just didn't do anything right.

They came out and saw the mess from the packers and they told me that their insurance would not allow them to move boxes like that. They came over and looked at this mess and said well, were sorry. I don't blame them but I am a little lost that they left, they just left me in the wind. We could have worked something out. I understand though if you would have seen the mess left by the packers.

UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL!! Cord would not stand behind the statement made in writing by their own employee who informed us via email on the day of our goods delivery, that we have nine months from the date of delivery to file a claim for damage. Cord sent a letter after we filed the claim within that timeframe that "any and all damage must be noted at time of delivery". It is impractical and impossible given the number of hours in a day and that this was a full 2-story home move to open everything and identify all damages on the day of move. The position Cord took in this matter is unethical and illegal. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) states that "You have 9 months from the date of delivery (or in the event of loss for the entireshipment, from the date your shipment should have been delivered) to file your claim." Cord refused.
