    High & Dry Foundation Repair
High and dry was fantastic. Always responded to phone calls. Answered or clarified all my questions. Prompt, courteous, and punctual! We have not had any serious rainfall yet but not a drop of water has been seen in our basement so far!

    1. Working with the office was exceptionally good. Called on a Friday and booked a Tuesday ( Monday was a holiday) appointment. Was given a choice of the visit resulting in just a bid price or based on the likely cost of $350 ( post Angieslist $50 certificate) having the work done at that time. Based on information found in customer reviews for this type of repair from several providers, I chose the latter. On Tuesday, the technician arrived on time and was efficient. I paid the technician by check. That day, by email, I received a paid invoice, lien waiver and warranty. 2. However, while the technician ( Tod, I think) was punctual and efficient, I found him difficult to work with. (a) Upon his arrival, I asked if had brought the promised proof of liability insurance. He said he did, that it was in the truck and would bring it in. That never happened. (b) More disturbing was his great reluctance to protect the area in which he was working, specifically, the carpet in this finished area of the basement. Before he started, I asked him to put something down ( in this roughly 6x6 vestibule) and he said he had some plastic to do that. He brought in his wall brush/vacuum and proceeded. When that was done I reminded him of the need to cover the carpet. When he brought in the expoxy to mix and apply, he had two plastic kitchen can size trash bags, each about 1"x2". One he placed at the foot of the crack and the other under the epoxy bucket ( leaving the carpet exposed between the two) and began mixing the epoxy on a piece of cardboard with a trowel. By then his hands were full and there was no place to set the items down so that he could stop and cover the floor. About that time, he said something like " there is 0% chance that I will get something on this rug". At that point, I brought a sheet to the area for him to use, but he proceeded to epoxy the wall. With that finished, I said that we were now going to fully cover the carpet and if it did not happen the work would be stopped ( prior to injection the second epoxy mix into the wall). Finally, he spread the provided sheet, saying something like, " is that good enough for you". He then finished the job. In the end there was a spot on the carpet, that I think I have been able to clean.

I felt like the company did an excellent job. Someone came out and gave me a quote beforehand and they were very professional, making sure that I completely understood what would be happening and the warranty involved. I scheduled an appointment and the day that the workman came out on time (early in fact) and began his work. It happened to be raining, so instead of completing work that could potentially void warranty, he rescheduled one of the cracks for a different day. I appreciated the thoroughness to make sure that the work was done well and that it would last. The second workman came out a few days later and finished the work. They give a lifetime warranty for all cracks that they fill and that gave me an incredible piece of mind that this was money well spent. I was very happy with their services and would definitely recommend them to someone else.

    The Crack Medic
Seth and team installed a sump pump and waterproof baseboard inside the perimeter of the basement. Seth repaired floor cracks, evened out rough spots in the concrete, sealed and painted the floor. On two occasions, he returned and repaired minor leakage which appeared after heavy rain storms. I am happy to say that our basement has stayed dry for almost a year.

    Demand Restoration
Mike was on time, courteous and businesslike.  He had to return twice after the first visit and he called and confirmed convenient times.  He was on tme in both cases.  Damage was not as extensive as we first feared but a mold problem could have developed rapidly.

    Irish Construction
I usually never write review but this time I must say I will. Irish construction came within 24h after my call, and were ready to do the work on my home the following day. Everything went well.
The team and manager surveyed several times my home to ensure no other deficiencies could be found ... they found two cracks on the outside of my old home, ground it, and tuck-pointed it in a snap in addition they cement my basement entry way.
The team was cordial, on-time, professional, and always listening ... all that with a little accent from Ireland!

    The Foundation Doctor
The gentlemen arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. I explained my situation. Basically, I have had water leaking into my basement which appeared to be at the wall that my porch is against. I built up the grade and sealed all of the crack in the porch, however, water continued to leak into the basement. During the last rain, I went down stairs and noticed that it was coming in through the sill plate. It did a thorough investigation and concluded that it was not the foundation, but instead it was the flashing. He believes that water is running behind the brick, hitting the sill plate and dripping into the basement.
He could have charge me to divert the water by breaking up the basement floor and installing a sump pump, but he said he would be able to rest at night knowing that he was just putting a band aid on the problem instead of getting at the root cause. I admire his honesty and integrity and for that I would not hesitate to call them in the future or recommend them to someone else.

They did a great job.  They gave me ear plugs because of the expected noise, but I didn't need them.  They worked on three separate days (one for the cracks, one for a drain system for half of the basement, and a third to finish off the basement when it was clear that the second section was still leaking water),  It took less than a half day each visit.  The basement was clean when they left.  I've had compliments since then on how dry the basement is.

    High & Dry Foundation Repair
Tom Ely was professional and kind.  Even though we were extremely worried--convinced we'd need expensive repairs to our house foundation--he didn't take the slightest advantage of the situation.  He examined our problem and investigated and found the source.  After doing so, he offered free advice about ensuring that we do not have similar problems in the future and checked our gutters, downspouts, and landscaping to advise us whether those would lead to potential leaks later on.  When we originally called to request an estimate, they didn't have an opening until the following week.  However, the receptionist said that she'd let me know if they ended up having any surprise availability.  She called back minutes later and said that they could fit us in this afternoon after an easier-than-expected job.  We were so relieved to have our problem looked at promptly.  We were impressed that the owner of the company was the one who came to do the estimate, since he was so clearly knowledgeable and fair.  We hope to never need foundation services, but if we do, we will immediately call High & Dry.
