  I will give Dr. Hoehon an A for my bariatric surgery in 2017. The F rating is for our discussion on 11/18/20 about the substandard results from my tummy tuck with muscle repair done earlier this year by Dr. Aragon. I made the appointment to talk to Dr. Hohen because he is the owner of the business to my understanding. First off, Dr. Hoehon entered the exam room not wearing a facemask. The city of Lenexa in Kansas is still under a mask mandate order. He had no regard for my health. Dr. Hoehon asked what I wanted done. I told him I want the substandard results of my tummy tuck fixed. I have a big bulge below my breasts and ribs. I have been to two Board Certified by American of Plastic Surgery surgeons and they both agree the results are inferior. The first thing Dr. Hoehon said is, your not getting your money back. He asked me what options I wanted. I asked what options was he offering. Dr. Hoehon said he could do lipo, but with the breakdown in trust he wouldn't touch me. According to the receptionist, lipo is not even done there. We went back and forth with no resolution. I asked Dr. Hoehon if he would be happy if his wife or family member had the same unacceptable results I have. He never answered my question. Dr. Hoehon's bedside manner was very disrespectful with his use of some foul language. I know he was upset. I was and still am upset, but treated him with the utmost respect despite the circumstances. Dr. Hoehon stated that they are three months backlogged on surgeries. I'm assuming bariatric surgery. Don't you think the Covid-19 pandemic has something to do with that? Dr. Hoehon also stated that they are the cheapest place in Johnson County for a tummy tuck and muscle repair. They charge $5000 for an hour starting from cut to close. $250 for every fifteen minutes that they go over that hour. The two plastic surgeons I spoke to were amazed that a tummy tuck with muscle repair could even be done in one hour. I called Dr. Hohen's nurse around 10:00 on 11/19 and it went straight to her voice-mail. I called the receptionist on 11/20 around 1:00. I told her I have not received a return call from the nurse. I explained to her briefly about Dr. Hoehon's noncompliance with not wearing a and mask on 11/18 and a few details of our discussion. She said I need to talk to the office manager. She transferred my call that went straight to her voice-mail and no returned call yet. KC Bariatrics has always been one of the most difficult office's to actually get a returned call from. In my 37 years of managing my own health care this has been the only unpleasant experience I have had. I don't see any resolution coming out of this. I just hope I can prevent someone, even if it's just one person, not to make the same mistake I made. Go to a board certified surgeon for your plastic surgery needs. Otherwise, you get what you pay for.

  The things that I like about it are that they have a childcare when you are using the gym. The things that I dislike are the amount of availability of equipment's. They have kind of have everything what you need but I guess they don’ have too much of it and it’s because there are not many people who go there. Most of their equipment's are fairly new.

  The equipment is up to date. They have a swimming pool. They help elderly people. They have classes. I go there every day except for Saturday and Sunday. They are super nice and helpful. They are great all the way around.

  Great facility. I use the pool, track, exercise equipment and have taken yoga and Zumba classes. I wish the locker room was cleaner. The showers are often cold and the curtains are not very clean. Class changes are not always communicated effectively. The website lists a schedule but it doesn't always have updates. It is difficult to talk to someone in the offices and I have had a tough time getting in touch with the pool manager to sign my daughter up for life guarding classes. On a positive note, I love having this beautiful facility in Rolla. It is a great amenity and selling point of our city. There are some excellent instructors, including Libby our amazing Yoga teacher.

  Extremely knowledgeable, and their price was half of what others wanted. It was hard to find anyone willing to come out and work on the treadmill. They followed up after six months and and asked if we needed another service. They are a small family business and are great to work with.

  Yoga At The Lake

  The class was lead by Alice Hammel, owner/instructor. The class lasted one hour. We did various exercises to improve our body flexibility. My lower back pain felt much better after just one hour so I plan to continue. It is close to my home. In addition to the formal program. Alice showed me some yoga moves that I can do at home to help stretch the back  vertebrae and help reduce the pain. She has over 40 years experience. She got started in Yoga because of her own back pain, originally diagnosed as Scoliosis and bulging disks. By doing Yoga, she was able to eliminate the need for back surgery. I was very encouraged by her experience and very happy about my future with Alice and her Yoga classes
