ABirkenmeier & Sons IncI have a 3 seasons porch that was getting mold on the inside. In addition, the base boards were bulging out. I called Al Birkenmeier and Sons to determine what needed to be done and for a quote. Al recommended we demo the porch and rebuild it due to moisture getting in and causing rot. Once the demo began, I realized how correct he was and was surprised to see how rotted the wood was. The project included the demo and rebuild. In addition, we replaced the outside door, outside light, and on my request replaced the ceiling fan and the inside window that looked out onto the porch. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. The rebuild looks so much better than the original porch. I am so pleased with it. I had no idea who to call for this job and am so happy with my decision to contract with Al. I highly recommend him.- Jan T.

It was designed with JPro's help to be handicap accessible and easy to manage and maintain. Demolition was completed the day before our nation's Covid-19 shutdown. AMizzell Remodeling & ExteriorsI should have written this months ago but I was too busy enjoying all the work that Mizzell Remodeling has done to my house. They remodeled our sun room, replaced our deck and side porch, put in new shutters and replaced the lighting in our living room. Throughout this project they kept us posted and informed of what was going on. They made great suggestions and work performed was even better than expected. Every person sent out to work on our project was polite, friendly and extremely mindful of cleaning up. Al set's himself apart from the pack with his professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and realistic advice. He gives an appropriate amount of time to discuss the project, listens to what you want, makes recommendations on the project, thoroughly bids the project (inclusive with his subs), and prepares a detailed a bid. Not all contractors will do this for you. Al is also honest and fair. He won't be your cheapest bid, but educate yourself enough to know that a cheap bid may have its problems and/or holes. Al understand the caliber of contractor you are consulting. Al is certainly at the top.- Matthew H.

ABirkenmeier & Sons IncI have hired Al numerous times over the last decade for renovation projects large and small (mostly large). I wanted to clad the interior of my 3-car garage/gym in reclaimed wood to create a studio-like effect. As usual, Al’s meticulous finish skills surpassed my high expectations (including color-coded outlet covers). As usual, he identified a couple improper electrical issues left behind by other contractors. I would hire Al again, in fact I did, as we immediately rolled this project into a 5-bath renovation.- gary t.

AJohnson ConstructionWe have an old home so we needed windows, floors, walls replastered, a full kitchen, a new bathroom and a wall removed, along with new outside doors and inside doors. We also had wood burning fireplace converted to gas, along with electric and plumbing. Our house is beautiful!!! Jessie Johnson along with his staff Phil and Cole, were super easy to work with, hard-working and very professional. I highly recommend this company. AMansfield Contracting was excellent to work with. Luke was on time to meetings and he or his Lead would keep me informed or changes or delays. The work started when it was scheduled and the major work was completed quickly. Circumstances beyond the contractors control delayed the project a little but i was made aware of the issues right away. The project only had a few unforseen costs but that possibility was raised up front and cost were kept with in budget. Over all it was an excellent job.

AOur home is 20 years old and due to some things that the original builders did during construction, we had excessive floor noise (squeaks and creaks) and the overall floor performance wasn't what it should be. I found Gary and Kimberlin Construction here, and after reviewing the site, talking to Gary, and sharing the specifics of our situation, he and his team were the right folks to come in and help us out. The overall job took three days, and I'm extremely happy with the results. The floor feels much better when walking on it, and the squeaks and creaks have effectively been eliminated. Throughout the job Gary and his team were professional, always on time, and took the time to both listen to the info that I shard, as well as explained what exactly they were going to do as well as what they did. They worked in a safe manner while in our home, something that is so important given the situation with COVID. The price was quite reasonable for the work that was done, and if I had to do it all over again I would. I whole-heartedly recommend Kimberlin Construction for any work that you need done, and I will certainly be using them again as needed for other repair or remodeling projects.

AWe hired Bruce and his team to rework our bathroom and kitchen and are extremely happy with the results. The quality of work and materials is excellent and the entire process was very detailed oriented. The changes were not rushed, but very meticulous and thoughtful. Bruce always confirmed on grey areas and had a constant line of communication open. Because we had both kitchen and bath being done, Bruce and team had access to the house for multiple weeks and they treated the house extremely well, kept dust to minimum and very respectful. The footprint caused by the changes was kept as small as possible. The project remained on schedule, overlapping the work on the two rooms to avoid unnecessary down time. Bruce and team are highly recommended.
