Excellent. Mack and his crew did an outstanding job. Our landscaping had gotten so overgrown and needed some serious work. They arrived as promised at 9 and finished by 3:30. These gents are really thorough and really pay attention to detail. I called on Wednesday. Mack gave me a call that afternoon and came by and gave me a quote on Thursday and arrived Friday morning. Fastest turn around ever! This will def improve the curb appeal and hopefully my house will sell fast! Well done gentlemen!

I had received bids from several contractors and the bid Mark provided was in line with what others were bidding. I choose Mark because of the positive reviews and lack of negative reviews and because upon meeting him when he came to do the bid, I felt we could work together. I also liked that Mark did the work himself and did not sub it out. My wife and I are overall pleased with the retaining walls and the attention to detail which Mark applied to the job. We have had several compliments from friends and family on how it all turned out.

I wrote the longest review ever and it just disappeared! I can tell you this though - don't even try another landscaping company. Call Tom and his team and you will not be disappointed. I was amazed at every turn. This is a top notch company and I will be calling them again when I need to rework my front landscaping.

I previously had Tom create a river of stone for my front garden bed and he did an amazing job, it was exactly what I wanted.  This time there seemed to be some communication issues. This was an exceptionally busy season for Tom and obtaining responses to my request for an estimate took some time. My guidance was to cut back the honeysuckle extending over from a neighbors yard (I had the neighbors permission for this), remove all honeysuckle beyond my visible tree line, re-edge the beds and mulch. The confusion came in on the removal of the honeysuckle. My expectation was that only the honeysuckle would be removed, instead all vegetation was removed including quite a few beauty berry plants and small saplings.
It is now Sept 2015  and I just noticed I had not posted this review; although I had written it up. I just had Tom do some more work, for which I will write a review, so it's obvious my confidence in his ability has not wavered but I feel the good and the bad should be posted. Fully communicating and understanding a project is important.

Mission accomplished! We worked up the plan in May and agreed to wait till fall was upon us to avoid stressing the plantings with summer heat. The result is stunning. The look of the corner property has been transformed into a thing of beauty. The house looks brand new. Not only is the outside gorgeous, but inside is light and bright with really nice trees and shrubs visible from the living room and dining room.
Boulders of different sizes and colors have been thoughtfully set among an interesting combination of trees and shrubs. Neat and symmetrical without being boring. The neighbors have all given it a thumbs up and lots of WOWs.
Clearing 10 year old cedar trees out, removing 20 year old burning bush that were deeply rooted, was surely not easy but the entire job was done in less than 3 days. Not cheap but worth every penny - the value of my home has sky-rocketed.
And it all started with Angie's $49 landscape review. Bob drew up some alternatives, did a patient walk through, gave me time to think about it, tolerated a bit of my resistance to change, and came up with a plan that looked great on paper and sounded perfect.
The reality is so much better.
Don't rush into a project but definitely let Bob have a look at your set up and talk to you about the possibilities.

Removed all of our old tie wall (railroad ties).   Put in a nice drainage and installed new stone tie wall. Graded the slope left from the old ties, laid grass seed and straw. The new tie wall is beautiful and I feel Cope Bros. did an excellent job.

Mark arrived promptly for a bid to fill in a hole where a pond previously existed and complete with patio pavers and then powerwash, sand and compact.  I could tell by listening to Mark that he was very knowledgeable about his trade and immediately guided me in how he would go about completing the project.  Based on my situation, he outlined right away that even if he did not get the job to ensure certain things were not done by other providers.  I could tell in comparison to speaking with two other providers that Mark knew exactly what he was doing.  Mark's bid came in between the other two providers, but based on my interactions with Mark he was the guy.  I called Mark and he got me on the calendar four weeks out.  Arrived promptly the day outlined and worked four straight days (staying till dark a couple days) to complete the patio.  Very pleased with Mark, his punctuality, professionalism and instructional tutorials he provided on what he was doing and why (I was interested in learning and he took the time to explain).  In the end, even though it was not part of the original bid, Mark brought over landscaping rock to complete the outer edge.  I appreciated this additional detail as it will save me time. Mark does not cut corners and takes the time to do it right.  I would hire Mark for my next project without hesitation.

    Baker Exteriors

This was a very big project, the tear off alone consisted of more than 80 yards of debris and took 3 days. The old roof was stapled on which made the Baker crew have a lot of extra work removing old staples. The on site supervisor made sure the roof deck was clean and it shows in the finished product!

The original bubble type skylights were installed in 1969 in a peculiar way, Wil Baker, had the Velux factory rep visit the work site to get the factory's recommendations on the best replacement methods.

The Baker Crew was always on time and was very hard working. Clean up was on going throughout the project and was completed at the end of each day.

Wil Baker, went above and beyond to make me happy, he knew I was a perfectionist and he made sure I was happy at each step of the roofing project!

I called Tom to see if he was available to give an estimate for a potential project.  He called back promptly and we exchanged voice mails a couple times, but finally got in touch and arranged a time just for just a couple days later.  The day Tom came out to gather info on the project he called to let me know he was coming.   I let Tom know that I wanted to completely redo the front landscaping to include a new landscaping wall, replace mulch with stone, and add new plants, and trim existing plants.  We discussed the general shape of the wall, laying new weed barrier, type of landscaping rock, buried drain for gutter downspout, small area of new sod, and since I didn't know anything about plants he said he'd take care of the plant selection (except that we both agreed on a japanese maple).   Tom then did some measurements and took photos and said he'd work on the proposal.  We discussed timeframe briefly and I stated I wasn't in a hurry, but interested in getting the project done before end of summer.  I did give a B for timeliness just because it took Tom a longer than I was expecting to complete the proposal, but he always got back with me promptly when I checked on the status.  We felt the proposal was reasonably priced for the amount of work requested.  We later realized the maple tree would block our view from the front porch bench and asked Tom if it could be moved.  He said no problem and suggested an alternate location.  Tom and his crew began the work exactly when he said they would and were finished in 2 days.  The new landscaping looks excellent.  Other than 2 or 3 of the 20 or so new plants struggling probably do to the very harsh summer and me trying to find the balance between not underwatering and not overwatering, none of which is would be the fault of Tom, everything went very well and I would definitely highly recommend.

We are very pleased with our experience with Finishing Touch.  Tom, the owner, was actively involved with supervision of the project as well as doing the work himself. Cleanup finished, and the yard, front and back look wonderful. I will definiely use Finishing Touch in the future and have no hesitation recommending the company.
