I called at 10:00 am and was told to come in at 11:30 am. 1:00 and i was still not called back. I would understand if the appointment was made in advanced that things come up, however, this was made same day and i should have at least had someone come out and reschedule with me or tell me to come back. I was missing work because of this. Very rude.

Dr. Meek didn't have an appointment open for three weeks, so I asked if a staff member could call me to see if there was anything they could do.  Unexpectedly, Dr Meek.  After talking to me, he fit me in the next morning for the shot.  I am already feeling better and am very grateful that he did that for me.

Appt. was not good.  Upon arrival, office check in staff made a remark to me "You seem frazzled."   Later time spent with dr. consisted of rude remark  "If you lost 1 lb, you would take 6 lbs. of pressure off of your knee."  I am not obese and felt the comment was not necessary.  Dr Spezia. talked quickly, was not compassionate and used a lot of terminology that was not easy to comprehend.  I understand that dr. needed to talk into recorder for transcription purposes, but I was totally with no background knowledge of this type of problem so I really wanted "common man" language to help me understand the problem with my knee.

Upon leaving, I asked front desk staff about where surgery is done.  Their short reply was "It depends on who does it."  Obviously, but they gave me no list of places for the dr. I used.

I would not recommend this dr. or return to him for care.

I had just been diagnosed with spinal stenosis via an MRI and went to Dr. Meek on my own, as I was familiar with the practice. I saw him for 4 visits; one for discussion of my condition and possible treatments and 3 for injections into both sides of my lumbar area. I was very satisfied with Dr. Meek. I asked many questions which were fully answered and he also showed me my MRI results and explained them. I was afraid of the injections, but his technique was so good that they were not painful. He explained everything that he was doing and continually checked to see that I was OK. He was cautious and compassionate. I am no longer in pain and will definitely return if needed. I do know that these doctors have to be very wary, as they are sought out by people who just want pain medication and are sometimes addicts. I took the pain medication my primary care doctor had prescribed with me to the appointment and was up front about it. He seemed to appreciate this. I was referred for physical therapy which is important in treating back pain. I did see that he would prefer pain meds be used sparingly and that other therapies and lifestyle changes be tried first or at least in addition to medication.

My visit this time was for recurring knee pain. They did x-rays to rule any new injury, then fully evaluated my strength and range of motion to determine that my pain was primarily from weak hips muscles. I was provided with exercises to do at home for a month. I am to return in 4 weeks for a recheck and if not better, will go on to the next step.

Dr. Larkin is wonderful. His bedside manner always brightens my day and he is extremely knowledgeable. On a previous visit I had injections into both knees and his technique was the best I've experienced.

I had surgery for my foot, then needed to have a follow surgery for an area that has not been able to heal. He's been scraping it for awhile, and it's beginning to heal. I've seen him every Friday since May. He's very nice, friendly, spends time with you, and seems to know exactly what he's doing. I've seen him in two St. Charles locations.

I have been to a few orthopedic surgeons and not a single one knew as much about the knee as Dr.Miller. His motto is solving for the future and not just putting a band aid on the issue. He gave me options on what to do, went over my MRI in depth, and encouraged me to do my research. I have seen others surgeons who tried to pressure me into Cortisone shots and who attempted to convince me nothing was wrong. I know my own body best and Dr. Miller was very reassuring and detail-oriented.

Dr. Paul Spezia was the surgeon. I have had multiple surgeries by this surgeon. This was misdiagnosed by an urgent care and my family physician. Went to see Dr. Spezia and he stated it needed to be repaired asap or if put off it could never be repaired. Surgey went fine. It was an outpatient surgery and would recommend his practice in the future. Connected to their office is Excell sports & physical therapy. One big advantage is the doctor has come over to see me when I am having physical therapy done. It is very conveinant. Great advantage for both services to be connected like this. The sports therapist and Dr. Spezia can work closely together. My therapist name is Nick Weber.

Our first experience at this practice was with Dr. McAllister when Greg broke his leg and the doctor was on-call. He performed the surgery and we were very impressed with the doctor and the office staff. Although they at times run behind, when we do get in, we get as much time as needed.

I've seen Dr. Larkin for chronic knee pain and he's used HA injections twice. The injections have helped for several months, but I now have what is most likely a tear in the right knee that may require surgery. I will definitely use this practice for that

I've also seen Dr. Meek for current (Dec 2013/Jan 2014) chronic back pain. He prescribed PT which so far hasn't helped, but we're making progress. He also prescribed a topical compounded pain cream which does help.

And Greg just recently had rotator cuff surgery by Dr. Frisella. He's 2 months post-surgery and is doing fantastic. He had previously had the same surgery on the same shoulder in 2009 and the results were never very good, so he has something to compare this experience with.

Overall, we highly recommend this practice.

I went to the emergency room that night and called Dr. Stein the next day. I told him I was going on a cruise the next week and needed to know if I should cancel. He got me in immediately. He examined me and started treatment right away. I worked with him on this for 5 or 6 months. I'd had him perform foot surgery 5 or 6 years before so I knew that he was good. He's also highly thought of in community, regardless of socio-economic status of his patient.
