    J & J Masonry Restoration & Chimney Repair
We moved into a home last year with an all brick chimney that was in desperate need of having its cap replaced. The owner gave me a breakdown of what was needed (and not needed) to permanently solve the problem. His crew was out a few weeks later, removed the old cap and replaced it in just a matter of a couple of hours. All were very friendly and courteous and the work is top notch. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

It was a great decision!! The front of my house looks so updated and the new porch and steps are so comfortable to ascend and descend. Sam and crew tore out the old concrete and put in beautiful brick and stone. My paver patio in the back yard is the beginning of some overdue landscaping. Very pleased!

    J & J Masonry Restoration & Chimney Repair
Very well. J & J provided outstanding craftsmanship in construction of the mailbox to our specifications. They were professional and easy to do business with. I would certainly use them again for any services that they provide relative to masonry, etc. They lived up to their many consecutive years of Super Service Award winner status.

    Archway Clean Sweep
Archway Clean Sweep was on-time and performed all the work we purchased on the special, swept the 2nd fireplace and completed internal sealing/caulking and external stack work, cleaning and caulking. Because of the time elapsed since the last time we had our chimneys swept, some work needed to be done inside and outside that was an additional amount. They needed to come back a second time to remove algae, etc. from the chimney and caulk it. That happened a few days after the initially sweeping and internal/external work. The dryer vent inspection was fine and no cleaning was needed. The gentlemen were courteous, explained what needed to be done and why. They also took before and after pictures to show us what needed to be done and the visible results after the work was completed. They ensured they didn't track into the house. All areas were clean when they completed their work.

    Taylor's Tuckpointing
We had some difficulty getting our schedules together at first, but we eventually were able to get synchronized. When we did, they came out like they said they would, and did a job that I'm pleased with. The provided before-and-after photos of the work that was done, and told us about additional work that would need done. The pictures were very helpful.

    Anchor Roof Repair/EZ HOME IMPROVEMENTS
They provided repairs to the chimney and some tuckpointing. They appeared on time, introduced themselves and the team and completed the work.  They showed pictures of the damaged areas and what they repaired. Very professional.

    Finishing Touch Landscape Co LLC
I had three people come out for estimates and I asked them for an estimate for a retaining wall and patio renovation. The first proposal was too high and the third proposal was priced better but the interaction with the provider felt haphazard with an estimate written on the back of a business card. Tom was the second estimate. What was particularly good about Tom's estimate was him stating the patio didn't really need to be replaced, it could just have a good cleaning and would look fine. This is the third project I've done with Tom and he seems to understand I am most concerned with function and cost. Certainly the patio could be made to LOOK better but Tom recognized that was not my personal need. I just wanted need and clean.

I was in no rush to have the work done so although the estimate was made in July I was in no rush. This allowed Tom to fit it in when it worked for him since it was a very small job. I was notified the day before the work began and it was completed in two days. Work supplies, tools and such were left on location overnight. If someone is a stickler for perfect clean up at the end of each working day they might want to stipulate that but I don't use the area for anything so it didn't matter. The final wall is neat, all materials left over from the disassembled wall were left neatly stacked for my future use. I was very happy with the results and will definitely call Tom for an estimate and consideration on future projects.

I needed someone to fix a crack in the firebox in order to proceed with the sale of a house. I had a limited amount of time to get the work done. Everyone at Mirelli's Tuckpointing was professional, friendly and helpful. They communicated with me via phone and e-mail and got the work done before my deadline.
I was in a bind, and the folks at Mirelli's really saved the day; and they did a great job on the repair. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and will use them again in my new home.

He never showed up to even look over the job and give an estimate of the work needed/cost.  Additionally, no contact was made with me for months.  I had to reach out to him for an update.  At that time, I was given the excuss that he had been in an auto accident and was going through physical therapy, but, he would get to me asap.  My response was that I understand that things happen and please let me know when he could get to me.  A month later, he communicates that he is still having issues -- extremely slow recovery and can't get to me yet.  He offered that if I'd rather have a refund and find someone else, he would understand.  I should have known then that he had no intention of doing my job.  To me it was one excuse after another with no action.  This provider has other employees per other reviews, so, there are people to do the work.  Since his offer to understand if I wanted someone else to do the work, I've not heard one word from him.  It is now June 10, 2014; two and half months since last contact.  The coupon expired in May.  The way this person operates is unprofessional and not for the benefit of his customers.  If you have a good experience, I would say it is only because you are having a big enough job that he feels it's worth his time to get to you.  Otherwise, good luck!

    Massey Tuckpointing & Masonry
From the initial phone contact, to the quotation, to the actual job, Massey is excellent to deal with.  The quote (one of three that I got) was  the mid priced one.  It was delivered in a professional handout that gave information about the company, the job they were going to do and the materials that would be used.  On the scheduled day, the crew introduced themselves, erected a 40' scaffold and undertook the job.  They were professional and very clean.  When they left in the evening, they let me know and they completed the job on the second day.  This was my first use of Angie's List.  I came away very pleased with the list and with Massey.  I would recommend both.
