I called at 10:00 am and was told to come in at 11:30 am. 1:00 and i was still not called back. I would understand if the appointment was made in advanced that things come up, however, this was made same day and i should have at least had someone come out and reschedule with me or tell me to come back. I was missing work because of this. Very rude.

This used to be a good practice when it was smaller. Now it is too large to handle all the appointments. I was told to arrive early to fill out paperwork, and when I arrived I was then told that normally doctor runs 30 minutes late! So why was I encouraged to arrive early? Their time is valuable to them; our time is not. But it gets worse. Next I was told that the doctor was now running an hour behind because his partner was out and he was handling two sets of appointments. I would need to either wait, which I couldn't, or re-schedule. Well, why didn't they call me and tell me of the situation. I wasted an hour of my time traveling, waiting, returning, and now I have to go back again and deal with this goofed up place all over again. Once again, their time is valuable to them; our time is not. Find a different medical group that knows how to schedule appointments.

The first appointment went quite well. I was seen within a few minutes of my appointment. A nurse explained what would happen during the appointment (records review, blood pressure, temperature, one blood test, madditional screening if the need arose (it didn't). All went well and I left. The office gave me a voucher for the parking garage.

The day of surgery, I was processed in efficiently. The only problem was that I was required to prepay for the surgery, and although this was he second attempt (the credit card processor was down the day of my screening), I was told to wait for the bill. Not a problem (yet). When my time came, I was escorted to a pre-surgery bed. All of the medical personnel introduced themselves, explained what was going to happen, answered my questions, and were efficient. I met most of the surgical team before the operation. The operation went well and I remained overnight for observation. The nursing staff was efficient, answered my questions, and met all of my needs.

You can get into them very easily. They're good on availability. Effectiveness of treatment is "F" and that killed me. That's how I ended up at Mercy (00:17:05 inaudible) because they gave me medicine that (00:17:13 inaudible) but I probably would not do well and they didn't listen to me so I just thought killed me (00:17:55 inaudible). They know they probably killed me. I don't understand the billing is so confusing in a hospital like that (00:18;18 inaudible) but I'm no going to pay them. I don't know what you should have to do, you would have to make me unconscious before I would go back there.

Dr. Meek didn't have an appointment open for three weeks, so I asked if a staff member could call me to see if there was anything they could do.  Unexpectedly, Dr Meek.  After talking to me, he fit me in the next morning for the shot.  I am already feeling better and am very grateful that he did that for me.

After our initial evaluation, we set up 3 appointments so that we could "interview" caregivers. Either Chrissy or Sally accompanied the candidate to the appointment. We were able to interview and interact with the person. Chrissy and/or Sally contacted us to get our thoughts about the meeting. We ended up choosing one person for the lead caregiver and the other 2 will be on the backup team.  My mom is very comfortable with her decision.  The caregiver "clocks in and out" by calling from the home phone. The hours/days are flexible to meet our needs. We are very happy with every aspect of Assistance Home Care, from the initial meeting with Sarah and Chrissy to the assistance given by the caregiver. They make a very difficult decision much easier for all involved.

Appt. was not good.  Upon arrival, office check in staff made a remark to me "You seem frazzled."   Later time spent with dr. consisted of rude remark  "If you lost 1 lb, you would take 6 lbs. of pressure off of your knee."  I am not obese and felt the comment was not necessary.  Dr Spezia. talked quickly, was not compassionate and used a lot of terminology that was not easy to comprehend.  I understand that dr. needed to talk into recorder for transcription purposes, but I was totally with no background knowledge of this type of problem so I really wanted "common man" language to help me understand the problem with my knee.

Upon leaving, I asked front desk staff about where surgery is done.  Their short reply was "It depends on who does it."  Obviously, but they gave me no list of places for the dr. I used.

I would not recommend this dr. or return to him for care.

I had just been diagnosed with spinal stenosis via an MRI and went to Dr. Meek on my own, as I was familiar with the practice. I saw him for 4 visits; one for discussion of my condition and possible treatments and 3 for injections into both sides of my lumbar area. I was very satisfied with Dr. Meek. I asked many questions which were fully answered and he also showed me my MRI results and explained them. I was afraid of the injections, but his technique was so good that they were not painful. He explained everything that he was doing and continually checked to see that I was OK. He was cautious and compassionate. I am no longer in pain and will definitely return if needed. I do know that these doctors have to be very wary, as they are sought out by people who just want pain medication and are sometimes addicts. I took the pain medication my primary care doctor had prescribed with me to the appointment and was up front about it. He seemed to appreciate this. I was referred for physical therapy which is important in treating back pain. I did see that he would prefer pain meds be used sparingly and that other therapies and lifestyle changes be tried first or at least in addition to medication.

My visit this time was for recurring knee pain. They did x-rays to rule any new injury, then fully evaluated my strength and range of motion to determine that my pain was primarily from weak hips muscles. I was provided with exercises to do at home for a month. I am to return in 4 weeks for a recheck and if not better, will go on to the next step.

Dr. Larkin is wonderful. His bedside manner always brightens my day and he is extremely knowledgeable. On a previous visit I had injections into both knees and his technique was the best I've experienced.

My wife goes to him too. We have gone to him for 10 years since my doctor retired, and we have other friends who go to him too. He is quite good, knowledgeable, and thorough, he is friendly. He is fairly busy, and we just like him. We are very happy with him, and we will keep him for as long as he keeps us. He is pretty available, and since we are patients it is easy. They are pretty responsive, and if you have to cancel, they will try and find a cancellation for your appointment. The office environment is good. I know the nurse there, she knows me, she is very good. The staff is pretty friendly.
