AUnlimited Handiworks LLCIf an "A+" was an option, I'd have selected it. Erskine and his team did a tremendous job through each phase; demo, flooring, cabinet assembly, and finish work. Whenever there were unexpected challenges that arose, Erskine was quick and calm about communicating the issue and brainstorming possible solutions. He showed his expertise in so many ways, and he also took time to listen to our goals and vision for the project. It was clear, that making us happy with the final result was the ultimate goal for Erskine. And it's refreshing to see someone who enjoys their work as much as he does. Can't say enough about the integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail. I'm looking for other projects around the house to work with Erskine in the future!- Doug S.

AUnlimited Handiworks LLCErskine Horton, the main man behind Unlimited Handiworks, did an excellent job. The house he had to work with was a Wick Home built in 1979 (meaning nothing in the house is "standard"), so the task wasn't without its problems but nothing Mr. Horton couldn't fix. The kitchen cabinets posed the biggest challenge since they were constructed unit-by-unit by Klervue, shipped in boxes with instructions on how to put them together. This type of cabinets was a first for Mr. Horton and he did a great job piecing them together. Mr. Horton was easy to work with, helped us in choosing the products for the buck, and made suggestions on how best to accomplish what we wanted the house to look like. He works best without over-the-shoulder monitoring but is open to suggestions or ideas and does like feedback on his work. We look forward to seeing what he does with the bathroom which will be thoroughly remodeled as well. Mr. Horton was always upbeat and ready to tackle whatever was scheduled for the day; he also has a great positive attitude. I've included before and after pictures of the kitchen (sorry they're not real good); pics of the rest of the house will have to come later.- Dianne R.

AUnlimited Handiworks LLCErskin is very reliable and true to his estimate. He came out one day to discuss what I wanted and then priced each part and told me where I could go to get it. I gotthe tub and flooring and Erskin got the materials like drywall and lumber to complete the job. He took my vision and made it happen. He told me how long it would take to complete the work and he stuck to that time table. Erskin had to take out a jetted tub and then reframe and add drywall to the area to accomadate a new walk in shower.- Judi B.

AI would gladly recommend Organic Family Solutions for Interior Painting, which is what they did for my home in Springfield. I was in the process of selling my house so I wanted to have the work done as soon as possible. The estimator was able to come sooner than originally scheduled, which helped my tight schedule. She answered all of my questions and made suggestions where needed. She called a couple of days after I accepted their price to let me know that her crew was scheduled to start my job one week sooner. I was grateful that she was looking out for my interests, too. When the crew arrived to start the job (on a Saturday, no less) they covered everything – furniture, fixtures, and the hardwood floors. I needed different work done in different rooms, and the crew leader walked through each room with me to be sure that they knew what needed to be done. The living room and one of the bedrooms had dark green walls and another bedroom had deep royal blue walls; those rooms are now the Natural Beige color I chose. You would never know what the previous colors had been. The trim and edging work was neat and there are no roller marks on the walls or ceilings. The same four men worked on my job. Not all of them worked on the same days, but there were always at least two men on-site every day until the job was finished. They finished early, too. The last half-day that they worked was for my punchlist items (which was a short list) and to finish the final clean-up. They rehung my curtain rods for me, as well, which I didn’t expect them to do. Overall, the estimator and crew were professional, courteous, and friendly, and they did high-quality work. I would definitely hire this company again.

AThey did a good job; I would hire them again. I received 3 bids on the job, and Gold Seal was the cheapest. I know, "you get what you pay for" but there are lots of things to fix in this house so I have to stretch the budget. They responded immediately to my request for bid, had someone out right away for the estimate, and kept following up until we were able to agree on a date. They convinced me the quality of paint they selected was just fine, and it was. They did everything as agreed, and it turned out great. I also appreciate they took the job, as I know it wasn't the biggest job around.

ARandolph Development (D&D Cabinetry) were perhaps the best part of our entire new home construction. Dan and Danielle Randolph were able to see the vision that we had for our home and they gave creative input that made for a very unique set of custom cabinets! They operate with the utmost attention to detail--we are so pleased with the work they've done for us! Not only did they build the cabinets that we wanted, they also took on some "unfinished" projects that we needed for our new home--fixing a set of antique corbels that we wanted to use on our covered back porch, they also converted an antique fireplace mantel into a beautiful built-in book case that is in the center of our home. We have enjoyed every moment of our involvement with this company...so much so, that we have added a few more jobs to their work list! FIn April/May 2019, I contracted with Neese's Painting (also doing business as RNC Painting) to power wash and paint my deck in Columbia, Missouri. At the time, I advised the Neeses that the deck had to be completed because I was selling my house in early 2020 following an anticipated move to Australia. I needed the deck to be repainted so that all would be in good shape to present to potential buyers. My contract indicated that work would begin in August 2019. I paid the entire amount (approximately $850 in advance). In September 2019, I began reminding the Neeses that they needed to do the painting before the leaves dropped and certainly before the frosts began. The Neeses had a range of reasons why they couldn't paint the deck, and the those excuses carried on into the winter months, when they of course could not paint because of the weather. I was in constant contact with them prior to the date the house sold (May 2020), and although they promised to come do the work on several occasions, they never did so. I told them well before the date that the house sold that they would need to issue a refund if they did not complete the work, and they agreed that would be appropriate. Again, however, they failed to follow through. My last contact with them, an email dated May 28, 2020, indicated that they wanted to repay the amount due in two installments, one to be paid at the end of June 2020 and the other to be paid at the end of July 2020. It is now August 2020, and the first installment has not been received and the Neeses are not returning my messages. I do not recommend that you use this provider.

FNever got done. He walked away with $6,200 of our money that was paid as a down payment for the work after signing an agreement. Found out by checking that what he said he was putting in the bathroom wasn't as described in his personal in-home sales discussion. When confronted and we asked to cancel the agreement, he went to ground and never tried to contact us. We recontacted him and thought we had everything worked out, but then after our having to contact him, found out that the agreed upon start date was not going to happen. We stated we wanted to cancel the contract and demanded a refund. He went to ground again and never contacted us or responded to our request.
