  • As soon as I arrived I told them I was asthmatic and having trouble breathing. They made sure I had insurance, then I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes. One woman who arrived after I did with a sore ankle was shown right in. At that point I got up and left to go to the emergency room.

Maybe this was a vocabulary issue: I go to an URGENT care center when I need assistance URGENTLY; but perhaps they define urgency differently.

I alos didn't appreciate the TV tuned to some celeb gossip channel blaring at top volume. Is that supposed to make people feel better?

  • .St Mary's is close to where I stay and needed to go somewhere I could walk up to, because the driveway was a solid sheet of ice and I was afraid to drive. They were very nice to me. The x-ray department was also nice and kind to me. I did not think that the Doctor deserved $1400. I know that if had the insurance it would come down by $300. I know that because I used to have insurance. I told them that I don't have the money or the insurance and they told me that the nuns demand that they see everybody. They hassled me even after I told them that. When I got there I told them what my income was, that I don't have the money or the insurance. I don't typically like St. Mary's.

  • Her bed side manner is exceptional. She is very caring and she is exceptionally knowledgeable for a nurse practitioner. She teaches in seminars for doctors around the country on hematology. She is very caring and remembers everything you tell her. You can?t get a message from the doctor or the nurse practitioner without prior appointment. Her availability is kind of low but her bedside manner is great.

  • Having gastrointestinal pain, I attempted to visit a walk in clinic, who sent me to an urgent care, who then sent me to the emergency room. I checked in with the front desk, and they were fairly friendly. When I was filling out basic paperwork, my blood was drawn, and the nurse who was doing my testing announced he was going on lunch break in the middle of my tests, and someone else finished the procedure. I was admitted at around 4:30 pm. I didn't see a doctor until 12:30 am. People around me were waiting just as long as I was, and some of them were clearly in a much more critical state than I. I saw a man who seemed mentally challenged a gurney from a nearby hallway to sleep on, and no security guard was around to stop him. I almost left several times, but the front desk associate assured me that the wait wouldn't be much longer - but it was. 9 hours in total. When I actually made it in to see the doctor, I was physically and emotionally exhausted, and hadn't eaten in 12 hours. When I finally did see a physician, he was great. He explained to me the cause of all of my symptoms in a very professional and technical manner. The treatment he prescribed worked very well and it was a relief to be finally taken care of. The billing process was also messy. I was sent multiple bills from multiple departments of the hospital, some of which were duplicates. It took almost 3 months for all of the billing to be sorted out. I will never go back to this hospital again.

  • They are very busy. They hussle to get you your prescriptions. It's a popular pharmacy. You can use their automated line to call in a prescription. They have never made any mistakes on my prescriptions.

  • My experience with them was fine and I usually don't have any problems. They are always nice. They used to have a really long wait time but they've worked to better that. It's not quite as long now. I do like their phone system where I can order refills over the phone. I like that because it is convenient.

  • I had a very long labor and wasn't admitted until my third trip to the hospital. I had some unpleasant nurses in the triage area, but most of the nurses later were good, except one overnight who insisted on trying a pacifier, and then that my baby was "starving" and we had to give her formula to get her to stop crying (both against my birth plan)... I was exhausted and gave in... Otherwise, staff was very respectful of my birth plan, but I had zero support with labor. Beds are terrible (at least in the postpartum rooms, can't remember before that)... air mattresses with a pump that makes noise every time you move. The food was inedible except for sandwiches and prepackaged food... even the toast was horrible, and I was starving. The day after delivery I had a constant parade of staff in my room, often lined up at the door, including a student nurse that was in there every 30 minutes asking me ridiculous questions and trying to take my vitals. (I know they need to learn but my labor was 65 hours and I needed my rest).

  • I like that they make their mission prominent in the hospital. The staff is great there also.

  • They did a great job, the staff is always friendly. It is a very clean environment, it has been newly remodeled and is beautiful.
