  • We tried to negotiate with Charter before we cancelled our service.  We had been customers for over ten years.   We kept our tv and internet bills on separate accounts so my husband could expense his internet to his company.   Charter refused to negotiate a better rate, consistently raised the cable rate each year, and once we decided to cancel the cable, but keep the internet, they raised our internet rate by $10 a month - even though they were two separate accounts.  Was this a "punishment" to us? In any case, it certainly isn't good customer service and we will NEVER use Charter for cable again and will discourage anyone that asks us about it.  They are more concerned about their money than keeping loyal long-term customers!

  • I hate AT&T U-verse Saint Louis's satellite television. I am getting ready to switch back to DirectTV. I have used them for a little under a year. I don't like that I can't have a favorites list and am not able to pull up a directory of the stations I like the best. I don't like the fact that if I change the station I can't rewind and catch up unless I am recording it, where with DirectTV I can rewind 60-90 minutes and catch up on a program I had not been watching. The billing sucks too.  It is really hard to break down what I am exactly paying for. The bundle deal is probably less than what I would pay for it individually, but I don't think it is that great of deal and frankly it is so confusing I don't know what I am paying for. The only reason I still have it is because it is a pain in the butt to change services. They give you a several hour window for installation in which they will show up, so it is like you have to give up half your day. It seemed like the guy knew what he was doing, but really he was condescending. Once I get up the nerve to spend a few hours on the phone to change services I will never go back to them.
