Home Energy Audit reviews in Raytown

Excellent work and fantastic people to work with. The price is reasonable and will ultimately pay for itself in lower utilities. The owner is very knowledgeable and helps you through each step; from the inspection, installation of the insulation and they even submit all the paperwork required for the rebates. They are very courteous, prompt and after the work is completed, they make sure everything is cleaned up. The energy audit performed before and after the insulation is installed, gives you an idea as to how much difference the new insulation has already made. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

This Energy Audit was done in conjunction with our decision to replace our 85 year old leaky iron casement windows with Energy Star rated double pane windows that we purchased from Morning Star Windows and Siding in Raytown. Several days after the examination, we received a written Home Energy Audit Report indicating any problems and offering suggestions as to fixing them. Also included was a list of Incentives, Rebates & Credits from energy companies and suggestions as to local contractors that could perform any attic insulation that may need to be done.We were very happy with this service

Rob Pender and his team did a great job and he is obviously passionate about his profession, I like it when people enjoy what they do. The team showed up on time and the price came in as estimated. Everyone should have the energy weatherization package done before insulating your home. I have already handed out 3 business cards to people looking for insulation, told them you got to talk with Rob and also get the weatherization done at the same time. Rob was very thorough in his initial explanation, and I appreciated the information and attention to detail. The also walked me through after it was completed and  pointed out everything they did, I can't believe my attic can hold that much insulation.  Thanks Rob and thanks Anigie's List for making my first (of now many) Angie's List experience a great one. (and no I didn't get paid to enter this :-) (note, the price I listed above was overall price not out of pocket , I also received my Angie's List deal, and also a combined $1,200 rebate from MGE/KCPL).   and now I look forward to a more comfortable home, and some savings on my energy bills - yeah!
    A very satisfied home owner,
    sincerely, Dean Barker

They were on time and very professional. They did everything they promised to do ... and then some!  I was very pleased with their work and clean up as well. They worked on the house for a solid ten hours. Very thorough job. I will highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

The company was prompt in scheduling my initial home visit and energy audit. Upon completion of the 2-3 hour audit on Novermber 20th, 2012 I was told that it would be 4-6 weeks before I received my energy report.
Eight weeks later I emailed the company to question if my report was ready yet. No response.
I emailed the company a second time several days later and got a response from the owner that the report was ready, and that the company had been out of town on training. Understandable. The owner offered to refund part of my purchase, but I stated that I only paid $100 (which is a great deal) so I did not expect him to give me any sort of refund. I thanked him but declined the refund.
I completed the desired upgrades to my home and emailed the owner on Novermber 4th, 2013 to schedule my final home energy audit so that we could discuss which rebates I qualified for. The owner replied promptly and suggested a date that I would not be available on. I replied immediately and asked for a different date. I got no response, and still have not got a reply since.
I have sent dozens of emails, voicemails, and phone calls over the last 8 weeks. I have gotten no reply or acknowledgement whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable! I have the owner several threats via voicemail and email stating that I was going to proceed with leaving negative feedback here as well as filing a case with the Better Business Bureau.
I feel completely ripped off. I cannot afford another audit, and was relying on the rebates I should have gotten to help pay the bills since I spent so much money last year making improvements to my home and purchasing all new appliances. I hate to leave such a negative review, but I'm at a loss for what to do and I hope no one else has to go through this. If the owner were to contact me and resolve the issue I would happily change my review and rating, because the first half of my experience was decent.

Dan first came to our home a couple of months ago for the initial energy audit. He spent an hour or so taking thermal pictures of our home, inspecting certain areas and running a blower door test. (He has a machine he hooks up to the front door that depressurizes the home and shows where leaks are occurring.) We found him to be very knowledgeable and as Dave Ramsey would say, he has the heart of a teacher. He encouraged us to ask questions as he went throughout the house and was not at all bothered by us following him around to see what he was doing. (I was interested in the process and trying to learn what things to look out for.)
A month or so later we received very through reports via e-mail about the suggested improvements for our home. We then scheduled a follow up visit for our air sealing package. He was here a little under three hours for that and was again very open and willing to answer questions and talk things through with us. We have an older home that was not very well insulated and he was able to increase our efficiency 46% in the time he was here with simple improvements. He patiently answered each of my questions about the other suggested work, explaining what it entailed and what level of importance he would assign it.
We will be hiring him again to complete a few more items on the improvement list and would definitely recommend him.

Overall okay.  My impression of this company is that the auditor is over extended, by not keeping to timelines that are promised, not being thorough in reports and follow up. So far I have felt that I have not gotten my monies worth of service.  Expertise and knowledge is there, but reliable is spottie.

Hired Hayes to conduct an energy audit as part of KCP&L's efficiency program. As part of this service, the inspector noticed a couple of potentially serious problems with our furnance and flue. After the inspection, the inspector came back twice to help us make sure we adequately fixed the problems. Way above and beyond! Hayes installed insulation in our attic and sealed all attic penetrations. Excellent value, excellent quality service. I would use them without hesitation and recommend without reservation.
