    Renewing the Home Services
The overall result is better than we expected. Webster was the person responsible for our overall job and he was excellent. He was dedicated to making sure everything was done well and made sure things were repaired beyond the original estimate. Our home is 50 years old, so there were some repairs that were unforeseen. Both bathrooms were gutted and wood rot was found and replaced in the master bath. We love our new, larger master bathroom shower. Thanks to Shay for helping with picking out our tile and vanities. We would recommend their services.

    REPAIRS UNLIMITED
From the start, Arron Widhalm was extremely attentive to our desperate situation and took an unpleasant situation and made it as easy for us as it could possibly get. We would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them highly.

    Renewing the Home Services
Overall we were not impressed with the quality of the work. Our 3-4 week job took nine weeks to complete. Most of our job involved tile work which they were not good at. The first person they had working on the job was real slow and had difficulty with the vertical tiles on the shower wall. The replacement person was slightly better but the overall tile work is still not good. Some of the cut tiles were either cut using a dull blade or without a tile saw because the edges are chipped. The tiles are not all flush with each other on the vertical runs or even on the flat surfaces of the bathroom floor. The grout lines are not all the same spacing, especially where the tiles have been cut. The biggest issue we have with everything is the flooring of the shower. We have a pebble flooring and some of the pebbles have already popped out. In addition, the grout they used must have something wrong with it. The gray grout has turned an ugly orange/brown color that can't be cleaned, and where the water runs to the drain is causing troughs in the grout causing little river beds to form. When they left, the shower drain was not draining properly. I got my shop vacuum out and cleaned out the drain. They had left various junk down the drain from their job (pebbles from the shower floor, lots of little pieces of grout, and even a bottle cap off the sealant they put on). I believe they did a good job with the plumbing. We had a dual head shower converted to a single head shower with body jets that seems to be working well. We are happy with the vanity and granite top they installed (even though this is work they subcontracted). We did have to buy and install our own hardware for the vanity and the pegs for the shelving.

    Jim Saner's Home Remodeling LLC
We couldn't be more pleased with how our basement turned out. From the first day we met with Tom to share our vision until the last day the crew was at the house, the entire experience was fantastic. Tom was very attentive and listened to what we wanted, what our concerns were, etc. He always had helpful suggestions, but never tried to push us in a certain direction. The crew was equally as great to work with. Robert, Chuck, and Steve are great guys. They were at the house first thing in the morning and never hesitated to explain to us what they would be working on, if they needed anything from us, etc. The end result of the project far exceeded our expectations. The work they did was spot on and looks great. When I need future renovation/remodeling projects done I won't even consider using anyone else. I would highly recommend Jim Saner's Home Remodeling, you won't be disappointed.

    Flawless Floors Custom Tile
Company is extremely busy with projects due to their quality of work. After having several bids, we were most impressed by the owner's (Derrick) professionalism and thoroughness with big/small details. Our project involved a bit of detail and special considerations (moving glass wall) that Flawless Floors handled very well. When we had followup items about carpet tacking/toilet seating they were addressed quickly and professionally. They are capable of dealing with the minor issues that arise and made our project much less stressful. I would highly recommend them for any tile/bathroom project.!

    Aldrich Contracting Co
I was impressed by Mr. Aldrich's knowledge and professionalism and discussed with him the possibility of hiring him for a major bathroom remodel in the future if things went well. I waited a week to get the bid and when it couldn't be emailed I waited to receive it in the mail. This bid was the second of two bids for the same project. The first bid was for the same work and was $3350. I was stunned when I saw the bid was for $9,769.43. Neither bid included tile which I was to purchase separately. I called Mr. Aldrich to discuss the bid thinking it might be in error. Initially I was told the project would take about five days which would be about $2000 a day for labor with materials which were largely limited to the cement board underlayment. When we spoke the project was now going to take two weeks to complete. This is for removing half a dozen shelves and removing and laying 154 SF of flooring. Almost $10,000 seems a bit much for the flooring for a closet. Its hard to imagine how this project could keep someone busy for two weeks. Needless to say I didn't hire Aldrich Construction. I don't like getting nuisance bids. I much prefer the integrity of a company that tells me that the project is too small and not suitable for the type of work they perform. I am disappointed because I was impressed with Mr. Aldrich's knowledge and would have liked to have worked with him on the complete bathroom remodel.

JS Kiely & Sons Construction Co
The end result is excellent. Chris and Mary Ellen provided some of the material and it was all top-notch. The job came in on budget. We were able to include our own design ideas in the project which was important to us. The schedule stretched out longer than we expected. Be prepared for that.

    ALENCO INC
I ran into a rep at a local box store and scheduled an appointment to have an estimate done for a full bathroom remodel. That scheduled day came and went with no one showing up to my house and no call to advise me. Two days later I called them to ask what happened and they informed me that they had the wrong date for my appointment (kept blaming a computer error) and asked if I would like to reschedule. I said that I would call back when I had a calendar with me to reschedule that appointment. I understand, mistakes happen ... The next day I received a phone call from another rep asking what I was looking to have done in my remodel so they could bring over proper materials. I informed him that I had cancelled that appointment because they missed my scheduled appointment. This rep, Frank, was pushy and kept trying to get me to allow them to still come out on a date that I couldn't be here for. Finally, two days later (the day they showed the appointment) the estimator called me asking what I was looking to have done so he could bring materials with him when he showed up this afternoon! I again informed this THIRD person that the appointment was cancelled! Two things that bother me with the way this company has been run (in my view) .... It appears that no one communicates with each other in this company. To be called by 3 different people about an appointment that was cancelled AND placed on the wrong day! I know some may say that I got the date wrong, but I would never have scheduled this appointment at a time when my kids are off school. Lastly, when speaking with the rep for the initial consult, the pressure had already started. He didn't like that fact that my wife would not be present at the estimate and he continued to press the issue that she should be present for the estimate. All I wanted was an estimate but I will not do business with a company that can't communicate with each other!

    Renovation Pros
Chad came for an estimate on a kitchen renovation. He was very personable, professional and very helpful. I signed on with Chad to do the work.  Chad and his crew came in to start the work. They were a pleasure to work with from beginning to the end.
The cabinets were all refaced, new drawers and doors were built, and all hinges were replaced with soft close hinges. They are great. A custom built island was built, with trash bin, pot and pan drawers and a spice rack. The island replaced a very tall one with not much function. The new island is amazing. If you are thinking about pot and drawers, do it. They are so nice. My whole set
of pots and lids fit in one drawer. So much easier to use than a normal cabinet.
The cabinets were all painted white. Love the white. New granite was installed, along with a stainless undermount sink, and new faucet.  Backsplash was replaced with new glass tile. Under cabinet LED lighting was installed. They are wonderful. New outlets and switches and new lighting over island were installed. I also had Chad's tile man replace the tile on my fireplace.
I think the whole thing looks amazing. Looks and also functionality are so improved. I can't say enough about the great craftsmanship. They project went great from beginning to finish. I would give Chad and his crew a higher than A+ rating if I could. I would without a doubt use Chad and his crew again Thank You Chad for my AMAZING new kitchen.
