    It went great, James found the flame sensor was dirty and most likely causing the no flame issue. Cycled the furnace several times until he was satisfied it was OK. Cost of this sercice qas 0.00 I do have them kn an annual service qhich in the long run is beneficial in case of a failure as well as inclusive of two services.

    We came home this past Sunday to house that was 85 degrees and truly unbearable to live in. Buckner's quickly had a technician out to us to confirm to us what we were expecting - the A/C was broke beyond repair. The technician quickly got us in touch with Steve who was at our door within an hour of his technician leaving and quickly performed his inspection to quote us a new Trane. We weren't prepared to replace the Lennox furnace yet, but that's ok, he said he could adapt the Trane to the Lennox air handler and furnace. The team arrived promptly this morning and were two of the most professional installers in the industry. Each time I would step in to see how they were progressing they took the time to show me exactly what they were doing and the best practices to be followed for best maintenance. Within 45 minutes of the new Trane being turned on the temperature has dropped in this fairly large home by almost ten degrees and continues to drop

Valerie was courteous, knowledgable, and thorough. She patiently worked with is setting a new schedule on our NEST thermostat (not an easy task with these two old folks!).     We are not going to use them, it was just too expensive. They are the ones that originally put in our heating and air conditioning, but we wanted it at a different house. They said they charged twice as much for having to go into the attic to do it. So that made it too expensive. I think they just didn't want to do it. It's more work to have to go into an attic. I would still use these people on my house, because I don't have mine in the attic. They have always done a good job on the work they have done for me.

    Called this morning and was able to have service between 3pm-5pm. Jesse called about 2pm to see if we move the appointment up, which we did. Jesse advised of the price of the part and was very helpful in advising on options for my old heating unit. Diagnostics and repair took about 30 minutes. I recommend this company and will definitely be using R-Mech again.

    My advice to anyone considering Bob Hamilton: Consider other options before settling on Bob Hamilton. This review is long because I have been a customer of Bob Hamilton for almost 9 years now, and I want to be fair both in what they've done right and why I now believe there are better options. In the past, I purchased a heat pump from them, and I was generally happy with it, so I continued to use them. When I sold my old house last year, it turned out there was a gas leak, and Bob Hamilton stepped in with a solution and fixed the problem quickly so I could get my house sold. It cost a lot, likely more than it should have, but I was in a position where it needed to get done fast, and I will say they came through in that regard. Last summer, though, the a/c in my new house failed. I received several bids, including from Bob Hamilton. Bob Hamilton was the highest of all, but I knew and trusted the sales person from previous experience. He really sold me on the highest end unit, saying that the energy savings would ultimately be worth it and it would keep the house extremely cold. To be fair, he gave me other options too, but he really pressed me on the highest priced option, which was several thousand dollars more than the next option. I know that's probably to be expected, but again, I knew this sales person. After the a/c was installed, it obviously worked better than the 20 year old unit it replaced, but it did not keep the house ice cold. In fact, it still struggled to even maintain the set temperature during the afternoon. (I was keeping it around 78 degrees, and the living room would still slip above that.) I contacted the sales person and he did come back out with a group of people to see what could be done. They spent a couple hours checking everything out, which I appreciated, but ultimately they said everything was working fine, and that this was just how it was going to perform. I was told because of the location of the air conditioning unit, this was likely the best it could do. The sales person told me that, given the high ceilings in my house and the square footage, I probably should have had 2 units installed. However, none of these things were explained to me in the buying process or before the unit was installed. So, in the end, I learned that the benefits of my higher priced unit were pretty much negated, and I would have probably been just as well off going with one of the cheaper options. However, one of the things that had sold me on going with Bob Hamilton was that they threw in a service plan. Again, I was willing to pay a little extra knowing that they would fix the a/c over the next several years. Recently I received a call from Bob Hamilton asking if, as part of my service plan, I would like to schedule my yearly plumbing check up. I said sure, so we made an appointment for 8 a.m. on a Saturday. When Saturday came around, no one showed up. By 8:45 I had to call Bob Hamilton (which took two tries because no one answered the phone the first time). I was told that apparently they were too busy with other calls that day, and that no one would be able to come. When I asked why no one had contacted me, they said that someone should have, but they didn't know why I wasn't contacted. As far as I was concerned, this was the last straw. In the end, I'm stuck with Bob Hamilton for many years because of the service agreement and the money I spent. I'll deal with it. But you don't have to. Consider your other options, and realize that while Bob Hamilton does many things well, it is often extremely expensive and may not ultimately perform they way they sell it to you.

    The man came--without ANY authorization he added a bunch of parts and work that we have no idea if he really did anything or that we needed done. Then he presented us with a bill for over $400.00 and wanted paid RIGHT THEN! We refused to pay as we gave him no authority to do anything other than the check up we paid for. If we needed work done he should have come to us, explained what he thought we needed, then gotten a yes or no from us. They are crooks. He as much as admitted he tried to "con" us and "waived" the extra charges.

    Installation went well except one of the valves (Pic attached) had a slow drip and instead of replacing it they tried tightening it with a wrench which worked until they left and then it started dripping again. Can't imagine a new valve would cost more then $10 dollars and 10 minutes to install and after already paying $600 should have been included and replaced anyway . I have tightened it some more myself which has slowed it considerably. Overall thought it was a bit pricey for the actual amount of time spent installing the water heater.
