    Aznaurova, Dr. Lolitta E
I was a patient of Dr. Aznaurova for years and then out of the blue, in the middle of a medication change, her office called and dropped me. No warning, just called and literally told me that I was being dropped for missing an appointment that I had called and cancelled that morning. I was having serious vertigo that day from withdrawal of a medication and did not feel safe driving through rush hour traffic. She gave me one month's worth of medication, which is not adequate because it takes at least 2-3 months to get in to see another psychiatrist. Luckily, my primary care doctor would write it for me, though some primary doctors won't. I was given no indication that I was on "parole" for missing appointments. I think it is sad that someone who is supposed to be caring for a patient with psych issues can't be a little more understanding when my very diagnosis would explain a missed appointment. I was changing medications because the depression was back and making it hard for me to even leave my house. I always pay my bills on time and always return their phone calls. I have waited in their waiting room for up to one and a half hours past my appointed time and never raised a fuss. I worry for any patients that may be suicidal. I trusted her with my brain and I feel betrayed.

    Mosca, Dr. Jeanne
She is amazingly skilled and professional. We worked through psychotherapy and I was able to deal with some trauma from my early life.  My life has never been better and I give my work with her all the credit.  I really can not say enough about Dr. Mosca.

    Weiers, Dr. farrell
When we called for an appointment they were able to get us in very quickly compared to anyone else in the area. It was a series of several appointments that were needed and they had to reschedule us at least once, but I think twice. Regardless, I understand and it wasn't a problem. The final appointment was 9/10/14 and we were told it would be 2-4 weeks to get the results. We provided a list of the people that needed a copy of these results (schools, primary care physician, and psychiatrists, therapists). It is now 10/31/14, so it's been 7 weeks. We have called the office at least 6 times in the last 3 weeks asking for these results. The receptionist tells us she will pass the message on to Dr. Weiers. All that we've gotten is a letter that basically says they evaluated my kid and he has ADHD, and lists the tests performed. We have gotten no final report, and haven't even been able to get copies of the results minus the reports. I would be happy with just the results as I'm sure some of the other doctors would be able to intrepret something out of them and get some of the necessary information. We have attended 4 separate appointments that were scheduled based on that 2-4 week timeframe, been asked for those results, and had to tell them we don't have them. We have another appointment in a few days and I'm sure it'll be the same thing. It is very hard for other providers to decide what treatments my children need when they don't have those results. This has caused unnecessary delays and stress on our part, and my children are unable to get the best help they could be getting. The only thing we're told is that they'll and quot;pass on the messageand quot;. That's not very helpful. Very frustrated, with very little hope of resolve. Would never go back or suggest to anyone else.
**The day I wrote (but before it posted) this we received a phone call that the information was finally ready. So, the whole experience was frustrating, but we are getting the information.

    Shanklin, Dr. Chris A.
That's the nicest I could think of. Disheveled, unfocused and not insightful. Went for couples counseling and all she could say is "both of your points are valid." She did nothing to help us work towards resolution. Don't waste your time.

    Radom, Dr. Sandra
Scattered and seemed disinterested.  We went for marriage therapy and were looking for some insight.  I know psychologists are there to help us find answers, but I felt we were doing all the leading and connecting the dots.  We could have done it our the living room.

    Mosca, Dr. Jeanne
Dr. Mosca's approach is very professional but very helpful. She is caring but keeps a professional relationship so the therapy flows from the patient. She was wonderful in helping me share, express and feel emotions that I have buried and really start living my life as a whole person, not a person living for others.
I have been to many psychologists but my experience with Dr. Mosca changed, maybe even and quot;savedand quot;, my life.
Her use of psychotherapy made all the difference. Some issues (like mine) are not cognitive or behavior. Her skill made all the difference.

    Weiers, Dr. farrell
Her method of testing was very thorough, and we had several visits. Dr. Weiers kept me very well informed as to what she was doing and why. Because she has a child of her own who has ADHD, she was more empathetic to my views on medicine.

    Richard Torkelson MD
Dr. Torkelson was not willing to listen. He was very arrogant, condescending, and patronizing. My son had two thirty minutes seizures after his two month vaccinations when he was an infant. They had to administer Ativan in the emergency room to stop the second one. They admitted him to Children's Mercy. The admitting doctor and paramedic's told us not to give my son any vaccinations. Dr. Torkelson told us that it was not the vaccines it was just time that had caused the seizures. So we took Dr. Torkelson's advice and continued to get my son vaccinated. That caused me to almost lose my son. Dr. Torkelson was not willing to listen to me or take the time to read the ER report and learn that Ativan was administered. He came up with the conclusion that my son had very short seizures, because he would not listen. I would not take a sick dog to them for care. I have flown to other states to avoid having to bring my son back to him.
