    Concrete Design of KC, Inc.
The days they wanted to do the project we were on vacation so they started the project earlier so they could discuss the details at our house. We left for vacation the day they were pouring the concrete. The project leader made me feel at ease that we would return to an awesome new patio! He was right. They cleaned up everything and followed up when we returned to see if everything looked great. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. It is rare, in my opinion, to have a contractor with great skill/results and great customer service. I don't like leaving reviews and I am late giving this one, but I highly recommend them to someone else.

    A Handyman & A Greenthumb
This company was amazing from start to finish. They gave us an estimate roughly $2000 less than the other companies that came to look at the work. We were scheduled about 2 1/2 months after we accepted the bid. They showed up right on time. They took the time to explain every step and to keep us posted on the progress. They took great care of our property and cleaned up afterward. The driveway looks gorgeous. If I ever need concrete work again, I will definitely call Shane.

Shane who came out and did the bid was excellent to work with.  Was always available with answers to my questions and overall very responsive.  Jeff the owner who does the work was excellent and really knows what he is doing.  Always kept us in the loop as to what was going on and also moved very fast once the work began.  Also Jeff led the work everyday and really made sure everything was right which we really liked.  They did everything for us in about a week.  Everything looks fantastic and would definitely use them again.  I have already referred two people over to him.  Top notch company and people!

    Vantage Point Exteriors
Vantage Point Exteriors used subcontractors for all of the work. They did not do the driveway correctly as there was a french drain that did not work because it was installed improperly.  I had to have it torn out and redone by another provider that I had to pay an additional $7662.56.   They wrote the roofer a bad check for $4500 that bounced and then he came back saying I needed to give him more money to pay the roofer.   Which I refused as I had already paid Vantage Point Exteriors for the job, the roofing company did a great job though.  The siding guy had been given a $1,500 down payment but that was it so I paid him directly the additional $3,500 as he did a beautiful job.  If I had gone through Vantage Point Exteriors he would have charged me and additional $5,000 for the siding job.  After he bounced the check with the roofers I fired him.  He continued to contact me trying to get more money which I refused as I had fired him as he violated the contract we had signed.  I finally called the police as he was continuing to harass me for money that I did not owe him as he never delivered on everything I had already paid him for.  They have stolen money from me as I paid them for materials and work I never received.  I would not wish this experience on anyone and hope that this will warn others from using them and going through this.

    All About Concrete
I decided to call All About Concrete for a quote because of all the amazing reviews I found on Angie's List.  I am happy about the work he did, however there are a few things I was concerned with.  He agreed to match the price of another quote we had received for a complete tear out and rebuild of our front porch ($2,300) along with adding a one lane driveway to a building we have on our property ($1,600).  He was supposed to show up on Friday, October 17th first thing in the morning.  He never showed up, never called.  My husband called him around noon and left a voice mail, as he stayed home that day to oversee the projects that were to have been started that morning.  My husband never received a call back from Paul.  On Saturday, I decided to call myself because I was concerned and wanted to clarify that we were all on the same page.  I never heard back from him on Saturday.  Sunday evening I received a call from Paul at around 8:45pm.  He explained that he didn't show up because some of his guys decided to sleep in and he had his grandson that day.  Paul also told me that the reason he didn't call was because he had told my mother and father in law that he would start Friday, not me.  He didn't feel it was necessary to call to inform me.  I was bothered by it, but let it go because of the outstanding reviews I had read, I figured it was an honest mistake.
He let me know that he would be there first thing in the morning (Monday, October 20) to get the work started.
Paul and his crew showed up on time as arranged Monday morning.  After the steps of our front porch were taken out, he called my husband to let him know that the stones on our home were shaking due to the jack hammer and he would suggest pouring a slab over the existing slab, rather than taking out and rebuilding.  Paul dropped the price to $2,000 since he would no longer be doing the labor of jack hammering and tearing out a large porch.  I was concerned that the price for such a small job was too much, since he only dropped it by $300.  After talking with him, he kept the price the same because he has already price matched.
The projects were finished the evening of October 21st, with the molds being taken off the morning of the 22nd.  The front porch looks great along with the driveway.  My mother in law showed up at our home to pay the remaining balance and she wanted to get some clarifications for the price of $2,000 for the porch when it was no longer a tear out and rebuild.  Paul was not very accepting to her question and did nothing to help her understand the little price drop for the project.  We were in no way trying to offend him or his company, we just wanted to make sure we are getting a fair price since we were unable to get other quotes for the skim coating over our existing porch.
I am hoping this is just an isolated case of the company not receiving an "A" rating.  I completely understand that everyone has an off day and not all jobs go exactly as planned.  Paul's employees were very respectful and finished product looks great.

    All About Concrete
We had several vendors provide estimates for the job. Of all of them, Paul had by far the best price. He went above and beyond in customer service to make sure that the process went smoothly. He was kind enough to meet with our insurance adjuster to make sure that all of the appropriate damage was reimbursed. Despite some extra unexpected work (over 12 inches of asphalt), we were not charged a cent above the estimated price. Throughout the job, Paul and his crew were a pleasure to work with, very professional and courteous.
Paul's crew started promptly on tearing out the old driveway. After tearing out the old concrete, his crew was careful about making sure we had a path for us to be able to walk down the muddy driveway, which was very much appreciated. They all worked very quickly and efficiently, staying later than we expected in the evenings to ensure that the work was done in a timely manner. We couldn't be happier with our new driveway, it is such an improvement. Paul's experience in the industry allowed him to quickly identify what went wrong with our previous driveway, including insufficient control joints, not enough rebar, and no gravel, no drainage pipe, among others. He corrected all of these deficiencies and I am confident our driveway will last decades.
    And its pretty! Thanks, Paul!

    Big Red Decorative Concrete
They're wonderful. It was great. The floors are beautiful. They were very nice company to work with. I have nothing but praise for them. I just liked our first meeting with them. She was very knowledgeable and her husband does the work and he was very accommodating. They both took time to explain what to expect, what the process was going to be. I would use them again in the future.

Ron was very prompt & professional. He answered all my questions & provided new insight regarding options available for my home project. The crew showed up on time, performed the tear out and replacement & cleaned up property when they finished.
Concrete Design KC performed above my expectations and I recommend.

We asked Affordable Mudjacking to fill some areas under out front sidewalk and driveway that had been hollowed out by drainage and animals.  Tom quickly came out and gave us a reasonable quote, and they performed the work soon thereafter.  They were able to repair our sidewalk without drilling any holes, and they did a nice job of repairing the hole they had to drill for the driveway repair.  They did a nice job, and I would hire them again.

    P & V Masonry
They replaced the brick on the chimney. They put the cement cap back on. They pointed and tucked it. They replaced broken brick. The stairs had a crack in it, and they fix it. There was some mortar missing so they were able to replace the top row of brick and replace the mortar. And the two side walls the same thing; they replaced the damaged brick; pointed and tucked and sealed it. They were able to get me in earlier. They called me and asked to start the work the next day. I was happy with the work. The whole service took about an evening the first day and early morning the next day. A total of about one day. Very professional and knew what they were doing.
