Premier Home Design & Remodeling LLC
Joe and his team performed an amazing Kitchen Remodel. From start to finish. He prepared everything in a perfect layout so we knew exactly what we were getting and the time/cost/final product would be. Everything laid out made it easy for us. He kept in touch along the way and always updated us with any hiccups or needs. He was punctual and did his work professionally and with a big heart. Thankful for Joe and Premier.

    Clint's Handyman Service
I have known Clint for over 9 years and during that time the company has performed updates for several of my past clients. Being a realtor it is always nice to know a company that you trust to help my clients. I have not had any complaints from any of my clients in the past and I will always recommend Clint to any person that ask .

    Gildehaus Remoldeling (Daniel R. Gildehaus)
I hired Gildehaus Remodeling to finish our bathroom in our basement.  We agreed on a price of $2871.00 with a start date of 17 Mar 14 and a completion date of 21 Mar 14 and I would supply a majority of the materials minus the copper pipe for the shower, sink and toilet, a half dozen 2x4?s and couple pieces of sheet rock.  Dan Gildehaus told me the work on the bathroom would take two full days and two evenings to finish the drywall work.  I was fine with that arrangement because I took that whole week off from work so they could have access to our home anytime during the week.
On 17 Mar 14, Dan Gildehaus and his helper arrived on time and after some paperwork and me giving him $1400, they started to work on bathroom.  At first I was pleased with their work until the end of the first day when Dan told me that they would not be there the following day because they had other jobs to do.  I asked Dan Gildehaus if he would be done by the 21st and he ensured me that he would, so I wasn?t too upset about the setback.
Now this is where it starts to go downhill?..quickly.  I did not hear from Dan Gildehaus until 20 Mar 14 and that?s after I left him two messages.  Needless to say it took several more phone calls before he would come out to work and several evenings to include loss of an entire Saturday before it even looked like he was getting close to finnishing.  On 28 Mar 14, Dan Gilehaus told me he was almost finished with the bathroom and he would like the remaining balance of what I owed.  I told him no because he was not finished and we agreed on $1000 with the promise he would come back and finish the job (I know I should have learned my lesson, but I always hope people have integrity and will do the right thing).
Well today is 12 Apr 14 and he is still not finished with the job.  I contacted him on 3 Apr 14 and he related that he was sick all week and he would get in touch with me shortly.   He has my phone and email and I still haven?t heard from him (lesson learned now).
Let me tell you what $2400 dollars will get you from Gildehaus Remodeling. A shower floor that squeaks because he did not put thinset down like he said he was going to do, the water line for the toilet is not secured to the 2x4 and it moves freely inside the wall, sheet rock work that is not even close to being paint ready, clumps of mud on the walls in the closet and huge putty knife marks on the ceiling, light switches installed upside down, he did not clean the clumps of sheetrock mud off the floor like he said, he left pieces of sheetrock, nails and trash on my back porch, left a large black garbage bag full of garbage in the bathroom, he did not install the bathroom and closet doors or the chrome cover plates that go behind the shutoff valves for the toilet and sink water lines and to top it off he broke the mini blind on the basement door.
So hopefully the other Angie?s List readers will learn from my experience and NOT use Dan Gildehaus with Gildehaus Remodeling for any contracting needs.  Dan Gildehaus uses phone # 314-603-4768 and 636-390-8499, address 456 Cardinal Meadow, Washington, MO, 63090 and 1819 E 9th St, Washington, MO, 63090, website www.washingtonhomecontractor.com and email dangildehaus@gmail.com

    The Handy Hubby Inc
The contract was for small bathroom remodel.  I unfortunately paid before the work was done.  The work was not done to my satisfaction.  The tile floor was aptly completed. However, he broke the piping on sink during removal or replacement and expected me to pay for parts and labor.  The walls were painted two different colors, the wall paint also ended up on the ceiling and other walls that were not protected and not suppose to be painted! The the  switch plates were not removed prior to paint so you could see the underlying old paint.  The painting also was done over cracked paint with no attempt to sand down.
As to the closet framing, the wood was gouged by him and not repaired.
I  contacted him to review and explain these deficiencies  with no return call received.
I would not have expected to have to point out deficiencies to a professional who should take pride in his work product.
In addition this job was to be completed in one day, over a week later, this job was not done.
Needless to say, I would not recommend the The Handy Hubby!

I have recently sold my home and in preparation for the buyer inspections addressed some known deficiencies.  Over the past ten years I have utilized Frank's expertise for general carpentry, fence construction, electrical, plumbing, and a complete kitchen renovation.  The work is of the highest quality, the price always fair and the job done in a professional and timely matter.  Frank guarantee's everything he does and is so reliable I no longer bother with quotes from other providers.  I'm hoping to continue this association as I relocate to another area locally.

    Dunn Home Improvements LLC
Josh Dunn and his crew tore out the drab gray shower unit that was in the master bathroom and replaced it with a larger beautifully tiled shower.  The entire shower area is larger because the old shower insert took up so much room within the confines of the walls.  Tiling the walls gave the inside a lot of extra room.  He also made a tiled nook on one wall for the tall shampoo bottles.  And what?s just so cool is now I have a new waterproof can light over the shower.  The entire job took only 2-3 days.  I was able to continue to use the rest of the bathroom because before they left each day they cleaned where they had been working.  Very meticulous.  They were punctual, professionally dressed and knew what they were doing.  Whenever we have company I always show off my new shower!  Great Job Josh!

    1)      The patio took a couple of days to complete and is a beautiful new addition to my yard. 2)      The basement took several weeks to complete.  Lots of plastic was hung to control the dust.    Josh asked for my input and opinions as section by section was completed.  When the basement was complete it looked fantastic!  It looked so good that it made my main level seem drab. 3)      The bathrooms on the main level took about a couple of weeks to complete.  Lots of beautiful tile work.  Both of my bathrooms are beautiful. 4) The main level took about a month to complete.  He would work on one room at a time so he didn?t disrupt the whole house.  Now my entire home is brand new and looks fantastic.
Josh Dunn was always punctual.  He was professionally dressed and had all of the tools needed for the jobs that he performed.  His work is meticulous and he is very exacting in all that he did.
I've just spoken with Josh and he will be installing new electrical outlets inside of my garage and the outside soon.

Work was done over several weeks due to foul up by staff at the local home improvement store, where cabinet parts were not ordered and then back order sent in wrong color/style. The kitchen remodel overall was a huge success with the quality and workmanship evident in the final result. Frank is a patient listener and addressed all of my concerns during the construction phase presenting me with creative alternatives or options when confronted with unexpected challenges. While every project of this scope involves some dislocation and mess, Frank made every effort to minimize the chaos and discomfort. I use Frank exclusively for all my home improvement projects and have never been disappointed, I highly recommend his services.
