" We had a scheduled appointment for the estimate of 4:30pm. I was at home at 4:28pm waiting outside for the estimator. I called the office at 4:45pm to confirm if" the estimator was coming, and was advised the estimator arrived and left because no one was home. Upon reviewing security video footage the estimator had arrived at 4:09pm, well before the appointment time and left. The office advised I could reschedule because the estimator was no longer available. While the offer is nice it would require more schedule flexibility on my part and none on theirs. This is a precursor to service and sets a very bad
for what is to come and therefore I will not be using this company for work on my home. Also if the company responds that they called me twice to confirm the appointment and I did not call back, my feedback is that yes they did call me twice but the voice message was a reminder and the action was to call if I had any questions or wanted to reschedule. I did not have any questions nor did I want to reschedule my appointment therefore I did not call back. If a different response is expected then a different action request in the voicemail should be communicated.

" I called for gutter cleaning and setting up an appt was easy. It's so nice to actually get someone live and not talk to a machine. I was told that they'd" come within two weeks. A crew came in about a week and a half. They were quick, efficient, and did an excellent job on our really full, nasty gutters. We used
a few years back, and we'll definitely use them again.

Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet.  #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious.  Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia.  In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Unless you are constructing a French Drain (dry well filled with rock or debris and no exit) style system you use a non perforated system.  Cut the plastic flush on the angle where it daylights if the slope is great enough,  If you need it river rock can be used to construct a dry riverbed type drainage ditch out from the daylighted drain.

Short answer: It's up to you. Many home remodeling contractors, including exterior remodelers, don't expect a tip since they've already provided a set price within the contract, but if you really feel that they've gone above and beyond, you may feel obliged to tip them. Angie herself answered a very simliar question in a recent column: Should I tip my remodeling contractor?
?

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.

The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.

When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.

If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.

Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation.  This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.

Showed up on time and completed the work fairly quickly--it hasn't rained yet so it needs that test :-), but they definitely seem to have done a good job.

I purchased the $135 window washing deal. I payment was ACCEPTED.
Email received this deal SHOULD no longer be offered and they would not
honor the deal. I just checked (several weeks later and the DEAL is
still being advertised. Unacceptable. Requesting my $135 and don't plan
to do business with this firm.

VERY easy to get scheduled, very responsive and professional. Worker who performed the work actually found roof and gutter issues, but since he could tell both were fairly recent installs, he directed us back to the company that installed them. I appreciated the worker being honest that the "fixes" could be under the original installation warranty instead of trying to sell me additional products / services.
The company was very responsive, and sent me photos of the issues they found. Would not hesitate to use them again.

This was a $49 special offer purchase to have the windows cleaned in my house...in February. They asked (via email) for some suggested time/dates - I provided them three different dates in February. They never showed and never called or contacted me until yesterday. And they had the nerve to apologize for taking so long to contact because they were so busy. I understand the winter weather may have kept them from coming in February - so why not contact me then and tell me that --- or why even make the offer in February if you expect horrible winter weather? Makes no difference - I paid $49 and got nothing. In fact, I wanted to get a bid on a larger window job and have all of my 23 windows done (which would have been more than the original offer). This is so unprofessional and makes me think that they hold onto these Angies LIst "special" purchases and get to them when they can. I've reviewed them an "F" and I've pursued with Angie's LIst to get my refund. Horrible, horrible and unprofessional.

Two men arrived at 8:00 am. They got busy setting up to clean the gutters and cleaned them throughly. They removed the debris. Next they washed the house. They removed all dirt and mildew/mold. The house looks brand new again. Thank you so much.

The provider did not provide any services due to showing up an hour late.

The original agreement was my husband had asked him when the appointment was made to please call when he was on his way and to be at the location, 208
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Place in Danville, between 9:00am and 9:30am. The contractor agreed to these terms....More /> Mr.

was fired for the following reason.
My husband was at the location by 8:30am in case Mr.
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
arrived early and stayed there until 10am. Prior to leaving he called me at home to see if the contractor had called to say he was running late or had any other reason for running late and I told my husband that Mr.
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
had not called. So my husband came home about 10:05am. Mr.
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
called my husband from the location (208
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Place) at 10:18am and said he was there, my husband told him he was an hour late and had not called prior to leaving as previously agreed to, Mr.
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
just kept saying he was there, refusing to give a reason for being late. Finally out of frustration my husband told Mr.
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
he was fired.
What Mr.
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
said to my husband was a very
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
curse expression that begins with an "F" and you.
Had he given an explanation as to why he was so late such as he got lost, over slept, anything, except for just repeating "I'm here" chances are we would have not fired him as he previously had good reviews. However this time he didn't follow anything we had asked him to do.
When my husband initially called him he had wanted to come out the next day (thursday) but that wasn't possible for my husband as he needed to take my mother (85 years old) to her cardiologist, so he said friday was ok with him. So I do hope he doesn't use the day of the week as a reason for his behavior.
The ONLY reason for the "F" is due to the "F" you he gave us which shows his lack of professionalism after he was the one that was an hour late without reason.

From the time of contact,
Ozark Gutter Cleaners Provider Name Locked
was courteous and professional. A day and time were set and he confirmed the night before, then called when he was 20 minutes out. His courtesy continued with introduction and evaluation of the job to be done. Price was agreed upon and sealed with a handshake. He went immediately to work and did not stop for 4 hours. He pressure cleaned the gutters, roof, pool cage, inside and out. Also the concrete pool deck and patio. Performed a gentle pressure wash on the outside of the house, which did not remove the paint. He also cleaned the brick borders around plantings, and did not hurt the plants. Before he left he also pressured washed the drive way. At the conclusion of the work, he told me of some things he noted around the house that I might want to have seen to while they were still minor. None of those things were in the services that he provides and he did not offer in references for people to do the work, so I concluded that this was part of his professional handling of any job he does. This gentleman does excellent work and I highly recommend him.
