  • They skipped several huge portions of the yard and left a mess behind them. They promised to come back the next day to finish and have yet to show back up a month and a half later even with continual calls. They even tried to raise the price originally due to growth because they came a month after the day we agreed upon.

  • Kyle gave a very detailed report of the work that would be done. He diagnosed the problem with the oak tree and told us what our options were. He had to reschedule twice because of bad weather, but that was no problem. They got the job done in the amount of time he said it would take. They did a great job, removed a lot of dead wood that could have fallen on my house, and left no mess anywhere. The price was exactly as quoted $1,6xx. Initially, I thought it was high, but they had four guys working for 4 1/2 or 5 hours. They were unable to use a lift, because my house sits up on a terraced hill, pretty for off from the street, so they had to climb very high to remove the wood. Maybe I could have found a lower price, but I was so impressed with Kyle, that I didn't even look any further. I felt like they really cared about the safety of their men too, which was very important to me. I would highly recommend!

  • I went wonderful they showed up whenever they said they would and they got the job done 100% in a timely manner they cleaned up every single thing and make my yard look better than it did before they got here

  • I had ordered mulch from the Big Deal - and got to work on cleaning the area where the mulch was to be spread.  Unfortunately I didn't finish - but the guys were great about putting the mulch down where they could and leaving the rest for me to do.  There was a bit of a glitch regarding the heads up phone call prior to arrival, but no big deal.

  • Excellent job! Very professional work, Andrew was great, promptly came out reviewed the work involved, gave a reasonable proposal and worked within my budget. He then often came out during the job to ensure that the project is constantly monitored for quality. They have a professional crew led by Ben, who came out the first day tore out all of the old ty wall and steps. Following day dug a base wall and moved the base per my request to align with the edge of the house. They installed proper drainage and specifications as per the city code, then layout 8in block wall along with a set of block stairs and paver landing. Ben was a master with the block design around the perimeter and particular the layout of the stairs. Marcus, Steve and crew never stopped working and busted their tails despite that it was a very hot summer day. They kept the area clean each day and respected other property. They were all hard workers always pushing to complete the job to perfection. They did a beautiful job! I am somewhat particular and a little hard to please sometimes, but Ben and Andrew met all of my expectations. My son and I will really appreciate that wall for many years and we would recommend Cope Brothers Landscaping to all our family and friends.

  • I had to call the police because the person performing services threatened me and my family.  The annoying part is that Angieslist has been nagging me for a review when I'd prefer to not talk about it.  Let's just move on.

  • Better communication is needed: calls made/returned in a timely manner, as promised
Branches need to be cut down more carefully/professionally so that power lines/banisters/patios are not harmed
Bushes need to be trimmed by someone who understands directions and knows about such things
Clean-up needs to be done in a timely manner and more thoroughly

  • Schwartz Brothers was quick to contact me and schedule a time to come
out. Their team showed up on time and got the lawns taken care of. My
only complaint is that they ran over my 100' garden hose and punctured
it in a few places. I know that is my fault because I forgot about it, I
only wish they would have a least let me know what happened instead of
finding out about it yesterday when I was cleaning up my back yard for
winter. This is why I gave a B for professionalism, because the workers
didn't let me know what happened. Other than that they did a great job
    with the yard.

  • Pretty well.  They did the job.  I think we had a little bit of communication problem the first couple of weeks trying to get it all set up and missing each others calls and that kind of thing but it worked out alright.  I think what I did not like, I am not bilingual and could not understand dates and such on the phone.  The area they did looks okay but I was looking for it to be more detailed.  It looked like it had been done quickly.  I mean, it served the purpose.  I didn't even see them.  It was at a rental home that I have and we weren't able to make a date when we both could be available so he just showed up on a time that we both agreed on.

  • I recently moved into a new home and when I called M&P for an estimate to clear up all the overgrown weeds, and other work they pointed out I had poison ivy. I've never had to deal with yard work before and didn't even know what poison ivy looked like. Needless to a few days later I received a letter from the city stating I had been reported for overgrown weeds AND poison ivy and was ordered to clean it up right away. My yard has looks so much worse than when this company came out so if it was a neighbor I am sure they would have reported me long before. This was my first summer in the house and obviously I wanted to the job done, but was not capable myself. Apparently this company didn't want the job. I also did not receive the estimate from them until 1 day after the city deadline to remove everything was up. I have a large yard and understood there was A LOT of work to be done. The guy keep repeating over and over "we will need many trucks to haul off the debris". I should have known right then that he wasn't interested. So, I don't recommend this company. Why be in the landscape business if you don't want to accept a job.
