Drain Cleaning reviews in Maryland Heights

I called All Purpose about 7:30 that night and Roger immediately answered. We agreed that it wasn't an emergency since we had access to a working bathroom in the basement, and he said he'd be at my house between 9 and 9:30 am the next day (Sunday). He showed up, listened to everything that happened and got to work on the roof. Within 30 minutes had the drains flowing. and then took the time to help my wife clean out the bathroom sink drain, He was polite, efficient, obviously very knowledgeable, and a good conversationalist too. He charged me about one-half of what the other company was going to charge. I'll certainly keep his card and he'll be the first call for any plumbing/drain cleaning needs.

Jeremy did an excellent job of cleaning our lateral sewer line.  He was professional, punctual, and took the necessary time to make sure the job was done right.  I have tried several other drain cleaning services.  My experiences with other drain services have been bad.  I would get a quote over the phone for a price and it would be doubled when the job was complete.  A & J stuck to their quote and did a great job.  We received a $20 discount for being an Angie's list member which brought the price down from $155 to $135.  I have this problem with my sewer every year and will definitely call them again.  I also recommended them to family and friends.

We first used Aries Plumbing when we needed an emergency plumber to come out and fix a broken wax ring on a toilet.  Belinda was very kind on the phone and scheduled me for the next day. Mitch did a great job. Though it was a last minute appointment, and his truck broke down on the way back from going to get parts, he was still able to completely replace the toilet. Mitch went above and
would've by taking care of other minor plumbing issues I had saved up. He replaced a flapper in another toilet, cabled the shower drain, and gave an estimate and advice on two other shower faucet issues.  He spent time explaining things, and was very kind to me and my animals. I have since used them for a sewer clog and they came out the next day (I was not able to reach them for emergency service) and Tony did a fine job except I wish he would have covered up our belongings next to the drain with a tarp to avoid splatter. So far, Aries has been a good plumber for us and we will be using them again!

My drain was running slowly so I wanted them to check it out so they ruled out the pipe and actually there was a clog and they worked some more and unclogged it. When they were finished, everything was working fine. Alhough I am not sure if I will use them again in the future, I might try someone else.

I appreciate the fact this company offers emergency services as many of the others do not have this feature. I was given an approximate time and the plumber arrived within 10 minutes of this estimate. When the plumber arrived on Saturday, the first  thing he did  was assess  the situation, then quoted me a flat rate plus a 75.00 service charge. As he was writing up the ticket, I told him I had a coupon, which he said I could not use outside of normal business hours. NO WHERE on their coupon does it say this and it left me with a "bait and switch" impression. Before he left, he told me the company would waive the $75.00 service call fee AND I could use my coupon on Monday.

Although they were both responsive and timely on Saturday, I had a different experience the following Monday when they returned to finish. I was told I would hear from  the office manager between 8:00 and 8:30 on Monday morning and did not. In fact, I called their office around 10:30 after waiting all morning to hear from somone. Considering I had been without water in the kitchen for about 48 hours, this was disappointing. The drain specialist arrived shortly thereafter and determined he would need to come into the drain system from the roof and proceeded to do so. He was not able to retrieve the end piece of the snake but told me he was sure it was no longer in the pipes as he felt his auger hit something and push it through to the main pipe.

I was not given a new price or even an estimate for the drain specialist's work. When I asked him how much it would cost, he said the home office would have to tell me. Since I was asked to sign a work order for the work on Saturday, I was surprised to not be given any advance notice as to how much this additional work would cost; again, leaving me with a "bait and switch" impression.

After the work was completed, I found out my bill was going to be an additional $200 and I WOULD NOT be able to use the coupon. The company's response  when I questioned the bill was, "It cost a lot more because we had to come in through the roof and we waived the service fee,  which is a better deal than the coupon." There are 2  things wrong with this statement. One, their would have been no need for the Monday work if the plumber had known how to manage the job all the way through, and two, I would have saved a great deal of money if they had honored the 10% coupon, in addition to waiving the service fee.

While I would use this company again, it would probably be limited to emergency work as the "bait and switch" impression I was left with would not make them my first choice for a major job.

I scheduled the Big Deal with Mayo Plumbing because I had a leak in my basement at the incoming main water line and I was do for my sewer to be cabled.  I had previously called the water department for them to determine if the leak was their meter or a problem I was going to have to fix.  As I guessed it was not their meter which was leaking.  It was the main pressure unit (or something) to the house and would need to be replaced.

Jerry and Terry at Mayo Plumbing scheduled the Big Deal and my sewer cabling the day after I had called them.  It took the water company three days to get someone out to check my leak which turned out to be the same day Mayo Plumbing would be scheduled at my house.  I was able to let Jerry know before he came that the pressure thingy on my incoming water line would need to replaced in addition to the sewer being cabled.  Jerry made sure he had the part to be replaced with him when he arrived.

All the work was preformed quickly and professionally.  There was nothing for me to clean up..........they did everything!!!!!!
I also know that the price was more than reasonable because I had already checked prices with other companies.to cable my sewer and replace the pressure thingy.  The Big Deal that I purchased was well worth the peace of mind that my plumbing and hot water unit were in good condition.

Jerry also gave me advice for future maintance that would save me money and installed a new shut off at the incoming water main.

I cannot say enough about how professional, friendly and kind Jerry and Terry at Mayo Plumbing are.  They are just good honest people..................and yes I will do business with them again.

Outstanding! Courteous, personable, and friendly, Roger called to confirm before arriving. Was punctual, concerned with keeping my carpets clean, efficient, effective and thorough. Discounted his price for Angie's list without being asked. Offered tips for keeping the drain clean in the future. Experienced and highly professional; would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Main basement drain became clogged 7 days after purchasing our home. We suspected tree roots were clogging the sewage lines. We called our home warranty company but the company they sent us to could not get to our home until the next day, while in the meantime, the problem got worse and we were worried about the backup (nasty sewage water) getting into our finished portion of the basement with carpeting. After finding Root A Way in the yellow pages and following up with Angie's List, we called them and they were able to come out a couple of hours later. They weren't exactly the most professional company I've ever dealt with, but they got the job done. Not rude, just kind of to-the-point. After talking with Larry, I think he's nice enough (and kind of funny), he's just focused on doing the job and not sucking up to customers. When I called, a man answered and said he would pass the call on to a serviceman who would call me when they were on their way. About an hour or two later, Larry called and said he was on his way. He was nice to the cat and the kids and got the job done in under an hour including cleanup. He took great care not to damage anything and replaced everything back to the way it was. I took care of covering the carpet from the door to the drain, so I don't know how they normally handle that, but he did mention protecting the carpet. My advice is: if you're worried about your carpet, protect it yourself. But, I'm sure he would've brought something in. I was especially happy about the cleanup job because I have heard from others that companies don't normally do that. Overall, I'm glad I called them instead of waiting for the home warranty's company.

I called about mid-morning, and someone came out in early afternoon. The gentleman was very polite, and he took care in keeping his feet clean when entering the house. I thought the price was very reasonable.
