Computer Repair reviews in Lees Summit

    Nates IT - Computer Services
Excellent. In fact, beyond excellent. If I could give this guy A+++++, I would. The first place I looked for a computer tech was here on Angie's List and just didn't see anyone that I felt comfortable with. I finally looked at other online reviews and that's where I found Nate. His reviews there were off-the-charts good. So, I decided to give him a try. I called and he was very nice. We ended deciding to take the hard drives out to his shop in Lee's Summit. He got to work immediately (seriously) and both were ready the same day. We also discussed setting it up so that any future work could be done via remote. That worked out well because I discovered one small problem and he was able to fix it that way. It was actually fun just sitting back and watching him make the changes needed to fix the problem. Saved a lot of driving! Now both computers run beautifully, I've been updated to Chrome (which I'd been avoiding), I have a back-up system in place and he even rescued me on a stupid error I made (I managed to mislabel over 5,000 files--giving them all the same name). I highly recommend Nate. His prices are more than fair, he's super-fast and very knowledgeable. We'll definitely use him again.

    Friendly Computers
It went great, very happy with service and level of detail he provided as well as explaining things to my husband as he went along. Several weeks later, had some issues that I couldn't figure out and after dropping off at his shop, he quickly performed troubleshooting and provided some to tips that might help in the future, at no charge as he said it was covered under the warranty from the home visit. Will definitely continue using him for all computer needs in the future, as we have used other companies in the past for computer issues and though they might have been a little cheaper, they either didn't completely resolve the issue or take the time to do it right. It was worth the price!

Did a great job. Accurate on price quote, kept me informed, fast and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend them for any computer repairs. I thought  I would need a new computer because it would not turn on and had been very slow. It now works faster than when it was new.

Great! Computer taken to their shop about 10:00 AM and was ready to go about 12:00PM. I requested prompt service if possible as the computer was need for end of month personal finance. The cost was reasonable and the service was great.

    One Stop Computer Shop
I took my computer in to get the adware, malware, etc cleared. This was definitely affecting my ability to use the internet and as I do online classes this was not a good situation. I took my computer into the shop on Friday afternoon and explained the problem to Joe. He knew immediately what was wrong, gave me a quote and expected completion date. He recommended they upgrade the security program which was included in the cost. Joe called me at 9:30 the next day to say my computer was finished and ready for pick up. I was impressed that they finished it so quickly. Joe was polite and listened to my concerns. When I left, he reminded me that they stand behind their work and to bring it back if I had any problems. I thought the service was good and the price appropriate. I could have probably had the same service done remotely but I prefer to work with a local company. I was very pleased with the service I received from this business and will definitely return for any future computer issues.

I am happy to say that this company did a great job, fixing my broken iPad in record time. I dropped my iPad and it popped out of the case, cracking the screen, shattering it actually. I googled iPad repair and Friendly Computers was the first to come up, then I checked Angie's List for reviews, before contacting the company to inquire about repair cost. I emailed the company and received a cost estimate right away. They indicated that it would be a three day turn around, which was fine with me. I dropped the iPad off at the downtown Lee's Summit location. The staff that I encountered were very professional and courteous. I received a call the very next day letting me know that the iPad was fixed and ready to be picked up. Getting the iPad back so quickly was a big bonus, you don't realize how much you depend on these tablets until they aren't available. The screen looks and works great. The repair was complete, even the bent metal corner from the fall was fixed. The price was exactly as quoted.

    One Stop Computer Shop
We just moved to this part of the country and used this simple job as a door opener to help determine if we would return and continue use of a company. One of the owners greeted me at counter - very respectful and listened to my basis request, just nice and appropriately friendly. I am at the age where I feel more comfortable with a and quot;matureand quot; worker versus a young kid who may come across as indifferent or cocky. We were going out of town for a long weekend and I told the company we were not in a time rush, however, the company let us know the computer was ready in two days, as promised and increased working speed. Good work, good service, Good Folks. We plan on using them again.

    Kaw Valley Computer
I couldn't be happier with my experience. I found Kaw Valley through an on-line search and sent a simple inquiry wondering if they could help with the power issue on our laptop. The response came quickly but it wasn't simply and quot;yes we do that type of repairand quot;-- rather, it offered ideas on what could be involved in the repair and price ranges for parts if necessary. After email exchanges where Rob patiently answered my questions, and because I was so impressed with his customer service approach, we arranged for a pick up of the broken laptop and another one that just seemed slow. Rob was prompt and professional. Throughout the repair process, he kept me informed of the progress on both, sent me pictures of the broken part, and made sure that I approved of the repair costs before incurring any part expenses on my behalf. He was extremely flexible, working around my schedule, and seems very knowledgeable. His price and customer service is far better than others I've dealt with--he wants his customers to be satisfied and I know that means if I have an issue, he will be there to help resolve it.

Computer Medics of Kansas City LLC
They charge per hour. The guy who came out was very personable. He did not come across this notice as I came across as extremely smart. He explained things to me. When he left, I didn't know to ask for some training on when I start my machine what I'm going to see. I started my machine next day; I actually was getting the wireless network to work. I didn't know what choices to make because a screen popped up, and it was asking me questions. I called him up, he came back out, and did it free. He showed me what I needed to do, and got it straighten out. It was a sheer responsibility; he probably assumed that I have more knowledge than I did. I have no idea why because I was very clear that I have no idea what he was doing. I persuade the fact that he came out, and got it all fixed up me without a charge. He was little pricey; but I couldn't have done what he did for me in lesser time.

    Geek Squad - Best Buy
My experience was, in a word, terrible! I was so pleased, initially, that they would make an ''on the spot'' diagnosis while I waited. But, after replacement and removal of the power supply noted above, when I returned home and was able to get the computer to turn on, there was ''no input signal''. I returned it to the store and asked them to check to make sure that some other component had not become dislodged during the work on the power supply. They removed the cover and assured me that everything was in place. (It wasn't - see my report on another computer service in Lee's Summit). With customers standing in line, waiting for a chance to discuss their own issues, the technicians appeared to be working too fast and became careless. I would be very hard-pressed to take a computer to this facility again. To their credit, I was not charged for the mis-diagnosis and work done.
