    Midtown Home Improvements
My main issue with Midtown was the sales person Zack. Zack walked into my home like he already had the sale. Quote a price on windows without ever showing me a window. I had used Midtown before and knew they did quality work, so i overlooked initially. He asked if I needed grids in my windows, something I would have expected him to look at while there. I had to call back to add the grids. I also showed him my current screen door and asked for a price on one like it, that functioned similarly. I picked our a door in the catalog. The door I received was NOT at all like the one I picked. Since there "order" simply said the number of windows and a screen door, there were no product numbers, etc. to back up my claim. Zack advised the door I wanted would be an additional $1500. I advised he needed to pick up the door they installed and I would purchase one elsewhere. I got the exact door I wanted from Lowes installed, for significantly less than $1500. Its been almost a week and I am still waiting for Midtown to come and remove their sub-quality door. Finally, Zack assured me, that the installation include thorough clean up. This was not the case. I am found several screws in my carpet from the old windows, my window sills are scuffed on may windows and will needed to be painted, there was small debris left outside of my house and much inside. This was not the same experience I had previously and I will never use Midtown again. On a positive note, the windows appear to be good quality. The installers were courteous and professional. In fact, they replaced a piece of siding that had fallen down near the one of the windows (pre-install, they did not cause this). This siding was near a wasp nest.

    Hyperion Glass Company
Everything went great from my initial  phone call to the installation. I spoke with Paul on the phone and he came out and gave me a quote. He is a very nice person and gave me a great quote! I had three other quotes from different companies and his was the best. It was half the price quoted to me by two other companies, and he guarantees his product  with a fully transferable lifetime seal warranty. Paul and Amy came out to do the installation and that all went very well. It was a very difficult area to access and the glass units are very large and heavy. Luckily they were able to set up a ladder on the outside deck and one inside. It was amazing what they were able to do. And they were very neat and a complete pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Hyperion glass. As a matter of fact, another window company who does complete window installations, not just glass, recommended them to us. I am so glad they thought so highly of them gave us the name and phone number!

J & J Siding And Window Sales Inc
They were very easy to work with and very responsive. This was for my rental home, and I had some scheduling issues because I couldn't reach the renters. They were very nice and understanding and worked around my communication issues to fit us in their schedule quickly. The results look great and the renters are very happy with the quality. They mailed the warranty to me instead of leaving it at the rental property, which I felt was thoughtful.

    Dan Weber General Construction LLC
Upon initial phone contact, Dan seemed very professional and we scheduled for him to come out to review the work I needed done....replacing existing casements in 3 entry ways and adding casement to another entry.  Dan arrived on December 17, 2014 on time and we quickly got into the discussion on what I wanted done and he provided some additional possibilities to some of the issues I wanted corrected.  Towards the end, I asked when I can expect a quote and Dan responded with, "We'll send it via email, but It might be a few secretary is a grandmother and great-grandmother and sometimes this isn't her priority.  If I sent you a quote, it would be in crayon."  I passed this off as Dan's sense of humor but in the back of my mind was thinking why would you tell a potential client this?  Nevertheless, we parted ways with the expectation that I would receive an estimate within a few days.

A week went by and then another with no estimate.  I attributed this to the holidays, vacation plans, etc. but was a bit miffed that I didn't receive any communication whatsoever.  A simple email, call, or text saying that their holiday schedule put them behind would have been perfect.

Finally, on January 6, 2015, I called Dan and recounted that I had him out 3 weeks prior to provide an estimate on my job and I had yet to receive a quote.  I asked if he was interested in the job and if not, just let me know and I'll go another route.  He said, "I'm interested and I guess you hadn't received a quote and that's why you're calling."  I said that was the case and I again needed to know if he's interested in the work.  He said, "Yes and I need to get with my secretary when I'm in the office tomorrow to find out why you and some others have fallen through the cracks.  She's pro-bono....whatcha gonna do.  You'll receive a quote tomorrow."  As of this writing, I have yet to receive a quote.

I'm disappointed in the lack of professionalism and responsiveness by Dan, who I had contacted based on the reviews here.  In a service industry, referrals are the easiest and best ways to get business and it seems that my job just wasn't big enough for Dan.  If this is the case, a simple communication stating that based on his work load, he just doesn't have the time to devote to my job would have been fine.  However, I'd still scratch my head on anyone turning down work in an industry that ebbs and flows with the economy.  If his secretary is truly at fault, he must understand that while she's "pro-bono," she's actually costing him money by alienating new clients and potential additional jobs and referrals.

It went very smoothly. Marc was very willing to help meet my budget and came out a couple times to give me more options and answer all my questions and concerns. The installation process was smooth. They arrived an time, courteous, quick and cleaned up after themselves. We love our new windows!

Bone Dry Roofing Inc - St Louis
It went great.  They showed up when they said they would.  The roof, ridge vent and sky lights were done in one day.  They came back a week or two later and installed the new gutters.  They cleaned everything up after the job.  They were professional and I would use them again.  Everything looks awesome!

    Penny Window
Chuck from Penny Windows came out right away to give us a bid.  Once we were ready to accept the bid, I had difficulties reaching him again because he is so busy.  However, the work they did was outstanding.  They were the cheapest bid and did an excellent job on the windows and clean up.  I would definitely hire them again.

My experience with them was outstanding. They were on time and on schedule. When you have a problem, they’ll fix it. They are an excellent company. Their prices are very reasonable. They do very good work and they do it in a timely manner.

Clearview Windows and Siding has performed again to perfection.  Marc provided quick, clear estimates for all three projects. The locally-manufactured windows and porch posts arrived quickly and looked very professional. The installation crew was fully aware of their tasks and completed everything ahead of schedule. Their efficiency complemented their skilled performance.  The subsequent in-home quiet and the shorter cycles on their furnace and air conditioning units attest to the quality of product and workmanship provided by Marc Kabak and his crews. I could not have done better. They stayed late at my daughter's home the first day because rain would have prevented any outside sheet metal work on the scheduled second day.

    Complete Construction
The service went really well. We were very pleased, they did a great job. They were very responsive to our questions and concerns as this was the first time we were going through this process and we asked a lot of questions and they were very willing to answer anything that we asked.
