    C & R Transmissions
This experience was great as usual with C&R Transmissions. While the mechanic was rotating the tires he found a nail in one and was able to repair the hole. It had not gone flat yet, but would have soon. I was impressed with the thoroughness and reasonable price.

    Walmart Supercenter
They did not have the correct filter for our 09 Corolla, so we bought the filter from the auto parts store and they installed it. They changed the oil, but unfortunately the oil cap was lost in the process. We drove part of the way home and discovered that the cap was missing and discovered that oil had splattered over the inside hood of the car. We called them when we got home and they were very apologetic and worked to make it right again. They came to our apartment with a new cap and some oil to replace the lost oil. Even though the experience was at least in part negative, it was clearly an accident and they did everything they could to right the wrong. I think they also gave us a discount or didn't charge us, however I cannot remember. Bottom line, they did everything they could to fix the mistake.

    JIM ROBERTSON CHEVROLET TOYOTA
The oil change and tire rotation went well. No complaints there. The warranty work went well. They said that they lubed the belt, and to get a hold of them if it continues to be a problem. When I started the car, the squeak was still there, so I guess it's time to replace the belt!

    BUCK BROTHERS SUNNY SLOPE AUTO
I went in to have my tires balanced and I was told and shown that two of my tires were bad. I was also told my front struts were severely worn, Mr Buck explained and showed me where the wear was, then showed how the rear shocks were bad on my 2002 ford focus, Repairs were done in a timely manner, for a reasonable price. Thanks to their careful inspection of my vehicle serious issues were found and fixed.

    CUSTOM COMPLETE AUTOMOTIVE
Received a coupon in the mail for a $21.95 oil change.  A newer inexperienced employee stripped the threads and the entire oil pan needed replaced.  Marked up the price of the oil pan and charged us labor to install it.

The home office in Columbia, MO refunded our money.

    TIRES & TAILPIPES
I pulled up on a walk in basis on a the 26 the day after Christmas and they were able to get me in right away the assessment wasn't good beings the vehicle was so far out of alignment. So I asked if it was ok if I got the part and brought it in, see O Riley s had the part but it was going to cost $500 per part and I needed one on each side. I asked if it was ok if I found the part cheaper if they would install it and Rick said no problem.
I then went home and found the part on Parts Geek . com at $224 for the set ordered them it took 2 to 3 days for the part to come to my house but 3 days later they had the parts installed and aligned. OUTSTANDING.
The other part I like about Tires and Tailpipes is they have no problem letting you see or showing and explaining exactly what is wrong with your vehicle and how it needs to be fixed. Or how they can patch it up for you until you have the funds to fix it properly.
If it can't be fixed they have quality vehicles at a reasonable price and are willing to bend over backwards to assist.

    Home Oil Co.
They're a full service old style service station/gas station, and they're outstanding. They still wash you windshield, check your oil, and check your tires. If you buy gas, you get all of those services.

    BYRN'S AUTOMOTIVE
Mr. Byrn was very thorough and checked through all possibilities before concluding we needed a new transmission. He checked around for us and said in this area for our type of car it would be very expensive and probably not worth it. I was impressed with his thoroughness and honesty.

    Kirksville Brake & Muffler
We first attempted to go with the cheaper fix (because we wanted to, not because they wanted us to) but that didn't work so we ended up putting in a new pump. We had the vehicle back for approx. two weeks after the first attempt at doing the cheaper repair we requested. When we began having trouble again, they got our vehicle right in for repair and we had in back within the week. They are always fair and honest with their assessment of the vehicle problem, charges are always close to the estimate. The owners Brent and Taryn are good, honest, hard working people.

    ICE HOUSE AUTO PLAZA
Limited in the services they can do, but they didn't charge me when I brought in my car and they determined the type of work that was needed was beyond their ability. They also recommended another shop that has an excellent reputation. Very friendly staff.
