Drywall Repair reviews in Kearney

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • David arrived on time on the day agreed upon. After a quick tour to show him what and where the damage was, he immediately began work. The most severe location was a roughly 2’ by 2’ section of our ceiling that had been removed due a leak in the upstairs bathtub. The other locations were not as badly damaged, but were still nothing that I felt competent enough to handle by myself. Long story short, David completed the work quickly, professionally, and within the initial price quote that was provided. All of the work he completed was absolutely perfect, and we could not be happier with the results! I have one more area that needs repair, and in the spring, when I am ready for it to be fixed, I will most definitely be calling David.

  • Great job by Don and his team! They were very professional and punctual. The line of communication was fabulous, and all of our needs were met! They showed up when they said they would and called us to ask our opinion on anything that occurred, as well as explained any costs that may occur. I would definitely hire them again for any home repairs or remodels!! We love our "new" kitchen!! Thanks Don and team!!

  • Fabulous!  We love the results!  Our tile was perfectly lined up and gorgeous!  Karl was always professional and clean.  Easy to work with throughout the process of planning and performing the work.  He was a huge help in picking out the products to use.

  • I have been mulling over expanding my master bedroom for several years.  The house was built by my parents in 1975, is a tudor style 4 bedrooms, but they're all really small. .  I purchased it in 2007 and had already upgraded the living rooms and kitchen.   I got a few estimates after checking Angies List for contractor/remodelers near me.  There aren't too many listed!  Although Karl's bid was not the lowest I knew it was the most realistic.  I've worked with many contractors over the years and the lowest bid is almost always the cheapest, if you know what I mean.  I also chose Karl because of the number of questions he asked me when making the bid.  Communications is crucial.  Plus, several of his reviewers on Angies List said they would/have hired him again.  Many remodeling projects end with my desire never to see the contractor again (and probably his desire never to see me either!)
From bid to end-of-job, Karl showed up as scheduled or let me know if there would even be a slight delay in his arrival, which was rare.
I did have to wait for about 6 weeks, but he actually started the job when he said he would and finished up on schedule.  He brought one other worker, Danny, who was very easy to work with to.  The job took about 3.5 weeks during which they were very professional.  I work from home so if I did need a few moments of quiet they always worked with me. Otherwise they did not intrude on what I was doing eadh day.
He reviewed with me my plans  for the job, made suggestions related to his past experience and had very good insights.    I did use some of his suggested suppliers and was very pleased with the results.  Both bathroom were completely gutted to the studs.  The existing master bedroom entrance,  3x6 closet and 3/4 bath were combined into one larger bathroom.  This allowed the shower to be enlarged significantly, the toilet was moved and the single vanity was replaced with a large double vanity.  All new fixtures, granite tops, porcelain wall and floor tilef and paint.  Some electrical had to be rearranged, of course.  The full hall bathroom was gutted, tub replaced, new single vanity, flooring and wall tile, paint, etc.

He removed the existing wall between master and adjacent bedroom, created a new walk in closet, roughly 6x8, removed popcorn ceiling still in one bedroom.  He removed 2 doors, installed one new and reversed another.  All new paint.  Although he removed the carpet I did go to Lowes for new carpet throughout all of the bedrooms.
Then I asked them to fix some blemishes and paint the hallway and open stairwell to basement (walls & ceiling) and he gave me a very fair bid on this as well.
Karl and I discussed many details as the job progressed and although we didn't always agree (that just doesn't happen)  we were able to work together towards an excellent finished project.  That is called having 'a contractor I can work with.'  It's a really big deal and often difficult to find.
He has great attention to detail, a hard work ethic and personal integrity.  Because of my past experiences I dreaded telling him about a few things that I would like him to do differently.  But I do not except close enough any more so I did talk to him, he handled the fix most graciously and returned AFTER HE HAD BEEN PAID IN FULL to make the fix.
No remodel job is without stress.  But I could not have expected any more from Karl Ross.  In fact, he far exceded my expectations and I love my new master bedroom suite.  It is absolutely gorgeous.  My sisters were recently over to see the changes in the home they also grew up in and were wowed.  It does not look like a remodel.  There's no evidence that the rooms were combined and it flows beautifully.  Worth every penny.

  • This job went exactly as we planned and hoped it would. They arrived on the day promised and finished 3 weeks later on the day promised. You might think that your home would be in great turmoil for 3 weeks of almost an entire house interior painting and repair, and to a degree it is, but Chris and Dream Stone made the process very non-stressful. They cleaned up after themselves daily, and stored their materials in the garage where we asked them too. The window bases needed to be sanded but they vacuumed while and after they did this.
They used top quality paint and the whole job came in under estimate. We couldn't be more pleased with their work and the process. We had estimates from two other contractors before we selected Dream Stone. We highly recommend them.

  • He did a great job and worked this in quickly this winter. I needed to install an electrical outlet in the wall while he had the paneling off and before he put the drywall up. This was not a problem at all for him to work around me so I could get this done easily. Jeff has worked on three different projects for us now. He has always shown up when he told us he would be there, arriving early every day and often working more than 8 hours. In addition, he has always been willing to explain what he was doing and answer any questions. His crew is equally hardworking and thoughtful about minimizing damage to our property. He always tries to be as accomodating as possible to minimize any disruption caused by the work. He cleans up thoroughly when he is done so there is no need to pick up after he is gone. He also left us with some of the remains of the supplies he used for our own use on other projects.
