The home inspection went great! Very thorough. Every nook and cranny was checked. The inspector took the time to explain everything to me that he found. I really learned a lot! It was money well worth spent. It saved me from purchasing a home that cosmetically looked good, but not so much when it came to the electrical, moisture, and plumbing issues.

Met with Mark and he gave an estimate and a thorough explanation of how the work would be done. He went out of his way to coordinate the work around our vacation time and the date that the siding company could begin the installation of the new siding. The crew showed up on time, was very professional and the quality of the work was top notch. They pointed out a a small termite presence and a couple of areas of rot. They worked a bit extra to get it all done in one day. Mark was onsite and personally saw to it that everything was done as promised. He then followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We bid this out and Mark had a significantly better price, but there was absoutely no compromise on the quality of the work. Mark and his crew were thorough and professional and we would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to our family and friends.

    Dan The Radon Man
Was done in a very timely fashion. Dan the Radon man was knowledgeable, kept the work area neat and tidy and came back at the stated time to retrieve test and mail it in. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. Would definitely use again should the need arise!

    AAS Restoration & Roofing LLC
From my initial meeting with Anthony at AAS Restoration the process of getting a new roof was simple. He made me feel comfortable with my decision and explained all the details within the process. From the time I made the decision to use AAS Restoration the installation of my new roof was completed quickly. The crew cleaned up all the mess and didnt leave anything behind. I would highly recommend AAS Restoration for your roofing needs.

We had new carpet purchased for one room of my fiancé's house. The carpet layers found asbestos tile on the concrete floor upon removing the old carpet. The installation had to be cancelled. This was on a Tuesday. I found DemoPro thru Angies List and called Mike. He was out that same day and submitted a proposal to save the day. The asbestos tile is now gone 6 days after it was discovered and at a reasonable cost. Thank you Mike.

    Dog Gone Mold

Due to the proliferation of mold in the home, and the Seller's unwillingness to admit there was any mold present, my clients did not purchase the home.  However, they thought the quote they received was very reasonable and they had planned on using Dog Gone Mold if they had purchased the home.

At the time of the inspection the house was vacant, and had been for nearly 12 months so there was not much the inspector had to look around aside from the structure. Immediately after moving in we have had issues with water in the basement and termites. The home inspection report showed no indication of water entering the basement however within 2 days of arrival I discovered a small puddle in a corner of the basement. Upon further inspection it appears this had happened before. The inspector did note that the sump pump discharge should be extended, which I have done. I've also extended all of the downspouts further from the house. This appears to have corrected the issue, but I would have expected the inspector to notice water had entered previously.
More importantly I am now looking for a termite treatment service as I discovered a mud tunnel in the the back sunroom. I called the inspector's office (6/16/14) and the owner, Mark, came out to investigate. Mark noted the tunnel and looked in the basement for any more activity...he found none. He stated that the tunnel was inactive and must have occurred after the inspection was performed. I spoke with my real estate agent, who arranged for another opinion from an external party. This inspector found 2 more mud tunnels on the back of the sun room that Mark had missed just 3 days before.
I've attempted to discuss this with Mark but he maintains that there was no indication of termites during the first inspection and wasn't interested in hearing about the 2 additional tunnels discovered following his visit. He states his inspection is valid only upon which the date the inspection is performed. During this call he was rude and confrontational and I felt I had maintained a high level of professionalism with him as a customer.

    6/30/14 Update
Mark Pence, owner, asked to visit again to discuss the situation and to take another look at the damage. During this visit he offered a full refund of the inspections and was very professional. I appreciate that the gesture and I have updated my ratings as such.

    Dog Gone Mold
It appears that the work was completed well, and they will come back out if the treatment didn't work. It was done on time in the morning, as we had movers delivering furniture in the afternoon. We appreciated the flexibility of the company doing the job before we moved in. They were good to work with overall.
My only complaint, and maybe I just didn't understand, was that they left the floor boards unattached and just laying on the finished basement floor. I would have thought that after the treatment and with the cost paid, they would have left it all put back together. We still haven't had time to attach it back to the wall as we are unpacking the rest of the main house first.

Brian and Mason discovered mold in the basement of the 50-year-old house we had a contract on. We contacted Brian to do the work of tearing out old paneling and ceiling tiles in the basement. The team did the work promptly,. They took out all the problem wood and tile, cleaned the mess up. There is a one year guarantee on the work and we are happy with the results. Mason is one smart puppy :)

I called four companies that I located here on Angie's List.  All the quotes were about the same to do 2 air sample tests for a mortgage refinance.  This company, however, had a $50 off coupon, so I went with them.  The technican who came out (I think his name was Mike) was on time.  Explained exactly what he would be doing and why.  Although he didn't have to, he also took a look at the area of the basement that was wet.  He said there were signs of old mold, but nothing active.  He told me how I could get rid of the old mold and made a suggestion on what to do to prevent any new mold.  He said the air sample report would be faxed to my lender and myself by the following Monday, which it was.  Thanks!
