    I paid $2000 upfront to Dan Cahill and Clifford Cooke. Since then, they have repeatedly lied to me for months about getting the permit and then when I finally just asked for a refund, they just quit returning my calls... When I showed up at his house (the current listed address listed on Lindberg is shuttered) he called the police on me for "harassing" him. Now Im having to sue him to get my money back. I thought it'd be a great summer relaxing on my new deck but has turned into months of stress and Im $2000 poorer.

    Excellent experience. From our first meeting with a salesman, Abdul, through the installation I couldn't ask for better service. Abdul was very professional yet friendly, answered all of our questions and offered a price within our budget. Our fence was installed earlier than estimated and the two installers, Freddy and Romario were also very professional and efficient. They even worked in a mild rain to get the job finished. I was also impressed that there was not the smallest scrap left after they cleaned up. We are so glad that we chose Chesterfield Fence and Deck. The fence looks great and we have gotten a lot of positive comments.

    We were very happy with their service.  John is a very friendly person who is most accommodating, especially when I changed the plans a few times.  He held a start date for me until I made the down payment on the job.  The job was completed by our deadline with no problem!  The fencing looks very nice!

    They came out in the hottest part of summer, tore down all of our old chain link, slid new poles in for the new, higher fence, and patched several holes where the fences between yards didn't come together before putting in a taller fence. It only took a couple of days, and they even built us a new gate! The fence looks fantastic and our neighbors were all really pleased with how things turned out. It doesn't look weird with the adjoining yards having shorter fences, which was a concern for all of us, but they did a great job making it all look seamless!

    The salesperson came out and gave us a free estimate, was very professional and informative, and did not pressure us in any way. We got a couple other bids and they were competitive with Chesterfield Fence (and a little cheaper) but didn't offer any references or photos of past projects. Chesterfield was very proud of their past projects and encouraged us to "have a look". 
    The salesperson also explained to us that ALL the work would be done with "in house" personnel and equipment. We received a copy of their liability insurance, a 20 year warranty on all materials, and 5 year warranty on labor and installation.
    The fencing crew arrived right on schedule in company vehicles and promptly went right to work. I was very impressed at how well the crew worked together and how efficient they were. They were very polite and respectful.
    The old fence was removed and the new fence installed [280' linear feet including two new gates] in one day, including hauling away the old fence in it's entirety. 
    To be perfectly honest I cannot tell that they were even here except for the new fence. No mess, no left-over scrap, no dirt piles, nothing on my property or the adjoining neighbor's property to show they were even here. And the new fence looks great.
    I am very happy with the workmanship, quality of the material, attitude of the workers, and the whole Chesterfield experience.
    You truly do get what you pay for. I highly recommend Chesterfield Fence and Deck.

    Skillcrafters were great. They showed up on time, and that was all the merely nice kind of challenge sometimes for the furnace and inspections and they have a lot of men and crew were there and there are plenty of guys and get right to work. It was about 2 years ago. I do not remember our stuff, my hand rid, and so many different people in and out of there. We got hit by a tornado last Friday and so I could not tell you. Actually, it was reasonable, I could probably find a little less expensive but we went with the higher quality of siding and everything else, so, they were fair.

    You want me to say yes or no on using them again, you need an "I don't know" category too, because at this point I'm not sure.   There are things they did well, and other things I am not happy about.  So, I said yes because it's possible, but it is not guaranteed.
    They claim their fencing needs no maintenance and will last 30 years, which was part of why we went with them even though they are expensive.  The fence does look very nice and, once they actually arrived to do the work, it was completed quickly.  Those are the good parts.
    These are the bad parts:
    First, only 1 member of the crew spoke any English, and it was basic, not fluent.  The rest spoke Bosnian.  The company should send their crews to English as Second Language classes and stress the importance of learning English.  They apparently don't.
    Second, they put the wrong latch on my fence.  I have a pool.  It is very obvious I have a pool.  The crew should have been trained in meeting the pool codes and apparently weren't.  I had to call and have them come back out to replace the latch.  They did come back the next day, however, it should have been done correctly in the first place.  Especially after the salesman stressed how knowledgeable their crew supposedly are.  The crew also said they would check on a different type of latch as the one put on was not what I expected, and would get back to me.  Once they left, I heard nothing (see point 4.)
    Third, they held my deposit for 8 weeks before finally doing the work.  I understand the storm damage pushed schedules back, that's not the point.  It wasn't the delay I had a problem with, it's them hanging onto my money during it.  My fence is a standard one using wood they regularly stock .  There was nothing custom about it.  Their explanation is that they have to treat everyone, custom or not, the same.  Why?  Other businesses don't.  Other businesses which deal with stock and custom orders treat custom differently and take a larger deposit for custom then stock.  Chesterfield got to take my money and earn 2 months of interest I should have been able to earn.  When it is not a custom order, and schedules are out that far, they should take less than the 50% they require, then call when they actually place you on the schedule for the remainder of the 50%.  And I was not told of the 8 week delay until after I had sent my check.  I was told my concern was brought to the owner's attention, but never received a response to my concern.
    Fourth, I had to call them after 2 months to find out what the heck was going on.  They should have been calling or emailing me every 2 or 3 weeks, or at least once a month, to keep me apprised of where I was in the Que.  And I got the distinct impression that had I not called them, I would still be waiting with no word from them.  They made me feel like my job had been forgotten.
    We chose them in part because so many reviews said they were attentive.  But I always had to initiate the contact, there was nothing proactive in their approach.  So, will I use them again?  I honestly don't know.  I have high expectations.  I expect proactive practices, I do not expect to have to always be the one who calls them.  Proactive is service, me having to call is not.

    Started by removing two sections of fencing.  Dug out all loose fill down to solid ground.  Put in a layer of rock and totally power tamped the rock.  Used some type of fabric on top of rock.  Then another layer of rock ancd once again ran power tamping method.  New holes were dug for the fence post replacement.  Another layer of dirt and again compressed. Finally a layer of top soil and sod.  Both sections of fence were re-installed.
    Excellant job.  Jerry and his crew worked extemely hard at this as there were numerous issues to work through. Extremely considerate and professional at all times. Would use this company for any future landscaping needs.  Thanks again.

    They were very professional and every efficient. The decks are very large and were in very bad shape. They power washed them and sanded them and then stained them. They also did the same on a long piece of fence plus a priviacy fence. They cleaned up everything. Very good work. Will definitely use them again.

    I hired Chris to power wash and stain our deck and fence after hail damage. We were on a very tight schedule due to selling the house and coordinating with various other contractors for hail damage repair. Chris was very flexible and completed the work quickly and got us the paperwork we needed for closing. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone!
