We talked with other foundation company's and chose KC Pier because they made the process very understandable to us. Nothing was forced upon us and they made sure we had a clear understanding about the type of work that need to be done and why. The staff throughout the process was impressive and the work was completed on time. We would definitely recommend KC Pier to others.

horrible would not return phone calls had to make statements online and show pictures of basement flooding water running in the walls 4 & 5 feet off the ground original repair was done in the year 2000 the owner of the company had a shirt me that he would oversee this project and make sure that everything was done correctly this time also my floor joists are twisting they put beans in the concrete up the wall and attach to floor joist with a 2 by 10 I got a professional assessment from Mr dunn and two other engineers I've had several other companies come out here to tell me they would have to redo the foundation do all the work the first company was supposed to do I'm not happy with the work and AM seeking legal advice on what to do I am also sending a letter to the city expecting them to get involved in this too all I wish is for the work to be done correctly in my basement not the flood every time it rains water coming through the wall and run around the sub pump to the floor drain this is not what I paid for and is not acceptable if anyone wishes to reach me or see the work they have done I will be more than happy to show them I have installed a I have installed a sub pump in a window well to keep water from running inside the house right next to the electrical box I guess I should have took the time off set in a lawn chair and work wash the screw as they did the job so I can oversee it I worked on a bridge crew and I know this was not done correctly but unfortunately I could not take time off to come babysit I suppose professional crew and even after they were done when they come back on the 2nd or 3rd time I run into my fence with some type of equipment and left tire marks on the siding of my house my oldest boy was here he's dead they did not speak English and look like they didn't know what they were doing on the equipment I give them a fail on the job completely 6 times is more than enough to fix the problems

Overall, had an excellent experience.  Allan Kragnes came out for the initial estimate.  He was willing to take the time to explain the process and answered my questions in a way that was understandable.  The work was scheduled within a couple of days.  Another individual came out a couple of days before the actual work was to be performed.  He verified the work order, re-measured and marked the pier locations.  Again, this individual was friendly, professional and answered my questions.  On the day of the installation of the piers, a three man crew came out.  They worked quickly and efficiently.  The crew leader took time to explain things as they went and was patient as I continued to ask about the process.  It took two days to complete the project.  At the end, a couple of doors that had been sticking and a large crack by the garage had been fixed.

One thing that impressed me was the clean up afterward.  The dirt was replaced, the yard raked and cleaned very well.  They did not scrape the yard bare, but left as much grass in place as possible.

I would not hesitate to recommend Dry Basement.

I am particularly impressed with Allan Kragnes.  I have had an opportunity to have him provide advice/estimates on three different occasions at two different homes.  Each time he takes his time, explains thoroughly and provides advice on how to mitigate or prevent foundation problems.  On two occasions he provided advice and stated that there was no need to do any expensive foundation work, as the issues could be addressed by other means.

Over the course of ten days, including the wait time for concrete to set up, Jim and his crew raised a room addition that was sinking, replaced all the piers this time appropriately sized for the room, added beams to ensure adequate support, and finished the work with an enclosure sitting on a concrete base.  It's now safe from critters, looks professional, and best of all, the room doesn't vibrate when the washer is on spin cycle!  Al work was done professionally, and in accordance with our agreement.

My foundation had settled considerably during the recent drought; in places it had settled greater than 3 inches. I contact three companies for estimates. KC Masters estimate was competitive with the other companies. I selected KC Masters ultimately because of their willingness to spend enough time as I requested answering my questions and because a friend of mine who is a builder in the KC area has used them for pier work on new construction and had nothing but good things to say about them.

Matt worked with me on the estimate, and explained the process in detail. He also was responsive to my many phone calls before the work began.

Julien was the foreman for my job. The job entailed over 20 piers, two helical piers, seven tiebacks, and lifting the structure back to level. He met with me the first day of the job and explained the work to be performed in detail. He answered all of my questions. He did find a few issues not anticipated in the initial estimate. There was an issue where there was not enough space for two helical tiebacks due to some partitions in the basement. Julien resolved this issue with the use of carbon fiber strips in lieu of the tiebacks. Additionally I had some mature shrubbery that I wanted to save. Julien removed the shrubbery with root balls intact which I watered during the project. Julien returned the shrubbery when the project was completed and corrected the grade for better drainage. The project ended up costing slightly more than anticipated as a few of the piers needed to be driven deeper to achieve required resistance to lift the house than what is included in the estimate. I also elected to have another pier installed that was not necessarily required. I wanted to ensure that there would be no more settling so I opted for a pier in the one area that had not settled (yet).

After the lifting was completed, our doors shut again, the cracks in the ceiling and walls closed, and our floors were level. Julien and the crew did a great job of cleanup after the work was done. They cleaned the drive and basement floor and seeded and spread straw where the turf was damaged. We would recommend this company and would use them again, although we dont think that will be necessary.

From start to finish this project was everything that you want when working with a company. Jeremy came out to bid the job. He walked me through the process allowing as many questions and interruptions as I could throw at him. As my wife and I looked around and compared what was going to be done as well as warranties and reviews we decided to go with KC Master.  Once decided the fun began.  Our house offered many unique challenges along the way. From old foundation repairs and cisterns sitting in the way  to finding bedrock shallower than we thought.  Through all of this any and all of my questions where heard, answered and taken into consideration.  The thing that I appreciated most about the prework process is that I always felt like KC Master was working with my best interest in mind.  As previously mentioned we had many obsticals which meant possibility for many change orders. We  scheduled KC Master but due to heat they had a mandatory shutdown for a couple of days because some of the crew members went down with heat related issues. Again through this they were very good at communicating when and why things were happening the way they were and promptly got us rescheduled.Once the job started Ryan and his crew were great.  They were willing to answer questions, explain what was going on, as well as give some suggestions. Each day they made sure the area was clean and tools were not laying all over. At the end of the project they back filled everything, graded, and for the most part (other than the freshly stirred dirt) made it look like they had not been there. Other than the wall being straight of course. Overall they did a great job.
On a side note I do want to add that in the grades given above, had the price said value of service for the money spent I would have given an A.  There warranty and tie back system is hard to beat and knowing that they have many engineers who, can and do, look at the job gave me much confidence in the work that was being done. The B that I gave reflects that they are higher compared to others out there but are worth it so far that I can tell.
I will keep this updated once we get (if we ever get) some rain enough to test the new system.
    Thank you KC Master Companies

The job went very well.  Scheduling was very accommodating and quick in sending us a field consultant.  He measured the elevations of the home with a laser over several hours and presented a cursory piering plan.  His report was sent to an engineer for final approval and we were placed on the schedule. 8 weeks later, the job began. Foreman and workers x4 were very professional in appearance, conduct and work ethic.  This team worked very efficiently and fast: digging four 5-8 foot holes, attaching footings and piers within 4 hours.  We were kept informed of the plan, time frame for job completion and addressed any issues that came up.  At the end of each day, construction tape marked all work zones (I appreciated this added safety precaution, as we have 4 children).  When drilling began within our finished basement, they sealed off the portion of the home with plastic tarp to isolate the work area/dust to one side of the room.  Once all piers were installed, the home was pneumatically lifted in small isolated "bursts" to it's appropriate level.  After each "burst", the foreman inspected all drywall throughout the home to check for cracks. We had been informed that more drywall cracking may occur (as our home had recently been renovated by the previous owners).  The mudjacking crew arrived on time and completed their work in 3 hours.  Overall, all work areas within the home were cleaned after each crew had completed their task.  Holes around the home were filled, grass seed & straw sowed over the work areas.  This was hard labor work, especially for the piering crew - I'm amazed that they completed this job in 5 days and at the highest level of professionalism.  We've received several calls from the field consultant during the work week and after the job was completed to check on any concerns, etc. Example:  At one point, a hidden floor drain was located in the basement floor (covered by previous owners with linoleum), which required scoping prior to mudjacking.  I appreciated the forethought of potential problems, should the pipe not be patent.  The field consultant contacted a company, who inspected the line within 2 days, prior to the mudjacking crew arrived.  I know that KC Master Co. was priced slightly more than their competitors, but we felt it was worth every bit - crew was top notch and work is warrantied for the owners and transferrable to future home owners.
