  • The crew showed up on time and finished the job when they said they would. Worked very hard even though it was close to 100 degrees on those days. my only issue was lack of follow up by the sales person. I expected someone to come out and inspect what the crew was doing.

  • We had Cameron out to handle some mudjacking last summer when he was working for a different company. He was fantastic. It was a difficult job, but he stayed with it until it was done. This year I needed a sidewalk mudjacked and called that company back and asked for him. I was excited to know he started his own business, so I called him right away. He came out quickly, gave us a very fair estimate. His guys showed up on time, handled the job, and handled the clean up. They are great! I wouldn't use anyone else. You can rely on Cameron and his guys!!

  • I remember Dan saying "we're all about customer service" several times and he backed that up 100%!
Dan was always willing to talk to me until all my questions and concerns were addressed. He initially let us know they had to wait on the weather to warm up enough before doing the work and he kept his word on that. The first day of warmer weather, they were here working. The estimate on how long it would take was accurate and they cleaned up both the garage and basement nicely. And they also had flexible payment options.

  • We knew we had some foundation issues and started with getting estimates from two foundation companies before we called Dennis. The estimates were from $20,000 for 11 piers to $5500 for 4 piers. Who was right? I had a couple of friends tell me bite the bullet and find a structural engineer to get a non bias opinion. I looked on Angie's List to find a structural engineer. Dennis reviews were good so we had him out. Dennis was on time. Professional and very informative. He spent around three hours inspecting and giving us his option on repairing foundation damage. Dennis recommended 8 piers and gave us a general idea of what to expect to pay for the repairs. He included a structural drawing of the damage and also a recommended drainage drawing for the exterior. We had two other companies come out for estimates. One was for $8700 and the other was $9700 which was in line with what Dennis had told us repairs would cost. Do your homework before you call anyone! That way you have some idea who's blowing smoke! Dennis helped clear the smoke. Dennis was great would recommend him or use him again.

  • We contacted this company because we had had water get into our basement. This occurred  during a very large rain in the late summer because our house had settled over the years causing the ground to slope toward the foundation instead of away by several inches. Of the bids and suggestions we got to remedy this situation, theirs was the best solution. They removed the excess dirt in the yard that was creating the problem and formed a drainage path directing the water away from the house and toward the street. They also built up the dirt along the foundation. It took a while for them to schedule the work due to the amount of rain we had in late summer and early fall. They needed the ground to be dry to get the best results. The day they started I received a call asking if I was wanting to save some of the flowers along the foundation. I thought that was very considerate and also speaks to their willingness to please their customers. I had already transplanted all I had planned to save, so I do not know what they would have done had I wanted to save the flowers. The only hiccups in getting this project completed were weather related. Even though this was out of their control, they kept apologizing and reassuring us that they would get to us as soon as they could. We are quite pleased with the results of their labor and would definitely use them again, though I hope it is never necessary.

  • They were very professional and were able to draw up a plan and give us a bid on the same day. He was very good about explaining how they would remedy our drainage issues. We chose not to use them only because we had another contractor that we felt would more completely resolve our situation. There was nothing bad about their proposed solution, the other guy was just going to be more thorough. We will definitely contact them again if the need arises.

  • Promised 5 year total warranty and free cleaning.  Inspected 9/11/13 said there was a problem and would contact insurance.  Insurance was to pay out 4200.  No check, no phone calls.  Tried to call (phone disconnected)  Checked home address (Moved out)  Free cleaning (Not).  Warranty is only as good as the company.  (STAY AWAY)

  • Overall we were happy with the process. The job was scheduled sooner then we were first told. The crew arrived on time. If there was any negatives it would be that the driveway did not come out completely level with another section but that may be expected(not sure). Also we wished the estimate was a little more accurate. We were told this may happen once work was started due to unseen circumstances under the driveway. Just a shocker when you have to come up with extra money.

  • I called Affordable Mud Jacking based on references from Angie's List and a neighbor who had used them.  Tom came on a late Saturday afternoon of the same week we called for an estimate.  He took time to explain what needed to be done and what didn't.  I thought I had a problem in another area based on a previous estimate from another company.  Tom explained why there was no reason to do anything with that area, although he could have easily added it to the job for additional money.  He went over what needed to be done with me and my wife and said they were running about 30 days out.  He said Jake would give me a call about a week before the work date and confirm the time.
Jake, Nate and Mike arrived at the scheduled time and got right to work.  They were very well organized and extremely thorough.  I had never seen mud jacking done before, but they went beyond what I expected.  Not only did they pump mud in the holes in the concrete, they looked for voids around the edges and pumped mud under several places around the edge of the filled area.  Jake explained that I should add some more dirt in these areas and other places that didn't need filling in order to prevent water from seeping underneath the concrete and causing future problems.  Everyone was very courteous and professional in everything they did.  I was especially impressed with the time Mike took to fill the holes to just the right height and even duplicate the texture of the existing surface in the filled area.  He also did a thorough job of cleaning the area when they were finished.
I was extremely pleased with everyone from Affordable Mudjacking.  Based on my experience, I would recommend them without hesitation.

  • I am  a real estate agent and I have seen in my line of work many homes who have had companies repair cracks in foundations or lift foundations due to settling.  many times the homeowners went with smaller cheaper companies and they got what they paid for, shoddy work and companies that would not warrant their work or went out of business.  It was very important to me to get a reputable company, and one that would warrant their work and I felt  would be in business for a long time.  I called 3 companies to have them come out look at our home and give me bids on the work that needed to be done.  The first two companies that came out told us 2 different things as far as the amount of piering that needed to be done, and were almost $7,000 difference in price. also the 2nd company which was the more expensive one said they would go down 20 feet to hit bedrock and if they had to dig deeper than that would charge us so much extra for each foot.  While we were waiting for the 3rd company to come out I joined angies list and started doing alot of research.  I actually ended up cancelling the 3rd company which is very well known, due to the reviews on Angies List. One day while talking with my daughter-in-law she mentioned there were several people at her work who had used a company called Spartan Foundation and were very happy with them.  So I again got on Angies list and there they were and with all A ratings.  So I gave them a call.  I think it was Phil who came out, . He looked at our house and sat down and talked with me which wasnt easy as I was babysitting grandkids. He was very patient with the interruptions, and sat and explained everything to me, what needed to be done and exactly how they would do it and the cost, and they would not charge us extra if they had to go deeper than 20 feet, which was good becasue they ended up having to go 35 feet. I mentioned to him the other companies we had had come out and give us bids and he never said a bad thing about them,.  You see one of the companies that had come out called to see what we had decided and when we told them we were going with Spartan started talking about how bad their piering system was which was funny because it was the same system they used.  I do not appreciate companies bad mouthing someone else just to get business. When the day came to actually raise the house, it was very nerve wracking with all the creaking and groaning but they were great about coming in and explaining everything that was going on and walking us throught the whole process.  I would highly recommed Spartan Foundation to anyone.  They not only do a good job, but really care about the client.
