It's a nice store. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. I will use them again in the future.

    Paul's Furniture Outlet
It went well, from the floor staff to the delivery.  Even getting the price adjusted was no problem

They're very well thorough. They are actually the biggest appliance area in the are and they're cheaper. They sell furniture T.V, home things and its definitely a one stop type, an all in one area. They treated us very well. Were 30 miles from them and they didn't charge us anything to bring it and set it up. They're very reasonable, they're prices could not be beaten. They're on a very good rating. They were here a day early. Very professional and very well personable too.

We went to pick up our furniture on 6/30 and two back cushions on our love seat were missing. We were told we could pick them up in two weeks. Yesterday was 7/31/10, we just picked the cushions up because they weren't ready until that week.

My husband and I purchased a coffee table, three end tables, a side table, and a sofa table from NFM June 30, 2013 that was manufactured by Broyhill Industries. The entire purchase was a little over $2,000. Less than a year later, they began splitting on the edges and down the middle in several places. We contacted NFM and they sent out a furniture specialist to look at them. He told us that they were seasonal splits and that there was nothing that could be done to repair them and that they would just continue to split up. NFM replaced them with the same style by the same manufacturer in April 2014. Less than a year later, the new tables began doing the same thing. I contacted NFM today about the splitting and spoke with 4 different people in customer service, including 2 supervisors and they all told me that they go by the original purchase date and not the replacement date, and since it had been almost two years ago they would not refund or replace the furniture. I asked them why, since I had only had the newer furniture for less than a year, and the stickers on the furniture indicated that they had been made a few months earlier from when they were replaced in 2014. They said that they go by their manufacturer policy, which is that furniture is replaced within the first year, and after the first year, regardless of whether its been replaced with newer furniture, they go by the original purchase date. After that, there's nothing they will do. I asked them how they could replace defective furniture with defective furniture, and then stand by their manufacturers and their policies and not their customers when they sell them defective furniture. It is absolutely not right that they can do this to their customers. We've had this new set of furniture less than a year, and now it is basically worthless. Their only offer was "Special Pricing" on new tables. I shouldn't have to spend more money because they refuse to make this right. To me, that was insulting. I am absolutely livid about this whole ordeal! This is completely unacceptable! BUYER BEWARE!! It is apparent to me that NFM will stand by their manufacturers and their policies, but not their customers!! We had always enjoyed going to NFM to shop, but we are NEVER setting foot in that store again! I'm canceling our credit with them and we are washing our hands of that company!

The buffet was warped. It was warped in a way that would not bear a lot of weight from the china cabinet. We had a warranty. So we went to the store to talk with them and get a replacement. They basically told us no. So we went to the Better Business Bureau for help. Finally the district manager of the furniture store stepped in before we went to arbitration with Shubert Furniture.

    Nebraska Furniture Mart
Recently I purchased a "Rhythm Clock" from Nebraska Furniture Mart. Instead of going to the store myself, I decided to puchase the clock from their website. This every expensve (almost 500 dollar) clock was to be a Christmas present for my wife. During the checkout procedure I had the choice of "gift" upon checkout so I naturally assumed the clock would be in a plain box or wrapped as to not be obvious as to what it was. Well, lo and behold, the clock arrives in a VERY conspicuous box (a photo of the clock is on the outside with the words "rhythm" all over the whole box) and guess who gets home before I do? MY WIFE!!!!!!! ARRRGGGGGGG. So I write a complaint to NFM and get this lame email, explaining that "gift" only means I won't get a DAMNED PHONE CALL!!!!!!! Needless to say, I am now scrambing trying to find something else to surprise my wife with and you can bet it won't be from Nebraska Furniture Mart.

My bill was supposed to be $467 if I paid them off in 90 days. I ended up paying over $600. The original salesman didn't tell us the payments he told us to make wouldn't pay it off in 90 days. They did not stand by their word.

    Value City Furniture
We bought this couch from Value City Furniture, but couldn't pick it up for a few days. Our sales lady (janice) said it would be taken off the showroom floor immediately and be covered until pick up. We went to pick it up, it was not covered, and oh, it is leather and was told it would be treated which it was not. Got it home and noticed there are two scratch marks on the ends in front. They at first tried to tell us it was us taking it through the doorway, but then agreed it couldn't have got there that way. Both scratches at either end, in exact same spot. We bought a warranty of course, but they cannot make it out to take a look at it for 11 days. OMG. I do not recommend buying from this place. We were told, if anything happens to the couch, it would be replaced, as said the sales lady. She admitted she forgot to cover it for us. OOpppps! Now we have to wait 11 days to see if they can do anything, if not, we have no idea! Very sarcastic employees at this business. I do not recommend this company to anyone!

    Slumberland Furniture and Mattress Store
Ordered couch on 3/30/11, should have taken 4-6 weeks. As of 7/5/11 couch has still not been delivered. Contacted O'Fallon Slumberland's Manager, Jason, on 7/1/11 to get money refunded but employee that cuts the checks was on vacation and check would be ready on 7/5/11. On 7/5/11 Manager, Jason, called and stated that check would not be ready until 7/7/11. Contact Slumberland's Corporate Office and filed a complaint, but a representative will contact me back for another 24-48 hours. This purchase has been a nightmare. Everytime I've contacted Slumberland’s Manager, Jason, I get excuses or even hung up. I finally contacted the Attorney General hopefully something will be taken care of soon.
