  • I called a few other tuners who had no interest in helping me with my spinet--it's a finicky piano. Bill was polite, helpful, and clearly very knowledgable. I will definitely call him in the future for any issues regarding my piano.

  • I purchased a big deal and than I called and I told the gentleman what I needed done. I received a call shortly after from them letting me know that they do not service my area. The gentleman did give me a name of someone that can do the work, but it defeats the purpose of the coupon I bought.

  • I agreed to pay $2600 TOTAL for a Fridge and a Washer Dryer both dented and dinged
    The day of delivery he calls and says of I am trying to deliver but you have balance do, I had already paid CASH!
    I called he said oh I just meant you have to pay for delivery now.
    I said No wait a minute you said IF I paid cash $2600 TOTAL that means EVERYTHING... I mean that is the definition of the word TOTAL yes?
    So we argue I say fine refund my money
    He says NO returns!
    Crude! So I agree to pay his ransom
    It is moving day for me everything delivered.
    Later I find the washer but not the dryer is hooked up. I go to hook up dryer (No power cord) what the? OK whatever I Went and bought a new one no complaints.
    A week later I have a contractor come to install the water line for my new fridge and ice makers.... What do they say... THE PIECE WAS CUT OFF? THE WORD LEAKS IS WRITTEN ON THE BACK????? I HAVE TO CALL SAMSUNG TO GET THE REPLACEMENT PIECE? ARE you kidding me?
    So by the time I paid Delivery
    Then bought the new power cord for dryer
    Now the parts for the fridge
    I have now paid MORE than what LOWES had these items for sale for last week.
    BEWARE MATT IS A LIAR AND A RIP OFF!
    AVOID HIM AND HIS BUSINESS PRACTICES, he has a lot of excuses but does NOT make things right for his clients!

  • We are relocating and needed to find a new home for our piano.  I contacted our local school district and arranged to give it to them for use in their piano lab.  Angie's list help us to find ABC Quality Moving.  Owner Mike gave me a price quote immediately - including a discount because it was a donation!   Within two days of my call, he had the crew pick up the piano and make the delivery as promised.   It was a wonderful experience because the planning was quick and easy, the work was done promptly and exactly as promised, and the price quoted was the price we paid.  The school is happy, we are happy and we hope the piano is happy in its new home with students to enjoy it!

  • Cedar chest's decorative veneer, one of the legs, and hinges were extremely damaged from years of use and water damage from being in a garage that flooded.  The interior was in perfect condition and the wood was sound.  The people at Custom Furniture Works were professional and courteous to me.  I had asked that the chest would be restored to what it had originally looked like and if it could be done before Christmas.  I was given a price and informed of how the chest would be restored and given a date on when it would be completed.  I was astonished when I saw how lovely the chest turned out.  The decorative veneer was replicated precisely as it had originally looked, the color and luster of the finish was exactly what I wanted, the lid closes perfectly now, and it was done Christmas, too!  I thought the price was a little high, however, on seeing the quality of woodworking and craftsmanship, I felt the price was worth it.

  • My Wife and I shopped the mattress stores in north county, we then heard about slumberland and decided to drive to Slumberland to check it out. As soon as we entered the door we were greeted and asked what it was we were looking for. Greg showed us the matress area and allowed us to browse for awhile, He then returned and answered our many question. Allowing us to check the many different matress types that the store had on display. We stayed for over 1 hour and never felt pressured to hurry our decision. After finnally making our choice Greg and Janet quickly took our order and made sure we understood everthing. The overall experiance was very pleasent, we never felt pressured they took the time to answer all of our question and they had a large selection to choose from. I would definatly return next time we need furniture.

  • All business events were prompt, friendly, and professional - the initial in-home visit for an estimate, pickup, and delivery. Work was estimated at one to two weeks and was done in a week. The table was returned to like-new appearance.

  • Contacted Steve on Jan. 11, 2013, and he told me he'd provide us with an estimate on Tuesday, Jan. 15th. He arrived promptly at the stated time, and provided us with his fabric books to make a selection. We found what we wanted, and he proceeded measure the chairs, and then gave us an estimate on the amount of fabric, the labor cost etc., which came to $1470.00. for both chairs. He said it would take approximately 4-6 weeks to complete, and on Feb. 13, 2013 the chairs were returned in beautiful, perfect like new condition.
    The craftsmanship was impeccable, and the price was fair for the work performed. The chairs look beautiful in their new color and their like new condition. The chair legs were also retouched, and looked excellent. I would use this company again, and want to thank them for their professionalism and friendly, personal service. Steve was great to deal with, the young man who delivered the completed chairs was very prompt and courteous. I would recommend them to anybody that needs this type of work performed. As a former Vice-President of several companies (now retired), it's refreshing to see the professionalism, respect and follow-up that Steve and his crew provided. Job well done!

  • I first saw this company's ad and pics on www.stlouis.craigslist.org. I went to the warehouse during a heat advisory. The 3rd fl. warehouse temperature was above 90 degrees and outside was 105 degrees. I took a walk around the huge showroom floor and looked at the furniture. But due to the extreme temps inside, the Manager had me to take cool off breaks in her air conditioned office with cups of water. After viewing the furniture I told the Manager what pieces I wanted and the quanity of each. For example: 6 chest of drawers, 5 square mirrors, 2 twin mattress sets, and 2 frame sets, ect. After I telling the Manager, she then had her dock worker hand pick the pieces and load them into my rental truck. That evening as my son is unloading the furniture he notices some blood stained bedding; the box springs badly beaten and worn; and the frames are old and bent; and that the tracking on one of the chest of drawers was broken. Well I called the Manager the next morning and told her about the defective furniture. She apologizes and said she will pick it up and switch it out, and at no delivery cost to me due to there own fault. and failed to do as promised. Well after a couple of days, she started ignoring my calls, and after about two weeks I reported her to the BBB.

  • The contractor Bushon Electric aka Linbar Services owned and operater by Linde and Barry Bushon were the most unprofessional and greedy price gouging people I have ever delt with. Barry was in charge of taking the construction plans back to the designer at Home Depot. He failed to inform the designer that I had an outside ventilation system in the kitchen, so we they designed it without. I was left with 'recirculated air" , but for an addition $1,000 he could fix it. Home Depot had nothing to say. Half way thru the rewiring he tried to tell me I need a whole new panel upgrade before he could continue, which was an additional $1,600. Linde the wife, was unprofessional as well, failing to inform me ahead of the agenda, snapping and raising her voice at me about information she assumed she informed me off. They wanted to charge me $520 to have the gas line to the new stove moved less than 3 inches. They don't tell you that you are responsible for installing the sub-floor, a simple procedure that cost less than $20, but detrimental to the installation of your cabinets and stove, refrigerator. His employees and all the sub-contractors were extremely professional. Wish I could have worked with them out-side of Linbar Services. Barry was so bold and dishonest he even called True Value up and told them he had a permit already on my job to do the moving of the gas line when he was told I hired them to do the work for $120.00. It is now August 12, 2010 and Home Depot nor Linbar Services have yet to do the final walk thru of this job, why, because they know they failed me as a customer. I will be submitting this to the Better Business and to their head office.
