    We have been M & P customers for three years, for lawn fertilization and landscape maintenance. Two months ago they completed a major project for us, replacing older overgrown shrubs, adding new landscaping, and installing underground PVC pipe to drain away water from two gutter downspouts. Doug, the General Manager, was very helpful with plant selection, layout ideas, and planning the work to be done. The M & P workers, as always, did an excellent job. They are professional, pay attention to details and cleanup after the work is done. We plan to continue using M & P for future landscape projects and maintenance.

    Unlike prior years, we saw an increase in the amount of weeds, particularly in our backyard, which made us question whether or not applications were being applied to our entire yard as contracted. Our neighbors that have lawns adjacent to ours also utilized the same program and did not have the same issue with the increase in the amount of weeds. While we were never home at time of application to confirm whether or not applications were being applied to the entire yard as contracted, we did see evidence that the front yard was treated, which was in the form of overspray of the granular applications on the sidewalk and driveway. We did not see evidence of the application on the back yard. On several occasions we called Heritage and spoke with Christine Cain, who served as the office manager. She repeatedly told us that according to the workers, all of our lawn, including the back yard was being treated. After the aeration, which was done properly, Heritage was responsible for over seeding the entire yard. My wife was home when the over seeding was performed and noticed that most of our yard was not over seeded. This was evident by the absence of seeds on bare areas throughout the yard. My wife called Heritage and spoke again with Christine Cain to complain about the over seeding and asked to meet with the individual (Jonathan) that oversees the company���s residential service. Christine stated Jonathan would come out to meet with my wife the next morning; however, she did not give a time for the appointment. The following day, Christine sent a message stating Jonathan was too busy to meeting with my wife so that she could show him all of the areas that did not show that seeding had been done. When my wife called Christine to resolve the issue, Christine sent an e-mail stating ���Due to the complaints received about our service, we are refunding you the pre-paid amount of $247.50 for the aeration and over seeding. At this time, we are also refunding the pre-paid $180.00 for the two remaining fertilizer steps this season.��� At no point did we request any form of refund. We simply wanted the services that we had contracted for early in the year. I contacted Jonathan later in the week regarding our disappointment in Heritage. I was particularly disappointed in how Christine Cain approached our concerns, given our long standing relationship with Heritage as well as prior favorable reviews that I had posted. Jonathan was very apologetic and stated that he would take care of the remaining applications; but, asked that we not contact the office (Christine Cain) again. While the services were later performed, we did not receive any further follow-up. As a long standing customer of Heritage, I am very disappointed in the quality of their office and field staff. We will no longer use Heritage for our lawn and landscaping work. If you contract with this company, make sure you are home when they apply the applications to oversee the work. Hopefully, you won't have to contact the office manager, who is in desperate need of customer service classes.

    This past year had problems with them cutting the grass too short. I lost a lot of the brand new grass that I paid them for the previous year. They were aware of the problem but couldn't seem to get it fixed. Mysterious overcharges kept showing up on my bills-I was charged an additional amount each cut that couldn't be adequately explained to me and I was charged for cuts that didn't happen. Yesterday I came home to find a note that they put fertilizer down on my yard. On January 23. When I called I was told it was my December fertilizer application. That's enough for me-I cancelled services. If you want your yard maintained properly at a fair price then this is not the company for you.

    He didn’t show up for the first three times that he told me he would and then he would show up sporadically and he still hasn’t given us our fourth lawn service. I liked that he texted to say he is on his way.

    There was good communication with Brandon.  He answered several questions prior to service.  His crew worked efficiently to get it all done. 

    The last e-mail that was sent was not responded to, which left me uncertain as to the time that his crew was coming.  But that might have just been me.

    Initially I was told to pay $30 a month and not more for their services. I was a member for the provider for about 6 months but the service performed was not satisfactory. I called them saying that my grass does not look good and to not take out any more money from my account. They took out unauthorized charges even after I advised them that I wouldn't want their services anymore. The company would also call a couple times during the month saying that I needed more services done and that they would charge me extra for them. The representative I dealt with was extremely rude and also suggested that if I got these extra services that the grass would look better but it was unnecessary. They would not let us know when they would arrive to start on work as well.

    He is excellent.  They are very professional.  They are very responsive.  They have excellent ideas.  They are really easy to work with.  My neighbors commented on how nice his crew was.  He is a top notch individual.      

    I will be also calling him annually for general maintenance, probably nothing major after the big work.
