    Midwest Concrete & Const Inc
Tom replied to my request for a quote quickly and they were able to work the job in fairly quickly as it was a relatively small driveway. The crew were all friendly and hard-working. They did a 5 pour with added fiber to strengthen the driveway at my request. My only issue seemed to be in passing along communications of what we initially agreed to regarding finish work. I was out of town when they did the work and Im sure that had an effect. Overall, I would give them an A.

Their work was tremendous. They worked quickly and professionally. We received frequent updates as to when the project would start and how the progress was going once the project began. Super friendly and nice to work with!

Mark Hoffman was very prompt on answering my call and giving me an estimate on pouring and finishing a new patio and driveway extension at our house in Fenton MO.  Called him in the morning, he stopped by in the afternoon and I had my quote that evening!  They were able to pour within 5 working days.  His crew showed up bright and early and had the job done around 3 in the afternoon.  They were very professional and kept a very clean job site.  The concrete work looks great, all of my neighbors have stopped by and said it looks awesome!  I will be using Hoffman in the future to replace my existing driveway.  Thanks for the great work!

The job was finished in one day. They answered  my questions  about how long until I could walk on it and drive on it. They were reasonably priced and were prompt! The guys were polite and clean. Another amazing job!

I called Hoffman Concrete for a quote on replacing my driveway and walk. The estimator was very polite and answered all my questions. When the quote came, it was a decent price and had all the job details. The payment was to be in 3 installments. 1/3 up front, 1/3 when they start the job, and the last 1/3 when it was complete. Again, the foreman was very polite and helpful. He called me when they can across a drain pipe under the old drive and was very accommodating when I ask that they replace it. They completed the job in 2 days, tearing out the old drive and walk on the first day and pouring the second. After about 10 days they came back to power wash and seal. Overall I think it was a really good job. I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Trevor was very helpful and gave us a good estimate of the time involved and the money needed.  We ended up having to change the plan half-way through when our existing deck was found to have a lot of water damage we didn't know about.  They were flexible and gave us a few options to keep the price down.
The quality of the work was excellent, no problems with that at all.  The crew was nice and punctual.
The only reason I gave them a "B" was for responsiveness.  They are very busy, and we got them in the rush of the end-of-summer season.  However, we did not always get a call back in a timely manner, which was a little nerve-wracking given our plans had to change mid-project.  The crew also left some old concrete pillars in our backyard as opposed to hauling them away when the project was done.  They did come back the next day, once we brought it to their attention.  They left our yard, overall, in a great place.  We are planning to call them again for some additional work we need done next year.

    All went well.

The exterior foundation wall (approx. 40' x 7') looks good and is now ready for paint.

The rear patio cracks are now repaired and should prevent any further settling.

The sagging front wall also looks good and as a result of some heavy lifting and some quick drying hydrolic cement, the wall should not settle further. The gap that was opening is now gone and after a few weeks of curing the repair should not be noticeable. This part of the job looks especially good because the crew removed and reset several surrounding bricks so the space between all bricks is he same.

While doing the contracted work, Tony and his crew noticed seveal small holes in the driveway and one hole on the front porch which they reparied at no charge.

    Domian Paving & Concrete

July 2nd removed old concrete pad and replaced. Domian was to install
rebar and fiber mesh, which was not done. Domian extended the warrenty to 5
      years on the concrete

August 15th original start date, which I called on August 12th to verify and
was told yes we will be there. Work was not started. Domian stated on the 15th
we are running behind and cannot start.

August 19th ? start date per Domian ? no work done. I called to find out when
work would begin. No one called me. Finally saw Domian and said we will start
tomorrow and it be finished on Friday.

August 20th ? Start date per Domian ? power washing performed

August 21st ? no work or calls to let me know when Domian continue work.

August 22nd ? no work. I called several times during the day to see when
Domian would be here to work and no one called me back till early afternoon.
Per phone call. Work will begin August 26th.

August 26th ? no work, and I placed several call to find out when work would
begin. Finally got a call back and was told work will being August 27th. Had to
reschedule delivery of Hot Tub due to job not being completed. Rescheduled for
      September 5th.

August 27th ? first base cost applied.  Noticed bolts for the pools safety cover were covered up with the base coats.  Told Kevin Domian the bolts cannot be covered up.

      August 28th rain no work

August 29th second base coat applied

      September 2nd Final coat applied

September 3rd called two times to see if Domian was coming to finish the job.
      No call back

September 4th called two times to see if Domin was coming to finish the job. No
call back. Had to call and reschedule delivery of Hot Tub.

      September 5th no work

September 8th Domian showed up to remove tape from the
expansion joints. Kevin Domian stopped working as he could not remove the tape
as there was too much material on top of the tape

September 9th Kevin Domian showed up and used a hand grinder to remove the tape
from the expansion joints. He made cut lines that cut into the expansion
joints, and cut lines that were not in-line with the expansion joints
Also the pools safety cover bolts were covered up with material.   I reminder Kevin Domain sevral times the bolts cannot be covered up. He did apply tape to the bolts but either the material was too think or the tape came off during application of the material, so they were covered up.  He was not able to locate all the bolts and the ones he did locate he had to use a hammer and chisel to remove the material.  This was less than ideal and didn't look professional.

      September 10th no work done

      September 11th no work done

September 12th no work done. Emailed and called Kevin Domian that work is not
acceptable, wanted my deposit back from the difference of the concrete work.
Concrete work 2600, deposit 4,100. Requested 1,500 back. Kevin Domian said he
would call me back by end of business on September 12th to give me his
      decision. No call

September 13th sent a text to Kevin Domian stating that I have not heard back
from him on how he would like to proceed.

September 15th, called Kevin Domian asking him if he would pay back part of my
deposit. Received text from Kevin Domian saying he would come by my house to
repay my deposit and collect his material left at my house. Kevin did not show

September 16h Marblelite, Authorized Elitecrete installer inspected the job
done by Kevin Domian. Marblelite says there is a sealer on the pool deck and
will cost an extra 3000 to grind off the sealer. Job was 5000 and now is 8000.
Sent text to Kevin Domian stating that I now need all of my deposit back as the
pool deck needs to be grinded to remove sealer costing an extra 3000 or 8000
total. Kevin Domian refused and said he would see me in court if I wanted all
      of my deposit back.

September 16th - Called manufacturer of Elite Crete product and they verified the
additive in the stain Domian used has a sealer in it. I also called the
authorized reseller of Elite Crete product and they also verified the additive
in the stain has a sealer in it.

    Irish Construction
Beware. Upon arrival to bid a patio replacement by Irish Construction, the first question I was asked was if I had another bid. When I answered yes, the next question was how much it was for. When I refused to answer that, stating that would not be competitive, he was obviously irritated and asked if it was $15k and I said it was much less than that, which it was (as was the next bid). He said that's what it would take without even reviewing my plans and stated he didn't need the work if he didn't get more respect than that, with an added comment about driving an hour to get to my house. It was quite an odd exchange, but I really don't think he was interested in doing my job unless I was willing to pay an hefty premium. Did show up a few minutes early, so an A for that! I'll look forward to an entertaining response.

    G & P Concrete Inc
It turns out that the company didn't do the type of work I needed so the didn't come out to provide an estimate (totally understandable).  They were prompt, courteous and professional in their email correspondence.
