    The Appliance Guys
We've had The Appliance Guys visit us on two separate occasions, and they've been great both times. They identified the issues quickly, gave us solid cost estimates, and let us decide how to proceed as educated consumers. We will definitely hire them again for the next issue that arises!

    All American Appliance Service Inc
My 19-year-old Kenmore refrigerator was no longer cooling and the freezer was quickly thawing out. First, I called Sears Home Services and got transferred to a call center. I was informed that a diagnostic service call would cost $125. Any parts and labor would be incremental. The earliest possible opening available was more than a week away. The call center agent then tried to upsell me, stating they would only charge me $80 for diagnosis, parts, and labor...provided I agreed to be billed $49 each and every subsequent month for coverage for all my appliances. Left with a bad taste in my mouth, I pulled up Angie's List and found All American Appliance. I spoke to Alex who -- unlike the Sears call center agent -- knows how to repair a refrigerator. In an attempt to diagnose the problem, Alex asked me several questions. He offered a hypothesis as to what might be causing the problem and suggested a corrective action. He scheduled a service call within 48 hours, but asked me to call him prior to the appointment to see if the corrective action worked. It did! I called Alex back, canceled the appointment, and thanked him for his time and expertise. Clearly, Alex was focused on providing great customer service...not on making a quick buck. That said, I will most definitely call All American Appliance if / when I need help in the future.

DO NOT HIRED THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING WITHOUT A THOROUGH REVIEW OF HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Jan 27th my dryer did not dry the 5 towels I had in there, my home owners warranty, 2-10 home warranty, sent Pat's Appliance to answer my service call. Bob Lousouwsky (spelling? probably butchered this Polish name) came to my house, took my $100 check saying he had to order several parts to fix my dryer. On Feb 26th I looked up my work order on 2-10's website for an update on the ordered part and estimated completion date. I saw that Pat's Appliance had told 2-10 that the work order had been finished on February 1st! I went on BBB to check Pat's Appliance and I also googled Pat's Appliance, the reviews were abominable, had I checked the reviews out first I never would have accepted them as the company of choice for my repairs and thankfully I did not let my dryer get torn apart. Many reviews stated Pat's Appliance Service likes to "need more money to order more parts" half-way through a repair and then take months to finish the repair started...hmmmmm. So I started calling Pat's Appliance to see what was going on, no answers and no call backs at all, overall, a general lack of professional courtesy to let me know when the ordered parts were received, and when/IF they would be back out to fix my broken dryer with the ordered parts. Then, when I could not get through nor receive any call back, I filed a BBB complaint against them on Feb 29th asking for restitution of the $100 I had paid for services that had never been rendered. I also called my 2-10 home warranty company and let them know what kind of company they were sending into their customers' homes, and told them that my dryer was still not fixed. 2-10 warranty apologized for the inconvenience and assigned a new company, Repair King, to my service call. 2-10 also said that they would pay the $100 service call fee that is required to be paid for all service calls. Verbatim from my contract with 2-10: "You are obligated to pay the service fee or the actual cost to repair and/or replace, whichever is less, for each separate service call. A service call means each visit by a service contractor for a single service (plumbing, electrical, appliances, heating and air conditioning and pools/spas). After several months of weekly calls, the BBB was finally able to communicate with Pat's Appliance on July 10th, and the person they talked to, Bob L., told them that I was not out any money since 2-10's policy is to cover any additional service call fees. First of all, this is not the normal policy, I was fully expecting to have to pay another $100 to the service company on-call and it was worth it to me to have a fixed dryer, 2-10 decided to cover this cost for me, most likely because of a great client retention policy and professional courtesy. Second of all, who paid the second hundred dollar service call fee should not be allowed to negate the fact that I paid $100 for services not rendered! Pat's Appliance did not deliver the services that was paid for. Keeping the $100 payment without delivering the services it was paid for is called stealing, regardless of who paid it or who paid the second contractor! However, BBB told me that since 2-10 covered the $100 cost of another company, I was therefore not out any money, and they would not be pursuing restitution of the one hundred dollars I paid to Pat's Appliance Services even though service was not rendered. I think my BBB agent was exhausted with dealing with this deplorable company for months, she told me to take her decision to the State's Attorney's office if I thought her decision was wrong. DO NOT HIRED THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING WITHOUT A THOROUGH REVIEW OF HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

    Sears Appliance Repair
I was really disappointed and won't use them again. The repairman, after a cursory peek inside the top, said the timer was shot. I questioned that, because it had worked sometimes, just not consistently, but he insisted. I went to Sears and bought a new one. When it was delivered, the new one didn't work either. I had to wait past the warranty time to call an electrician, and they found that the outlet was faulty. A new outlet got everything going. This means Sears took my perfectly good dryer, (did not credit me the $95 toward the new one, by the way) and gave me a false report, causing me to have to spend more, (which they were happy to sell me). I feel the repairman should have tested the outlet. I feel stupid for not knowing more, but that's what I hired them for!

    Pat's Appliance Service
NEVER USE Pat's Appliance Service at 17171 Chestnut, Warrenton, MO. I have 2-10 home warranty service, 2-10 really needs to discontinue service with Pat's Appliance Service. They took my $100 check and said they needed to wait for a part to be ordered before they could fix my dryer, but could not give me any estimate as to when. They do not return any calls. I had them come out Jan 30th, 2017 it is now Feb 26 which is more than enough time to get a part in, or at least return your customers calls and give an update. Worst customer service by this contractor! I went online to see if there was a different number I should be calling/leaving messages. I found customer reviews on this company stating the exact same issues I'm having, with no solutions, they don't return calls, when they do come to fix what they need to order the part for they come unannounced to finish fixing the appliance without any heads up or professional communication.

Dreading the anticipated repair cost and hassle, I finally called Appliance Repair Masters. Gary arrived on the same day, within a few hours and repaired it with a replacement kit that he had with him (no waiting for the parts and another appointment). He quoted the full price before commencing the work. It was more reasonable than I expected plus I had a savings coupon. He assured me the repair kit was reliable. He completed the job, put the fridge back together and cleaned up the area. He also rebalanced the fridge on its floor levels.

    All American Appliance Service Inc
He was thorough and professional! had to get a part and returned the same day to finish the job. It turned out that it was not exactly the problem so he did not charge us for what he didn't use. It turned out to be something that was covered in a maintenance visit so that saved us at least $100.
I would use this service again in a heartbeat!

    American Appliance Service
My frig quit working on Sunday evening.  Contacted American Appliance Service the next day around lunch time and set up a service call for Tuesday.  Jason quickly diagnosed it a an issue with the control panel.  He had to pick one up.  If it was in stock he thought he could get back that afternoon to replace it.  Unfortunately, it was not in stock, but he would have it the next day.  When it came in, it was the wrong one, so he had to order it.  He contacted me for approval of the additional cost for overnight shipping and the cost of the part.  He came back on Thursday and replaced the board in a matter of a few minutes.  It did take some time to configure it, but it was no fault of his.  The part did not come with any instructions on how to program it and all the online info was wrong or incomplete.  He called his Dad, and he knew had a copy of the instructions, which he emailed Jason.  Jason then quickly configured it.  Very pleasant young man and hard worker.

He came out very promptly.  Needed parts for ice maker.  Offered to deliver them the next day but we would not be home so he rescheduled to our convenience.  So far so good!!!!
We also had them out to fix our air conditioner and he was very prompt and very thorough.
