I was still having a fuze issue, with the fuze I purchased for my brake lights, it would short when I would brake, I checked all of the wiring. My neighbor suggested I check my light over my license plate, if it was out it might be causing the short. I went to Auto Zone to check into this suggestion, I told them I needed to replace that light, but it wasn't listed in my owners manual. They looked up the part and were able to locate it in their system, replaced it and I wasn't having any further problems with my break light. After this, I contacted the manufacturer about resolving the issue, they told me their was a recall on my turn signal and hazard lights, which I had no issues with. They offered to send me to the dealership to get these fixed. Asked them to check the brake light functionality, which they said were functioning properly. Went to Walmart and had them reinspect my car, which had initially failed, this time it passed.

I have purchased a number of Garmin products, and viewed this company as reputable. My last purchase was a high-end auto gps unit, the nuvi 1490. To my dismay, when I began using this unit, it displayed commercial "offers" on the navigation screen. These unsolicited advertisements popped up during navigation. They blocked part of the screen and distracted from the navigation process. Turning the "offers" option off also turns off important traffic monitoring features. I am both baffled and annoyed by Garmin's policy of forcing users to view commercial advertisements. It conveys the impression Garmin is obsessed with squeezing a few extra bucks out of customers and has little concern for the customer's experience in using its products. My greatest concern is how distracting these little pop-ups are when trying to use this device to navigate while driving. Surely a company a large and reputable as Garmin can find some way to increase its profit margin without being so disrespectful of customers. Although the nuvi gps unit performs reasonably well, I would strongly encourage prospective gps buyers to check with their retail supplier and find out whether the "forced ad viewing" feature is present on the unit they're considering. Be aware that if you buy a unit with this feature, you will be nagged by ads chosen by Garmin and irrelevant to your needs and interests. The ads will be displayed on the navigation screen as you are driving, and you can not get rid of them without shutting down important navigation features you paid for.
