    BEST TRANSPORTATION OF ST. LOUIS
    Recently hired Best to provide transportation via a 10 passenger limo to dinner and a concert.  When I called to hire these services, the staff was very nice and the price was fair for what I was told I was getting.  However, I have to say that I am disappointed with the end result.  The driver did show up early, but seemed to be a bit put off that I wanted to take 10-15 min to set up  the bar, radio, light, and climate control prior to leaving.  The car itself seemed to be in poor condition.  The bar barely had any ice and still had trash in it from the previous passengers.  When I asked the driver to remove the empty bottles and napkins, he seemed slightly irritated that he had to get out of the car again.  Additionally, the climate control system was stuck on full heat only and the car was very uncomfortable.  The driver had to work with something in the engine compartment for about 10 min to fix the issue.  (Pretty embarrassing to have neighbors driving by while there is a limo with the hood up in front of the house.)  Also...The lighting in the passenger cabin was not fully functioning. (Part of the ceiling lights would not come on).  The driver didn't know how to work the DVD/TV system.  And even though I was told that hooking up an iPod to the stereo would not be a problem; this feature didn't work either.  In retrospect, I feel a bit cheated given that the car and driver that we were assigned to fell far short of the expectation provided.  My previous experience with this company a couple years back was a little better, but based on this trip I will look elsewhere in the future and will warn friends and family to do the same.

    I scheduled an appointment for service to the airport.  They did NOT SHOW UP!!  I contacted the company, and they sent another driver.  Unfortunately, we were late for our international flight.  After running through the airport and begging TSA and other airport officials, we made our flight.  We had our children with us, and the entire situation was beyond stressful~~
    They waived their fee, so we didn't pay for the trauma, but the driver spent time on the phone with the scheduler trying to figure out how he was going to be paid!
    I will not use this company again!

    This was my second time using this company.  The first time didn't go well (late picking me up with no call to let me know, took a wrong turn but still charged me for the extra distance, etc.).  Because of their rating on Angie's List, I gave them another chance, thinking maybe it was just one bad driver.  Nope!  This time, they called  (about twenty minutes before my pickup time) and said they were running about 15 minutes late "because someone had ordered eight cars" and they were too busy.  I'm quite sure I had called BEFORE the eight car order, so should not have been delayed for that.  The car ended up being about half an hour late.  Too late to get me where I'd wanted to go, so I had to change my plans.  Thank goodness I wasn't going to the airport to catch a flight!!  This company is clearly unreliable and can not be expected to be on time. 



    I will say that their cars are nicer than most taxi's, but that's about the only good thing I can say.



    Also, since Chesterfield Taxi, Chesterfield Cab and Royal are all the same people .... they should not be shown and rated as different companies.  It's misleading.



    Bottom line is that I will not be using them again and suggest that you don't either.

    I like AAA Travel's travel service. They're very helpful and they have lots of travel information, like free maps, they give out to customers. We were very happy with their service. I think they did an excellent job in interacting with us and they had a lot of great information especially if you're taking a driving trip. Their maps are the best. They give you turn by turn directions and it's very updated with respect to toll roads and roads under construction so it's very helpful. I'm a AAA Travel member and I pay a nominal fee each year and I get a lot of services for that.

    They do a good job.  I have had other work performed there.  The are honest.  If anything they understate adder work rather than pile on the cost.  They need to change their communication with the outside world.  The website is outdated with service hours wrong.  The e-mails are not returned when making an appointment.  The person that answered the phone did not know if there were Saturday service hours. (there weren't).  A couple of times, no one answered the phone.  They need to either upgrade the contact methodology or simplify and just answer the phone.

    I have dealt with the people at Reuther for about 20 years. They are very professional and do a good job. My spouse had been going to another Chrysler dealer and had bad experiences while I have had none. They are good people that do a good job as opposed to people just doing a job

    It was so nice to have a friendly voice at the time of scheduling and to know that I didn't have to worry because they were well prepared and informed. I spoke with Edward, the general manager. Excellent service and a really fun vehicle...looked great in pictures.

    This was a repair on an older (1975) 15 horsepower Johnson Outboard 2-Stroke Motor which failed to start after being stored all winter. I e-mailed Randy and he got back with me the same day. Randy provides on-site marine diagnosis and repair. We later scheduled a follow up appointment. He arrived promptly at 5:00 and went to work. It was very clear from the start that he was very knowledgeable about motors and very familiar with older model engine configurations. He diagnosed fuel line issues within minutes and initially tried blowing out the carbs with a solvent. He was able to get the motor running quickly- but what impressed me most was that he wasn't comfortable with the quality of the repair and decided to strip down and rebuild the carburetor which he was able to do in about 45 minutes. He also did a thorough diagnostic- inspecting the fuel quality, fuel lines and filter. He even drove home to retrieve a part that was needed. After reinstalling the carb he restarted the motor and worked for another 30 minutes to get the lean/mix and idle correctly set- to the point that it would cold start on the first pull with minimal choke which I was never able to do before. He then followed up with a complete review on how best to winterize/dewinterize the motor, re-inspected the plugs, and checked the compression on the engine. I was totally impressed (and a little envious) of his engine knowledge. He has comprehensive shop manuals and was very prepared for the job. Randy has customers all over the St. Louis area and even some customers in Utah that fly him out every year to service their large houseboats. I wish my doctor was as thorough and friendly as Randy was. Sigh. Highly recommended and I would absolutely use him again. P.S.- ask him about his career as a professional scuba diver (retired).
